it did help me learn that 45W is shared amongst all ports, a convention that most manufacturers follow.

Like most, I imagine many have a number of low power usb chargers at home, such as mobile phone chargers and built-in usb ports found in many power boards. However, I am after a reasonably powerful unit, one that can help me charge up devices quickly, such as my laptop and batteries. Therefore, whilst this 100W USB-C power adapter only has 2 ports - USB-C and USB-A, I decided to drop my money on it.

This Comsol 100W adapter is reasonably or competitively priced, has enough juice to power / charge most (I don't know of anything that needs >100W) devices. I have not had any issues charging anything in parallel using this unit. I also like the faint blue light on the body which nicely shows the unit is on without being distracting. I actually have it on the desk hence I appreciate this.

Its design is old school - long rectangular design, not the smallest brick on the market and not the lightest; with velcro straps provided to tidy up the cables. However, the velcro straps are not permanently attached on one end to the cable like many manufacturers do, to keep them from falling off and getting lost. Not as nice as the thin cable of Apple power adapter with hooks for tidying up cables. Anyhow, even Apple has gotten rid of them.

Important to note that high amp power supply can be used to charge devices that need little current. So long the voltage is the same, it is safe to do so. Because of its 112W total power output, it can charge / power laptop, tablet, phone, watch, headphones, headset, speakers, eReader, gaming consoles, camera, according to its own literature. Add drone battery and controller to the list. It is pretty universal! Wish the usb-c side of the cable comes off or it comes with different adapters. Then it is truly universal.

Kevlar, but apparently not. I've replaced nearly 10 of these cables because they keep failing after a month or 2. I disconnect it from the base.
