Best Champagne & Sparkling Wines
Perfection – I purchased this wine having never heard of it. Big mistake was only buying one bottle to take on overnight lake trip. Loved it as it was refreshing and just lovely to drink. My new go to drink. Show details
Summer wine – Perfect for the summer holidays. I serve them chilled well as it refreshes every meal and dessert. It goes along with almost anything and the sweet taste is my take away since it really perks me up after meals. I highly recommend this sparkling!
Just not right – I was gifted a Riccadonna Ruby at the bringing of 2023, it was lovely, light in colour, lightly sweet and sparkling, bubbly. I wanted to buy some for… Read more
Christmas and looked everywhere. Most places said it was taken of the shelves as there was an issue with it. I finely found it in a small independent liquor store, and purchase two bottles, $16 each. I opened one tonight and it was terrible. Dark in colour, heavy, no sparkling, "bubbles" flat as, and overly sweet. It tasted like a cheap port at best. What Has Happened to Riccadonna. I have drunk the white one for many years, which I have always enjoyed, it was a surprise to be gift the ruby earlier this year and I found it refreshing. To say I was a disappointed is an understatement.
Oh such a shame, it was my best sparkling wine but now its just a frothy wine – Since the 50th celebration, this sparkling has gone into a decline, its so frothy that it tastes terrible, its not a clear refreshing drop as it used to be, it doesnt seem to have a higher sugar content but may as well have a beer!!!! arg!!!! pop, I have the top of the cap in my hand, and the screwable type lid is still on the bottle. When I attempt to remove it, I screw it left a couple of times and it cuts my hand. The small parts left by the disconnection from the original "uncorking", are sticking out and they are quite harmful, and definitely painful. It's happened to me over three times in the past 10 months. Please reevaluate the cooking method, or just go back the ways it was when that kid cover was better adhered to the cap. Please? Unpleasant experience is not what I am hoping to get out of reopening the bottle. Please? Thank you for any time and consideration you may give regarding this request .

the Marie de Moy, all delicious with a personal favourite the red Brut. If you can buy it in your state, go for it, it shan't disappoint. Beautiful Champagne which may be enjoyed without the guilt of spending a lot of money and also avoiding the headaches of the cheap sparkling local wines. Go for this Champagne it won't disappoint and you'll thank me for this review!

This is the best wine of its type. For all occasions and all celebrations. Fine bubbles and delicious taste. For around $20 per bottle it is fantastic value. You don't have to pay a fortune for happy sparkling wine. Never disappoints
Horrible!! – We were treated to a bottle of this champagne at a restaurant for our 25th anniversary. The price on the bill was $100. It was awful - and I'm no connoisseur. It honestly tasted like the cheapest champagne on the market. So disappointing. Show details

One of the better French champagnes in the mid-range – This is a consistently good champagne but not worthy of 5 stars. It is definitely a better option than an average Moet with a much smoother taste but… Read more

to a far from attractive $40 in a little over 24 months. They now only offer the premier cru label (which isn’t as nice as the regular version) and are stocking Marie de Moy as an alternative which is very inferior

recently, both were full flavoured and very pleasant to drink at a good price point. Lately, they changed their packaging to a more 'recycled' look, and with it, the quality of the wine. Now both varieties taste like they have been watered down. No distinctive flavour anymore. Won't buy again, there are much better bottled wines even in the less than $10 range.

me very sick. I wrote to Browns brothers and never received any acknowledge of my complaint, hence this bad review. So, bad company probably equals bad wine

probably the worst Alcohol free wine I have tasted, so much so, I am compelled to let everyone know not to make my mistake, which was to buy a whole carton for over the Christmas period. The fact that it is low in calories too is probably what makes it so unpleasant, low no sugar = no taste. I have to mix it with a soft drink of some sort to make it taste nicer which defeats the purpose! Sorry Giesen, your report card reads; Try Harder! a lot harder!
Disappointing wine – Tasteless prosecco with no merit. The write up on the wine is fantasy. Very over priced. It is a marketing ploy as the bottle is a lovely gold… Read more

bottles on special, normally $17 each. The wine proved to be well under par, more like cask wine: watery and without much substance. We regularly buy red wine in the same price bracket, this one was by far the worst I remember. I posted a review on the Coles Liquor website (which had 5 reviews with 5 or 4 Star rating on it), giving it one Star. After initially taking my review, I was one day later informed that my review had been 'moderated', meaning: not published. It appears that Coles only allows positive reviews. My review was polite but clear, stating only what I'm sharing here. Here's what a good Merchant would do: Apologize for the poor quality, ask for more details, oofer to investigate whether there is an issue with this particular wine, and maybe offer a refund for the wine bought. Not so Coles! All I can say is don't trust any reviews on a merchants own website. Well, I'll definitely won't buy any McGuigan wine anymore.
