Excellent – I own a 07 outlander 800 from brand new and I must say it is a very good and reliable bike as I live in a dry/tropical type area and have ridden it… Read more
through....... Everything mud marsh, chail rock ultra fine beach sand, fresh water mud runs, and literally everything. The two things that I would change in the bike is the visco lok for a start. ( they have actually fix this with the new qe ) the 07 lock takes way too long to take up and by then you are bogged. When riding thorough water crossings I found the cvt slips but I think you can fix this quite easily. I have changed my pipes to the looney tunes dual pipes. Wicked sound and very good power increase. I also changed the stock carlisie badlands tires to maxis bighorns. I have ridden the outlander in 45 to 48 degrees celcius weather and have not had a problem with overheating. For a standard bike the outlander will demolish 95% of utility quads and 80% sport quads in A drag race. For ultra tough terrain I went through with a grizzly 700 and my mate had a much easier time than myself due to his full locking front differential. The visco lok plus 800 cc of grunt does make for an easy time. ( have not. Ridden the new quads with qe visco lok but it seems to have fix the problem). Truly awesome power and handling reliability Brakes and visco lok

Two wheel drive sport quads are good on sand - that's about it. Farm quads aren't sporty enough. This is the perfect crossover. 4wd and goes anywhere. It's a shame BRP don't import the 800 still. From what I've read the 1000 is just too powerful. as above. handle bars are a bit low, a higher bend or bar raisers may be necessary for taller people.
