well but the noise level is incredibly annoying, like a continuous rattling. It can be heard in the next room. I have had a Panasonic service technician check it out but they just say that this is normal operational noise. Normal for Panasonic perhaps but with the old fridge I didn't know if it was running or not! Don't buy this fridge unless your hard of hearing is my advice.
