and was sticking out underneath. How did THAT pass quality control? Surprise 2#: Doesn't oscilate, just revolves 360deg - useless for a small apartment. 3#: Only Low or Very High setting, nothing in between. Surprise 3#: Can't clean blades!!!!! What THE ACTUAL HELL? Love how the manual says: "Grill and Blades become dusty over time and causes problems...' NO. TRASH! But can't remove cover. It even says that. Well, thanks. 94 bucks - rip-off! Update: The (only) knob also comes off while trying to turn it.

speed, but acceptable. Simple operation, with all standard features. The night light is good for sleeping time, but relatively too bright, if it is dimmable be better. The only issue is, it came with non-matching remote control, fan is white, remote is black, and it cannot fit into the hole designed for remote control on the fan, I have three fans, but only 2 left, lost one because I cannot store the remote on the fan, also one fan with one digit segment of the display faulty within one year, hence I reduce rating by one star.

buttons, like alarm clock loud, I guess this fan is intended for industrial use in noisy warehouses etc? I opened up and put gap filler in the beeper on the circuit board which reduced the sound significantly but very difficult doing this. Also wanted to add a smart socket to turn on off...fans are one of the most common items to use smart plugs on, sadly this one is too clever for that, when you turn on it does not go back to the setting you had when it was on, I should have tested this in store.

Awful product and customer service from both retailer and manufacturer – Fans turn off after 24 hours. Manufacturer claims it is a safety feature, yet not listed in user manual. "Night mode" is quiet, but also reduces the… Read more

Not fit for purpose – I was genuinely very hopeful of this product as it seemed to fit the ideal of being better value than a similar sized circulator and combining the… Read more
air purifier element to it. I've been wanting to get a Vornado for a while, but the price is quite inflated in Australia. Unfortunately I wish I had gone with the Vornado, as this thing simply doesn't do what it says it does. The volume of air it moves is pathetic, even on the highest setting, which is too loud to use. I had this pointed directly at me from the foot of my bed on full power and could barely feel more than a gentle breeze. Pointing it at the wall like you do with an air circulator also made no difference, in a 3mx3m room. I ended up putting my $20 kmart fan on.
The sensor for the air purifier is also terrible, simply because there's clearly no mechanism for moving air across it. I can be cooking in a smoke filled kitchen and it'll be happily saying Green. Bushfire smoke doesn't trigger it, so the only reason I bought it it's no good for. The only time I got it to trigger a different air quality setting is blowing a match out literally 1cm from the sensor, so I guess if my home burnt to the ground it might change to 'poor'.
I complained to Appliances Online and to Dimplex, AO fobbed me off for a 'service call' from Dimplex, which I didn't receive. Dimplex didn't get back to my direct complaint in over a week. I will never buy anything from either Appliances Online or Dimplex again and I'll be making a complaint to Fair Trading NSW.
Update! After fair trading got in touch, appliances online arranged to collect and fully refund the item. Dimplex never got back to me after multiple attempts to contact them.

this it would last me a few years but to be thrown out in under 12 months of ownership is ridiculous. I will never purchase Dimplex ever, I’ve just purchased one from Kmart which has fairly good reviews. I’ve attached photos of this fan it’s outside on its way to the bin! It has a two year warranty but I purchased online from Big W it’s over one hour drive each way for me to return, I can also return by post but threw the box away & I have to wear the cost of postage it’s not worth it I’ll just end up with another headache! Thanks Dimplex!!!
