My elderly parents purchased 2014 VW Tiguan Friday 16/05 from Zooper Aspley. They were told, as were my brother and I who were with my step-dad, that the car was covered under their 7 day money back guarantee. They were to drive it back home to toowoomba and stop by my place which is 30 klms from Aspley. The car shuddered under normal braking all… Read more

the way back to my house.

We turned around and went back to the dealer. They tried to blame my Step-dads driving. They said he'd braked too hard and the rotors were impacted. Which is an absolute fallacy.

My step-dad & Mum wanted to hand the car back then and there as they are elderly and were terrified something worse would happen to the car. The dealership "skinned the rotors" at their cost, and told them on that car there was no 7 day money back guarantee.

I specifically qualified again with the dealer that the car had this guarantee on the Friday before my step-dad signed the contract of sale and took the car the first time - they confirmed in person to my face that this was the case. - to be clear, this was the 5th time it was stated and guaranteed there was nothing wrong eith the car AND it has the 7 day money back guarantee AND a 1 year warranty.

So they refused to guve the money back, said it was a "D1" low priced car (they paid $10990) and he had to drive the car home to Toowoomba where It appeared to drive well.

Fast forward a SINGLE DAY later.

The car has gone into "Limp mode" with a fault light displaying EPC & the engine light.

They will be taking the car straight to Zooper/Eagers Monday and it had better be TOTALLY fixed OR they get their FULL refund.

This is absolutely appalling.

Bad experience ever! – Purchased a car with premium warranty from Zooper car Adelaide. The car has an issue in the first 6 months, and it needs to be fix. Tried to claim it. They said it's not covered. I have to pay it myself.

Read the fine print – Warranty is non transferable. Buyer beware! I have just sold my 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe which was purchased with a Zooper extended Warranty. This warranty kicks in for 2 years after the manufacturers warranty expires. Even though I have diligently adhered to the terms of this warranty, and now that I have sold my car privately, this Zooper warranty… Read more

is not transferable to the new owners. My question is why not, is it the car that is covered or is it person driving it. I have asked Stillwell Hyundai to explain to me and give me any logical reason why this useless warranty should not be transferable, and to this day absolutely no reason has been given. I honestly believe that Zooper is simply minimising their commitment and responsibility to the contract. Why is it that a manufacturers warranty IS transferable, and Zoopers is NOT, even though both warranties are on the same car. Dodgy at best Zooper, or give me any good reason

VE Holden Commodore Purchase from Reynella Hyundai – Overall this purchase experience wasn't as satisfying as the first experience we had with Zooper a year earlier. Thank you to Alex and a big thank you to Amber for your great service and support.

After-sales service is very bad – I bought a Toyota Corolla on 6th March 2020. I started facing issue with the car in the next month only. When I tried contacting the salesperson (Tim Zeccola) he said I am not a technician to help you with. You can get in touch with the service team and get it sorted. Ideally, he was supposed to get me connected with their service department. … Read more

This was the response I got when my car was in 3 months warranty period. I was not asking for my money back. I wanted to get a resolution of my problem as I was stuck at my workplace and my car was not getting started. This kind of attitude was not expected from Zooper at least as they have a good image in the market. I would have bought the car from the local dealer at much cheaper rates. I wouldn't recommend people to go and purchase from Zooper and pay extra money.

Excellent service! Quality vehicles – I bought an 18 month old car from Zooper in immaculate condition. The service was excellent. Their business is to sell cars and, as a woman alone, I appreciated the friendly, respectful service and not having to deal with sales 'hard sell'. (I did go in knowing what I wanted.) Thanks to Holly and David, it will be the dealership I visit when it's time to change over.
