Deestone R101 Tyres - Very Dangerous - Warning Warning - Do NOT Purchase these – Check out this video I have uploaded to YouTube found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqMSaP0E7KY Dangerous Deestone Light Truck Tyres are very dangerous as they disintegrate when new. The particular tyre is the Deestone R101 185R14C 8PR 102/100Q. They were forcing internal structural wires out of the sidewall by the hundreds and the tyre also began to delaminate. A very dangerous tyre which I only discovered when one of the fine protruding fine wires penetrated my finger when checking the tyre pressure, which was set at the manufactures specified pressure. The tyres were fitted to a 15ft single axle caravan which weighed 1400Kg (when loaded) and were only used on a couple of short trips totalling less than 500km. The caravan is a very light weight pop top van for which the tyres should have been suitable. The two tyres were $270 each to purchase new, but in hindsight I should have payed $20 more to get a good brand tyre.
DANGEROUS!!! – I agree with previous reviews, these tyres should have never been released, going around a corner at a safe speed sees the rear end slide out and oversteer slightly and I end up on the other side of the road luckily there were no cars on the other side otherwise I would have hit one. Woeful tyres!!!!

Very dangerous tyre – We had some Deestone tyres put on our vehicle six months ago and are now looking at getting them taken off due to the lack of grip in anything even remotely moist on the road. They continually lose grip in the wet and I end up doing 'burnouts' when I am not attempting to, my wife has even had the car slide out going around a corner at a reasonable and safe speed due to these poor tyres.
These tyres were recommended by Toyota as being 'good' but obviously they don't have a clue about these things.
If you are looking for tires, don't buy Deestones as they are very dangerous.
a dangerous tyre – Acceptable performance in the dry however they are an accident waiting to happen in the wet. No wet traction at all. I had to remove these tires after only 25000 kms because i had too many near misses and numerous times at low speed they would lock up and skid on a wet road. ok in the dry dangerous in the wet
