We co-sleep with our child, and within the first month experienced a bottle spill. To our surprise, the liquid penetrated the protector and left a stain on the mattress.
We lodged a warranty claim the following morning. To their credit, a technician attended within the week to clean the stain and advised allowing time for it to fully dry. After a few days, the stain faded but was still faintly visible. Protect-A-Bed replaced the protector, and we returned the defective one.
We had purchased two protectors to rotate between washes, and unfortunately, both failed including the replacement one. Over time, our mattress has developed multiple ring stains, which defeats the entire purpose of using a mattress protector.
The product itself feels thin compared to more budget friendly ones, and we have followed all care instructions carefully, washing only with towels and linens, and drying using a heat pump dryer.
Given the premium price point, the performance is extremely disappointing. A mattress protector should provide reliable waterproof protection, and this product simply does not deliver.
I would like to support an Australian business, but based on our experience, this is a low-quality product sold at a premium price. I would strongly caution others before purchasing, especially given similar feedback reflected in other reviews.

so I took a gamble on the Bamboo Jersey Waterproof Fitted Mattress Protector in White. After opening the packaging I had reservations about the claim it being waterproof as it looked quite thin, transparent in fact. I fitted the sheet which is quite a loose fitting unit, but still had reservations about the water proof aspect so placed a paper towel in-between sheet and mattress and drizzled a little water on top of protector. Well, it did as advertised. So now it's a matter of longevity which I hope proves as reliable, but for now very happy with purchase

washed it the wrong way. Purchased second one, followed directions for washing to the letter and same thing happened. When I contacted them the company said I could "buy a new one". Steer clear.
