Not happy with performance – I bought the above and took it back shortly after regarding the chuck dumping the bits. The drill was changed without question. Now around 3 years… Read more

later and home handyman use I find that nothing happens when the trigger is pulled regardless that both batteries are fully charged. The only way to make it sort of work is to slide out the battery and reattach with the trigger partially pulled. If I let the trigger go it will not work again until I go through the same procedure. As a consequence I dont get any work done and the drill is in effect useless.Has anyone else had this problem. A solid drill, even drilling holes in bricks and harder materials like tiles, etc – For the retired who wish they were a pro handyman! Great for timber and the battery holds the charge for two hours of solid work. The battery needs a… Read more

good 12 hour charge even if the green light stays on. The secret is to buy high quality drill bits. I am happy with this product from Bunnings!

lasts very long and is quick to charge to full. The build quality is outstanding (as you would expect from Bosch) and will easily withstand a few accidental drops. The 'bit selector' is very intuitive and you can swap or replace the bits easily. The included case is also excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this product to anyone looking for an excellent all-rounder electric screwdriver for around the house.

Practical heavy duty rotary hammer, Bosch GBH 4-32 DFR – So, I am often amused by the fact that Bosch use the letters GBH as an entry for their rotary hammer descriptions. If ever grievous bodily harm,… Read more

could be inflicted on bricks, some concrete and then the Bosch 4-32 is guilty. Light enough for the average bloke or person to manage with a good safety margin the capability of this machine is very wide indeed, and more importantly it comes as a kit, with a standard chuck included as well as the SDS + chuck, lubrication grease for the drill bits, and assortment of SDS plus bits of high-quality as well as a number of other extras. As of July 2022, pretty typical price is around $700 Australian. It is a 240 V tool, which to my mind still has an advantage in terms of being able to run literally all day without interruption and provides maximum power output consistently all the time. I have a Bosch 18 V rotary hammer as well, a small capacity one which is fantastic, but when really heavy hitting Is required the 432 is always ready. It fits my hand well, extremely well balanced, easy to use, very little vibration particularly when using Bosch 4 Cutterhead masonry bits, which are my favourite for drilling into masonry and concrete, it is not hard to go up the ladder with it takes no effort to drill a hole typically it’s using my hands is from 8 mm to 22 mm holes and in all these cases it is an effortless quick and comfortable tool to use. It is now a couple of years old and I am satisfied that its performance, reliability and capability genuinely warrant a five star rating and comments made in public reflecting my user experience.

I have a number of Bosch corded rotary hammers, I personally feel based on 20 years of use of them, that bunch really do make outstanding corded rotary hammers and as the inventors of the SDS system their Rotary hammer drills are just brilliant precision instruments which are complimented By the outstanding development if it’s the Bosch put into their SDS plus drill bits. I find of the combination outstanding and I also find and believe the value for money proposition with the 432 and its supporting gear is excellent, are you truly robust reliable capable machine which if anything the advertising for it sells it short, it is an outstanding machine that performs to the maximum not consistently all day. Anyone who buys this unit will The extremely satisfied with it

Ideal handyman drill / driver – I've had mine now for a few years. Was a bit worried about the low voltage (10.8 v) but have had no trouble at all. Feels very good and well made and with 2 batteries there is no problem. Show details

brands around that sell good cordless drills, but you pay a lot for them. Which is why I was surprised when I was researching cordless drills for my next lot of DIY projects and kept seeing the Bosch AdvancedImpact 18 mentioned.

It might seem silly to get excited about a cordless drill, but the AdvancedImpact 18 has exceeded my expectations. I've drilled into masonry, into plaster walls, even some steel. This drill has a lot of power, more than you would expect at this price point.

It has three modes; screw, drill and hammer. The kind of modes you would expect from most drills. Where things get interesting is the chuck. You can pull it off and replace it with other chuck adapters they sell. I also bought the angled chuck for screwing on angles which has saved me a couple of times now with flatpack furniture.

I highly recommend this drill. It's easily one of the best drills I have ever owned.

Long lasting and comfortable – I bought mine 2nd handed and kept using it for close to a year so far. Perfect for light use especially when quick impact function needed yet not too… Read more

much power to damage tiny screws.

Very comfort handling and runs smooth and quiet. The ring LED keeps minimum shadow which is a high light. Relatively long with today's view - it's longer than most of latest 18v impact drivers in the market. That only becomes to a problem once for me but I get other tools.

Lately it started to develop sparks in the motor and I found out it's because motor brushes are run out. At least it proves how well this tool can last through years of constant use of the previous user (I paid close to nothing for it. He told me it was used in a factory) as it takes long time for brushes to worn out especially for a small tool. Most of tools have no chance to last till brush replacement.

Sadly it's impossible to replace it's RS550-VC 8518 motor brushes without damaging the motor housing - so I bought a new one from eBay for around AUD 12.00. Removing the 15 teeth gear from old motor and mounting to the new motor is a bit challenge but otherwise very easy. Now it works like new again!
