about 75mm on each side to open. Auto defrost is a little noisy. Sounds like it has a dialup internet modem included. Freezer has door pockets which is rare from what I've seen on other brands, very handy for small packets. Will definitely buy again when the time comes.

straight forward with the wifi connectivity. After around 6m, after changing the water filter and resetting the notification, it came back 2 months later and wil not turn off. After just over a year, the freezer door started rusting in the handle area. 1 1/2 years, the rust has spread and now appears on the front of the door. No chemicals used on the fridge since day 1. Called for warranty and was told due to clause 13.3, rust is not covered. The paint on the doors is very poorly done and now wipes off with water.

frozen our food, ruining groceries and causing constant frustration. It became so bad that the entire fridge was replaced under warranty. Unfortunately, the replacement fridge developed the exact same freezing fault.
Since then, we've endured countless technician visits, repair attempts, phone calls and emails. Instead of acknowledging that this is clearly a product with an ongoing major fault, the response has always been to send another technician and attempt another repair.
The final straw came just recently. After being told the fridge had finally been repaired, we restocked it for the first time in weeks. Less than 12 hours later, instead of freezing, the fridge failed in the opposite way—it warmed up completely and we lost an entire fridge full of meat, milk, ham, dairy and other groceries.
It genuinely feels like the repeated repairs were used to drag the issue out until the warranty expired, rather than honouring the warranty and providing a proper remedy. No customer should have to fight this hard over a product that has never consistently worked as it should.
This is now the second fridge of the same model with ongoing faults. A product that requires this many repairs and even a replacement, yet still cannot perform its basic function, is simply not fit for purpose.
Save yourself the stress, wasted food and endless frustration. I certainly won't be buying from this brand again.

The Best Appliance Purchase I've Made.
After spending weeks comparing different brands and models, I finally decided on the Hisense 483L Quad Door Fridge, and after using it for several months, I can honestly say it has exceeded my expectations in almost every way.
First Impressions
The first thing that struck me when it arrived was how premium it looked. The sleek quad-door design instantly made my kitchen feel more modern and expensive. The clean lines, recessed handles, and stylish finish give it a high-end appearance that looks far more expensive than what I actually paid.
The delivery team placed it into position, and I immediately noticed how solid and well-built it felt. The doors open smoothly, close firmly, and have a satisfying quality feel to them.
Storage and Layout
The 483L capacity is absolutely perfect for my household. What surprised me most was how much larger it feels inside compared to my previous fridge.
The quad-door layout is one of my favourite features. Instead of opening one huge door and losing all the cold air, I can access specific sections quickly and efficiently.
The refrigerator compartment is spacious and extremely well organised. There is plenty of room for:
• Large platters • Leftover containers • Fresh fruit and vegetables • Milk cartons • Bottles and drinks • Weekly grocery shopping
The shelves feel sturdy and can hold heavy items without flexing.
The door balconies are particularly useful. I can easily fit large milk bottles, juice containers, sauces, and condiments without struggling for space. The XXL door storage is genuinely practical rather than just marketing hype.
Freshness Performance
One of the biggest improvements I've noticed compared to my old fridge is how much longer food stays fresh.
Vegetables remain crisp for days longer. Strawberries, berries, lettuce, herbs, and leafy greens all seem to maintain freshness better than before.
The Dual-Tech Cooling system appears to do an excellent job maintaining consistent temperatures throughout the fridge. I no longer find certain shelves freezing food while other areas feel warmer. Everything remains evenly cooled and fresh.
Flexible Temperature Zone
The standout feature for me is the My Fresh Choice compartment.
This section can be adjusted anywhere between freezer temperatures and refrigerator temperatures depending on your needs. This flexibility has been incredibly useful.
When hosting family gatherings, I use it as extra fridge space for drinks and desserts.
When buying bulk meat, I convert it into additional freezer space.
This feature alone makes the fridge feel much more versatile than traditional designs.
Freezer Space
The freezer drawers are deep and surprisingly spacious.
Everything stays organised because I can separate:
• Frozen vegetables • Meat • Ice cream • Prepared meals • Frozen fruit
Unlike older freezers where items disappear to the bottom, the drawer system makes everything easy to find.
No more digging through frozen mystery bags.
Ice and Water Dispenser
One of the reasons I chose this model was the non-plumbed water and ice dispenser.
I didn't want the hassle or cost of plumbing installation.
The convenience of having chilled water and ice available whenever I want has been fantastic. Family members use it constantly, especially during warmer weather.
The automatic ice maker keeps up surprisingly well and means I never need ice trays again. The ice are separated and doesn't stick together in the ice trays.
Quiet Operation
I was initially worried about noise because our kitchen is open-plan.
Thankfully, this fridge is remarkably quiet.
Most of the time I don't notice it running at all. Occasionally I hear a gentle hum when the compressor is working, but it is far quieter than my previous refrigerator.
The inverter technology seems to make a noticeable difference in keeping operation smooth and efficient.
Energy Efficiency
Another pleasant surprise has been the energy efficiency.
The fridge has a strong energy rating and doesn't appear to have increased my electricity usage noticeably despite its generous size.
Smart Features
The Wi-Fi connectivity and ConnectLife app were features I initially thought I wouldn't use much.
However, being able to monitor and adjust temperatures remotely is quite convenient. The app is straightforward and easy to navigate.
It's one of those features that seems unnecessary until you start using it regularly.
Lighting
The LED lighting deserves a mention.
The entire interior is brightly illuminated, making it easy to find items even at night. There are no dark corners, and everything is clearly visible.
The lighting also contributes to the premium feel of the appliance.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning has been extremely easy.
The glass shelves wipe clean effortlessly, and the flat surfaces prevent food debris from becoming trapped.
The fingerprint resistance is also better than expected, which helps keep the exterior looking clean and polished. Although easy to leave fingerprints, also easy to wipe away clean.
Value for Money
This is where the Hisense truly impressed me.
Comparable quad-door refrigerators from premium brands often cost significantly more. Yet this fridge offers many of the same features, similar storage capacity, modern styling, flexible cooling zones, ice and water dispensing, and smart connectivity.
It genuinely feels like a premium appliance without the premium price tag.
Things I Like Most
• Stylish modern appearance • Massive usable storage • Excellent food freshness • Flexible My Fresh Choice compartment • Ice and water dispenser • Quiet operation • Energy efficient • Easy organisation • Bright LED lighting • Outstanding value for money
Final verdict
After months of daily use, I can confidently say the Hisense 483L Quad Door Fridge has been one of the best appliance purchases I've made.
It combines style, practicality, flexibility, and excellent performance into one beautifully designed package. Every member of the household loves using it, and it has made food storage and organisation far easier than before.
If you're looking for a spacious family fridge with premium features without paying premium-brand prices, I highly recommend the Hisense 483L Quad Door Fridge.
Thank you Hisense for creating a product with consumers in mind.

Hisense for that many months, this is the main reason I reduce the stars rating. I have a Hisense 280L freezer since 2021 which I love, hence when I renovated my kitchen last year, I purchased this fridge, it fits exactly into the space the kitchen was design. It has been running well. The look is very stylish and modern, the internal is really big, I do not have to concern about capacity. There is also a half slip shelf which you can slide down, enable you to temporary put high object into it without re-shuffle the shelves. The auto Ice generator is also a plus, I do not have to play with ice making tray every now and then, but the issue with it is, it will not stop dropping ice until you push a button, hence it could overflow, also large and small ice block drop down the same rate, end up with large ice block full, but small ice block is only half. There is also one compartment which I can set to any temperature to suit requirement, I set it to 0, which is good to store meat without making it too hard to de-frost. The only problem is that the fridge is too big, if I open the door for slightly longer, the temperature will drop, I set it up to 2 degree, I measured it may varies between 1.5 to 6. There is a wifi connection, you can set temperature remotely, and receive notifications, to me it is not too much useful, not sure for others. In addition, the fridge is super heavy, gross weight is 135.5Kg, net 125KG, you will need assistance to take it out from the box. The registration issue, I registered twice via the Hisense AU site, it accepted the request, but returned with registration unsuccessful a few days later, without telling you what the reason. I sent an email to customer service, NO reply. I submitted a third registration and called their customer service, they help me to register over the phone, but a week later, I still receive a registration unsuccessful email, and I cannot see the product in my Hisense account. I chatted with their online customer agent, they said it is registered in the system, but for product not showing in account, I have to send enquiry to customer service by email, which it did not work in the past, I am not sure why this cannot be done during the chat, since they suppose to be customer service anyway. Well, at this point, the product is warranty for two years, I guess as long as it does not fail within the two year, the registration is meaningless anyway, if it works the same as the freezer, then the product itself shall be a 5 stars.
