Useless / Not Fit For Purpose / Substantially Annoying – From the picture of the product as posted above, this is the discontinued Generation 1. My wife purchased a camera of the Uniden App Cam Solo Plus (Generation 2)

Uniden spent most of the day on 30 July 2019 (with my assistance) trying to fix the problems, but mostly failed and has apparently given up. As such devise will be returned for a refund.

Substantial Annoyance • Masses of useless and continuous SMS audio are received that are not recorded on the phone; • These incessant SMS audio transmissions are at about 1 minutes intervals, and only stop when the App is deactivated or removed, otherwise they go 24/7; • Even even after removing the battery from the devise, the App continues the 24/7 SMS audio pollution; • As such the devise cannot be used at all without the SMS pollution.

The Intruder Alert • The camera Alert jingle only goes for a microsecond, instead of a lengthy ring and is totally insufficient; • In testing it became apparent that upon an Alert, the video is not always captured on the Cloud, so there could be nothing there to reveal an intruder if you were lucky enough to catch the microsecond Alert.

RELIABILITY • As the devise does not always record a video, it is unreliable.

EMAIL: • Initially could not get it to work, but Uniden did manage to fix it by utilising Gmail.
