months. Cons? VERY slow to charge battery and it does not last long. Screen jerky on scrolling. Quite annoying. Pros? Fantastically accurate gps. Cost $4. Good phone to take to beach, sailing or cycle ride.

Doesn't even turn on – I got this as a cheap replacement phone while my iPhone is being fixed but I can't even get it to turn on. I have had it on charge for over 24 hours and it shows a little red light when it's charging but won't turn on. I've researched the issue but I can't find anything that helps. but so far the phone was a complete waste of $50. I'm sure if it turned on it would be pretty reasonable for the price but it does't so for the that reason I have to say I'm thoroughly disappointed and frustrated with this phone.

Two Phones Went to Landfill Within Months (Couldn't Text or Call) – I purchased 2 of these at half price. Here's what happened. The screen becomes confused while typing (off and on), so sometimes it can't be typed on at all, because all the letters are incorrect.

it has a weak processor so rendering pages can be very slow. Its fine for call and text, in fact its excellent with a good strong signal everywhere we ventured. For $29 on special at Coles it was fine for the price

Exceptional value – I bought for my Zume 5 direct from Boost. Very impressed with the features and I got it for under $40 including sim with $10 credit and free postage on special from BOOST online shop. common across a range of cheap android devices. You can swipe to type instead of tapping each letter as it doesn't detect where you are pressing at times. Otherwise, cleaning the screen also mitigates the problem.

The device had a firmware upgrade which was simple to install. I recommend deleting some of the bloatware like Boost mobile app and so on if you aren't using it.

Perfect gadget – ZTE Boost Zume 5 is nice even though its not as a Samsung brand but still worth it to use. not all brand is good but this this one is so awesome u can use for a nice camera also and especially esdy to use too. im recommend this to all phone users  Show details

Up graded from boost indy, think indy is better – This is a good phone, but thats where it stops. I would rate the battery as being fair light use say a ten minute call 15-20 text and opening and reading one or two emails will see the battery run under 15%. money, screen is small but to myself that is a plus as fits better into my pocket splitting hairs over difference between zume and indy most noticable being price so if you are up grading its to a phone slightly more expensive rather than better in features

Good value for a basic phone – I bought this on special at Coles for $39. It was to replace a Boost Indy B816 which failed to power up after only two or three months use. I use this new phone for voice call, SMS, and small non-CPU intensive apps. For such a value priced phone it surprisingly comes with Android 6.0 which will help future proof updating apps for a little longer as apps are now beginning to require Android versions greater than Kit Kat.  Show details

Telstra Network we couldn't use our Aldimobile SIMs (that also use the Telstra Network) in them. Wanting to continue using our Aldimobile SIMs we paid AUD2.17 to a place in the UK on Ebay to have each one unlocked. This was successful for both new phones and it only took about an hour to receive the unlock codes.

The phones use 4GX Android 6.0, have Quad core 1.0GHz CPU, 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM and 4.0" Capacitive touch displays which have great colours and are pretty easy to see in most light conditions. They also have a user replaceable (which we like) 1600mAh battery. They also have Micro SIM card (3FF), Bluetooth 4 with stereo headset support, FM Radio, MP3 Player and ringtones, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 4GX LTE with 150Mbps data and most importantly for me a 5 Mega pixel rear camera with 5x digital zoom plus a 2MP front camera. The 5MP rear camera takes terrific photos (better than one of my actual cameras) in pretty much all light conditions (in Pro mode as opposed to Auto mode - I just leave it in Pro mode) and the front 2MP camera is OK too.

The only negatives so far are that if you shut the phone down completely it takes a while to turn on again and you pretty much have to charge it every day if you have it on all the time. Neither of these worries me as I don't make or receive many calls and I don't have it on all the time (just when I need it for something). If you are someone who is on the phone all the time you would need a higher mAh battery or have to recharge it 1-2 a day). Also, the recharging does take quite a long time for some unknown reason.

This would be a great phone for anyone who has a phone for emergencies, or to take photos as the need arises, or to use to access the internet occasionally when out and about - more a light level user rather than a heavy user. We are both very happy with our phones.

Note the ZTE A112, B112 and ZUME 5 are pretty much the same phone just rebadged depending on who you buy it from and which network/provider it is locked to.
