They were able to repair my ssd but incapable of rescueing my files. Not exactly speedy left it at Pitt St store on Aug 20 it's now Sept 8 and the task is finished (they tell me by email) and now being asked to wait for delivery back to store.

was an unviable option that would have cost me too much time both in dropping off and picking up the phone and not having the phone for at least a day. I wanted a genuine Apple battery as I have had a bad experience (with my wife's phone) getting a non-genuine replacement at one of those shopping centre kiosks. The non-genuine batteries overheat and don't hold their charge; they may be cheap, but you get what you pay for! Fix2U were the only option I could find that would provide a genuine Apple battery replacement with on-the-spot service. Tomasz was excellent. He called me to confirm that I wanted a genuine battery; ordered the battery; arrived at the agreed time and replaced the battery in 30 minutes. Apple would have charged me $149 and cost hours of my time and a day without my phone. Fix2U charged me $249 but did the job quickly and professionally. I highly recommend their service.

Excellent service from the staff in the Sydney Westfield Central store. Managed a repair and data recovery on a phone that had been deemed irreparable and data lost by multiple repairers.

Data Recovery specialists. I rang both companies. Both were professional and polite, but Payam Data Recovery (Brisbane) were also kind and had a very personalised approach. We were put in contact with Scott the amazing Data Recovery Technician who was very reassuring and really seemed to care about our situation. All communication (on the phone, in person and via email) was clear and effective. We were kept up to date at all times and our data was returned to us (yay) in an efficient timeframe. travelled all the way from Greenslopes to Chermside because I was genuinely impressed by the customer service when I first came to this store for my iPhone 14 Pro. That previous experience was the reason I decided to return for my brand-new iPhone 18 Pro. Unfortunately, this time was completely unacceptable.

My phone was literally fresh out of the box. BRAND NEW. And the way the first staff member handled it was so careless that it honestly felt like they were handling a phone that they personally had to pay for insurance on. Handling it with excessive force and with dirty, oily hands!

I only asked for three things: a phone case, a screen protector, and a camera protector. I was told that getting them as a “bundle” would be a good deal. What I was NOT told was that the bundle also included a $50 BACK PROTECTOR that I never asked for and never wanted.

I was immediately brought to the counter to pay after installation, assuming I was paying for the three items I specifically requested. Imagine my shock when the total was $172.69 because there was an additional $50 item included that had never been properly explained to me. How is that supposed to be transparent customer service? If a bundle includes an additional product that costs $50, YOU NEED TO TELL THE CUSTOMER BEFORE INSTALLING IT AND BEFORE CHARGING THEM. I do not mind paying extra for a non-bundle, as I never wanted the back protector! It looks ridiculous on the phone.

Additionally, the camera protector installation was absolutely unacceptable. The first staff member used WAY TOO MUCH FORCE when attaching the camera protector, aggressively pressing and rubbing it onto my phone. As a result of the excessive force used during the installation, the camera protector ended up with a very visible dent.

I paid $40 for a BRAND-NEW camera protector, only for it to be damaged during installation because the staff member was handling it with excessive force. And on top of that, there were FINGERPRINTS from the staff member on the camera protector after the installation.

The store wasn’t even busy, so what exactly was the rush? There were not many customers inside, yet my phone was handled as though the staff just wanted to get me out of the store as quickly as possible. The level of care was honestly unacceptable.

A few minutes later, we went back to the store. The first staff member was no longer there, and I was assisted by two other staff members. I will give credit where it is due: I am grateful to those two for actually listening to my concerns, removing the back protector that I NEVER WANTED, and replacing the damaged camera protector.

But then I found out something else as I originally wanted individual glass caps for the cameras. The first staff member told me they were unavailable, so I was given the full-coverage camera protector instead. When I came back to complain, the other staff members told me that the individual glass caps are available, just not for the newer model. The first staff member could have simply said, “We have individual caps, but unfortunately they are not available for the iPhone 18 Pro.” Instead, I was told they were unavailable. That is completely different information.

Charging someone almost $200 for this level of service is ridiculous. The bar for customer service here was not just low — the bar was in HELL.

At the very least, I expect compensation for this experience. If possible, I would like a refund for the $50 back protector I never wanted or used, and the original $40 camera protector that was damaged during installation due to excessive force. I paid for brand-new products and a professional installation, and that is absolutely not what I received.

I paid $172.69. I expected transparency, care, and professionalism. Instead, I got careless handling of a brand-new phone, a camera protector damaged during installation and covered in fingerprints, an unwanted $50 product, and inconsistent information from staff.

I came back to this store because I had a good experience previously. I genuinely regret expecting the same level of service this time.

denial of the mess they left my computer files in. Well I have spent the last three months trying to sort this mess out with only limited success so on the 7/Sept/26 I contacted them again as to any resolution to their returning my PC to the state it was in before they touched it. On page three of the attached documents is nothing but a ransom note saying 1 any service will be billed at their $165.00 per hour rate and 2 Is conditional on my removing my previous negative review on this site. I have read too many other negative reviews from disgruntled former customers on this Product Review site who have had similar experiences to myself so perouse these reviews before considering Buzz A Geek services. I have since contacted another on line PC repair service who for a reasonable fee competently removed the previously useless installed programs and restored my folders to their previous state. I can not understate the stress this Buzz A Geeg experience has caused me.
