Excellent. Cannot fault them. I had these fitted to a Mazda3 what I thought was "three years ago", probably sometime during COVID, expecting to get about three years or 40,000km out of them. It turns out that was 2018, well before the COVID lockdowns. So 6.5 years and 75,000km later, the mechanic has only just told me they're getting low and it's… Read more

time to replace. I'm not someone who runs their tyres down, but it's just a case of time flying and the tyres not having given us any issues. I guessed they were put on about 40,000km ago, but was completely wrong.

They've been nothing but grip and reliability in that time. I'm replacing them with the same model.

Good wear but – I liked these tyres from the start. So far great wear but they have commenced tyre road noise to excessive. I’ve had the pressures put up, I’ve had them rotated and over the last 10,000k they sound like a wheel bearing is gone but it’s not. Just the excessive tyre noise. I won’t buy them again because of the noise. Show details

Doesn't Last the Distance – Purchased in 2018, the store I bought from didn't advise I needed to register my tyres online within 30 days of purchase to enable the 6 year, 60,000kms warranty on these tyres. I have been using these tyres less than 4 years and under 40,000kms. 3 out of the 4 tyres are splitting on the outside wall. I had regular services, often less than… Read more

10,000kms each time, as I don't drive my car that much.

The inside tyre is perfect on all tyres, however, as you can see on the photos, there are fine line cracks /splits forming on the outside wall of 3 of my 4 tyres. The tread is still in perfect. I don't drive on gravel or dirt.

Falken can't tell me why this has occurred, but told me to go back to the place I purchased the tyres from, which would normally be okay, however, I refuse to go back to that business as the owner has been very unpleasant to me during my visits. I contacted Falken again to advise, but they have not responded to this. Very poor customer service especially when their tyres are faulty, you would hope they look after their customers, but unfortunately it is not what I have experienced.

Falken need to own this issue as these tyres have not latest the distance and would strongly suggest not to purchase these tyres if you are looking for something to last the kms they boast about and guarantee.

I was recommended by the tyre place that these tyres are amazing and guaranteed them for 60,000kms but failed to advise me of the warranty terms and conditions. I am now extremely disappointed I have to buy more tyres because of this issue occurring on 3 of them.

Disappointed but will definitely not be buying Falken ever again. The only good thing about the tyre is that they have lots of tread still on the tyre, just unfortunate that the wall of the tyre doesn't last.

Very High grip, good ride, too noisey – Very happy with overall grip in wet and dry. But noise above 40kmh is not good. Ride is excellent. Comparable hankook or Bridgestone is much quieter. Again, handling is very good.  Show details

Noisy – Replaced 4 tyres on my Holden late last month. We are now 2000km in and 1200km of those on country and gravel roads. The Ze914 is noisy compared to my previous Goodyear. On both country and city road the handling is as good if not better then previous tyre. They gripped very well both on cornering and emergency stop for wildlife. The weather… Read more

been hot so no comment on the wet condition. However I was very impressed how it gripped on unsealed road.

As for durability only tile will tell. For now I am happy with the overall performance but the noise is off putting.

Great performer and value for money – I live in inner suburbs Melbourne, so not a performance driver, but from the moment these tyres were fitted to my Lexus I noticed the difference! Honestly, it was like my car had been upgraded. Road noise was significantly reduced, bumps felt much softer, and when the car rolled, it rolled much longer before loosing speed. Ecorun works and I did… Read more

notice better mileage. In the first 6 months I was enjoying riding harder around the few S-bends in the wet and dry, always felt like the car had awesome grip to the road; OK, I got over it, I'm behaving myself again. A big thanks to earlier reviewers who convinced me to go with the Falken ZE914.

Unbelievably GOOD in the wet. And economical too – We replaced a set of Bridgestone Turanza e300 on our Honda with these. The Bridgestones had done 80,000Kms with very good performance. The Falken's were offered at a very good price so we gave them a go. That was 20,000Kms ago. First of all, their handling in the wet has been very good. We've driven the really windy Mount Lindesay Highway,… Read more

Newman's Pinch, the curvy bits of Bruxner Highway, and Yabra State Forest all in the wet a few times now without any problems or spin-outs. I drive at a normal pace. If I was going to drive at stupid speeds, I certainly wouldn't recommend these Falkens. Instead, I would choose Goodyear F1s, or Pirelli PZero Neros both of which I've had in the past on a Ford Focus ST. The Falkens have "eco run" in their naming title. Does that give you a hint as to who their aimed at?

Speaking of economy. The Turanzas were good. These are a bit better. I've noticed maybe a 5 to 10% improvement. Handling in the dry is good for an everyday tyre, but I felt the Turanzas were just a tad better. Of course, there's a trade-off between handling and economy. The Falkens are a very quiet tyre. After 20,000Kms I would estimate about 20% wear. I'm expecting about 80,000Kms again with normal driving.

Negatives? None really. These are an excellent tyre for everyday use.

Unbelievably bad in the wet – A short story first. We live in Kuranda, North Queensland and have been driving the winding Range road daily for 31 years. I have always had Bridgestone Potenza RE003s on my Toyota Caldina. The two on the front were slightly older than the back so I thought I should replace. Money was a bit tight at the time so good reviews and price had me… Read more

settling on 2 of these Falkens which I put on the front. This was about 12 months ago. All good. Recently I decided to rotate the tyres and put them on the back. All good. One day after a bit of rain the wife said she had a scary drive home and the car slid out twice on her without driving particularly quickly. Even the old 4WD ute in front of her negotiated the corners okay at the same speed. We have had the Caldina for almost 7 years and not once has either of us got the car sideways. I put it down to maybe some diesel on the road as it had been raining. A couple of days later I drove it down on another rainy day. I think I counted it sliding about 7 times including an instance casually driving around Cairns and it doing a 180 degree spinout just driving it as I normally do. I felt pretty foolish with everyone staring at me who went around same corner at same speed. I couldn't believe it could be the tyres so I was checking pressures and possible mechanical issues. The tread was good. So I took it in to Bob Jane and asked them to check underneath and maybe put the Falkens back on the front. They said they couldn't find anything obviously wrong. It started to rain heavily after I picked it up so took it for a "robust" drive powering through a few empty roundabouts. No more problems. All I could think of was the extra weight of the front of the car holding it down better. I have never, ever had such a extreme outcome with a set of tyres. They handled fine on a dry road and were comfortable and quiet. So you can read into this whatever you will but I won't be going anywhere near these tyres again.

Good tyres – My car is usually very sensitive but with these tyres it minimises the bumps. The tyres run smoothly and good brake control. Only owned the tyres for a 9 months, all is good except one tyre is starting to crack. Show details

High quality Value for money – Purchased a set of these tyres after they were recommended by a local tyre shop. Terrific price point and far more aggressive tread pattern. Road hold in wet and dry is excellent and handling is precise with better turn in than Dunlop's I had. Tread depth seems a lot deeper when comparing with other brand name tyre's which was surprising. So good! – Fitted to Jaguar Sovereign. Most impressed after 10k kms, drives like the day they were fitted, perfect balance, steering and ride with no sign of edge feathering or tyre wear. Quiet on freeway and most surfaces; still waiting for it to rain to check wet weather performance. Show details

Wise Choice – My ride is a Falcon G6E Turbo so a lot of torque to rears using normally which is all the time. I've had others before these but can't fault the Falken ZE214's recommended by the dealer. Quiet, vg handling wet and dry, long wearing and great value. Compared to other higher profile brands, these are better and for less cost . Did i mention quiet? Show details

Surprisingly good – I bought these in the 235/40R18 size, fitted to a large sports sedan. Purchased 6 months ago, and have done plenty of miles during that time. I've found them to have sufficient grip cornering on winding country roads, and the noise and durability seem to be good for a tyre at this price point (I paid about $155ea). Great tyres, great price – I needed to replace original Bridgestone tyres (45K kms) on our Subaru Outback. I searched the options and found that Falken offered best value (buy 4 get one free deal). After 3,000km in all weather, these tyres are great to drive on. I would recommend these tyres, dealer said to expect 60K kms if rotated every 10K kms.  Show details

Good tyres, handles corners well, good in wet too! – Like these tyres, the price was good and included fitting (if you wanted). The online site was: Tyresales.com.au and it was really easy to navigate and purchase, then you can pick your fitting centre and delivery date. Was a good experience. Tyres are very good.

Really impressed so far! – I’ve only had these for a week or 2, so I can’t vouch for their long-term performance, but I’ve been really impressed with how quiet & grippy they are. The Continentals that were on the car from factory we’re comparatively noisy & it looks like I’m getting slightly better fuel consumption now too. I’ve not done any hard cornering in the wet or… Read more

Great Tyres at a Great Price – We had Dunlop Tyres on our 2008 Lexus RX 350 and were a very good tyre. We bought the Falkens on a recommendation from a friend and there was a Buy 4 / Pay for 3 offer in August 2018. These tyres are quiet and handle very well. We have taken them on dirt and gravel roads out in Regional Vic and have found them to handle well. We have been told to… Read more

These tyres have great traction and have actually increased my fuel mileage! – I purchased the 235/60R16 version of these tyres for my 2005 Rav4 in Feb 2018, but have waited until now (Oct 2018) to do this review so I could experience a few hundred k's with them on the vehicle. I have to admit I was nervous about switching major brands as previously I had Dunlop tyres. These tires were on special at buy 3 get 1 free… Read more

for a good deal - all up the 4 tyres cost less than $500 at the time. I was concerned their performance wouldn't be that great during the rainy season.

Long story short, I haven't driven much on dirt roads, but on pavement, they work wonders!

The tires are rated as low friction, and I can say they roll on and on and on.

On the super wet roads, I haven't experienced any hydro-planing. They keep moving right down the road. Granted I haven't been through any floods, but the typical heavy wet rains aren't an issue, even going around turns.

The recommended pressure for them is 40psi. Having kept all my previous tires around the 34psi mark, I was a little hesitant. Anyway, the dealer said to do it, so I have.

This is where the tires are amazing.

Prior to having them installed, I was getting 100km to every quarter-tank marker on my fuel gauge; since having them installed I now get at least 110-120km per quarter tank marker. Same driving to/from work. That's an increase of 10-20%! With the rising fuel prices, these tires will have paid for themselves before the end of the year with the savings.

I don't do off road much, so can't rate how well they will do if you do mostly dirt driving.

But if most of your driving is on pavement, I would definitely recommend these tires!

Good tyre backed with written warranty – I bought a full set of 4 of the Falken ZE914 tyres after my previous tyres only lasted 17,000 km. Selected these primarily because these come with a written warranty for 60,000 km of driving or 6 years, whichever comes sooner, and if they don't reach that they'll give you a pro-rata refund on the purchase price (note you have to register online… Read more

within 30 days of purchase to get this warranty). You do also have to get them rotated every 10,000 km to maintain the warranty, but most people should be doing that anyway. They also come with a puncture warranty for the first year. So if your previous tyres have not lasted as long as expected, these may be a reasonable option. The handling and grip also seems good. Update - after less than 1 year of ownership: I had a puncture in one tyre in the first year, from the sidewall accidentally clipping the side of the kerb turning into a service station. These came with a puncture warranty in the first year, so I took it back to the mechanics and they immediately replaced the punctured tyre with a brand new one at no cost to me. Fantastic! Second Update: Been using these now for 3 years 9 months / 15,000 km, but have just had my 3rd puncture with these tyres - first (above) was clearly my fault, but the 2nd and 3rd were just uneventful driving and then finding a flat tyre. I know that's unlikely to be statistically significant, but a puncture every 5000 km on average is an usually high rate of punctures for me. These tyres can also squeal when cornering hard (even at very low speeds of around 10 to 15 km/hr), such as in car parks or turning to go down tight laneways, unless the tyre pressure is exactly so (around 31 PSI seems best for reducing this problem). Because of both of these issues, I'm reducing my rating on these from 5 to 4 stars.

Comfortable, quiet, smooth, grippy. A bloody brilliant tyre! – Had Potenza RE003's on my MPS for quite some time, before changing to these 914's. I have to say so far I like the 914's better. They're quieter, smoother, and have an unbelievable capability to absorb the bumps and holes on Australian Roads. Adding these tyres has completely changed the way my car feels, handles and drives. lighter, effortless and far less effected by bumps in the road. Grip is as good as the RE003's for just a fraction of the price. Have tested in both dry and the wet and they've performed beautifully.

The best value-for-money tyre on the market at the moment hands down.

Very comfortable and quiet ride – Got these 4 tyres for the price of 3 offer. I don't drive aggressively so I can't say much about the grip. However, driving in the very wet the water is well dispersed and I didn't get aquaplaning. Maybe because it is new it feels a lot more reassuring than the Michelin's I had on, especially in the wet. The tyres are made in Thailand buy I suppose the quality assurance should be good. Can't fault them for the price I paid.  Show details

Good all-round tyre – We have had these tyres on our car for 12 months now and they are a good all-rounder, not quite as grippy as a high-end tyre but reliable and stable in the wet when cornering and braking and very good grip in the dry. At about 20,000km use so far, the tyres have worn about a 3rd so we expect to get close to 60,000km from these. Would def buy again.  Show details

So far good – Had 4 new tyres put on to my Subaru liberty wagon and so far they grip onto the road good as i have not lost traction once in the 5000k I've used them for, handling well in both wet and dry conditions. Wow. Grip and life! – So much grip. Lasted well considering grip levels. Nice aggressive turn in bite, with no discernible flex or wallow. Could still corner at insane speeds on wet roads too. Survived a track day with tread left for work on Monday. Very impressive tyres. My only criticism would be they are harsh over bumps, so may not suit a non sports oriented softer car/driver.  Show details

Excellent – I've previously purchased a set of ZE912's for my partner's Ford Fiesta and they've been wearing very well/evenly and the drive/traction is great.
