builds up around the freezer door seal, preventing it from closing properly. I’m forced to manually wash out the frost, only for the same issue to recur at the bottom suction soon after.
What’s even worse is that this started happening within the first year of purchase—completely unacceptable for a new appliance. The design is flawed, and maintaining this fridge has been an absolute nightmare.
Save yourself the frustration and money—DO NOT buy this product!
Dead a few months past 3 year warranty ending – A couple of months passed warranty ended and it's dead. Woke up in the morning and everything in the fridge was warm. Family got food poisoning from it.
9yrs on and still going strong.So quiet & remains a consistent temperature throughout the fridge & freezer. Easy to clean inside outside. I use Hillmark steel clean for the stainless steel. Show details

When the Hisense repairer arrived, he had with him the wrong door (he brought the right-hand side), then he decided to remove the left hand-side fridge door, which had the water and ice dispenser built in. The screeching sound was replaced with a leaking water dispenser, leaking around the seals on both doors, water in my shelves on the doors and the right-side fridge door that sat 25mm higher than the left-hand side door. When I reported it, without even coming to inspect it, they just said it is faulty and they would have to replace it. Unfortunately, no stock was available, and then Hisense forced me to get a refund from the product and to deal with the retailer. They completely wiped their hands clean. I went 6 weeks with a leaking fridge, had to pay $400 to get the new fridge (LG) and had to pay another $400 to get the new fridge plumbed, of which Hisense refuse to pay. Stay away, horrible experience and accountability 0.
Good fridge – Double door fridge. It has been really good so far. Side by side doors. The only problems are finger marks on the black finish. Also this does not have an open door alarm so if you leave it open, you are not alerted! Show details
Some much space – Love the space of this fridge and the ice and water on demand. The top sliding compartment is perfect for deli meats and the kids school lunches. It’s hard to believe but this fridge makes my life easier. Show details

6 years and still going strong – Bought this fridge 6 years ago and it has not skipped a beat even after a house move! Love the wide shelves for oven trays or cakes, I like the freezer below, rather than above. Entertaining is a breeze with shelves easily moved and cleaning is easy. I just recently dropped one of the door baskets and it broke, but I can still get replacements 6 years later!! That's brilliant. Would get another if it failed. Show details

expecting at least 10 years for a fridge and are very disappointed that the fridge cannot be fixed. Don't waste your time with this shoddy Hisense brand. From the word go there were issues with the icemaker....waste of time and money. Hisense Customer Relations could not help us at all.
The worst fridge I have ever purchased – I purchased this fridge at Harvey Norman and the first year it worked fine...and it went down hill from there. Ice maker kept defrosting, the freezer kept defrosting, mildew accumulated on the inside of the water dispenser after numerous cleans; the seals have disintegrated! area well and half the time it results in water squirting on to the floor as you try to manoeuvre the bottle into place. Now we have an issue with the freezer not working. We are waiting for a technician to come out and we look to lose all produce in our freezer. Not good enough for a fridge that is only 3 years old.

am sick of loosing contents, they sent another small draw. Again months n emails, still loosing contents. Calls were not getting through each time. Rarely gotten through after long period lengthy times. Beginning of may 2021 yay draw arrived. Not to mention seals were not closing tightly, and insects were getting into the fridge. Had to remind them to send seals as they said we will send free of charge. Cheeky I thought as still under warranty. And as for the bottom draw seals I use vaseline to help it stick close. Answer this morning from Hisense was take them of was in hot soapy water and they will reshape. How is this for a 12 month old fridge. Purchased around the 5th may 2020 $1,999.00. Negatives: biggest negative is that you have to hold the door on the right especially when it closes if you don’t want the contents of the door all over the inside of the fridge. They both slam shut. It’s not a massive issue if you don’t have your hands full. The ice maker is slightly more noisy than I thought it would be but having said that it doesn’t bother me it isn’t something that would wake you up unless the fridge is in your bedroom. Also can’t adjust the shelving or change the layout. Which is basically what I’d expect at this price point. Overall: for the price I think this fridge is very good. A similar fridge with a non slamming door would cost you twice as much. We bought ours from JB and got the extended warranty which I would recommend when buying anything from the people’s republic.

eventually replaced it. Another lemon this one leaks and the converter draw freezes randomly. The ice works then stops. Under 3 years old and I’m about to dump it in hard rubbish because I just can’t deal with the stress of haggling to have it fixed. Honest people like me never get a break !!

Great fridge...When it works. this water was ice cold. Each time it happened we would soak it up. We then contacted Hisense again who then sent out a 3rd party technician who didn't diagnose the issue. A few weeks went by and the leaking was back and we notice that food wasn't lasting long in the fridge. The tech came out again and diagnosed the issue. The issue was behind the back pane in the fridge, everything was frozen over hence the dripping into the the fridge. When this freezing happens it also freezes the thermostat so the fridge temperature will sit at around 12 - 15 degrees despite the number on the door saying 3 degrees, as a result of this your food will perish and become unsafe to eat. To cut this long story short we have been through the freezing issue 3 times since having the fridge and all of the major parts have been replaced. Currently the fridge is leaking again however Hisense did give us a full refund and we have a new fridge of a different brand arriving on Thursday. I will say though that during these past 11 months Hisense have been great in dealing with our issues (except for 1 time). The 3rd party technicians were also great although they had never faced these issues before. In short, the fridge is a lemon and we won't be buying Hisense products again.

replacement fridge. This time one of the shelves in this fridge had a crack in it. So we contacted hisense and they sent out a replacement shelf which was the wrong shelf. We did this a few times before giving up and ending up with our garage filling up with fridge shelf parts. They couldn't understand which shelf we were talking about. Fast forward to just over 3 years and the compressor has died. We've returned the fridge and buying another brand.

I love this fridge. I need a new one with more space and it’s got lots of it. I have no idea how I coped without it – Everything stays cold. Everything stays frozen and you can blast freeze. replacement. I was told that because of COVID, we would have to leave the old fridge outside and they will leave the new fridge outside. Somehow, I am supposed to move two 150kg fridges by myself, and then pay for it to be installed again, despite paying for that at the time of the initial purchase. This is apparently because no-one is allowed to enter dwellings because of COVID, yet the technician was somehow allowed to.
I tried to speak to a manager, was told that none were available and I would have to send an email. I asked the customer representative to have a manager contact me, was told that's impossible and for some reason the onus is on me to chase up a manager. Terrible service, they are refusing to make me whole after their faulty product caused significant damage.

Good Fridge, damn near impossible to get replacement water filter cartridges – Great Fridge so far however I cant get the replacement water filter cartridges from Harvey Norman or the Good Guys, and the support number on the fridge doesn't work it just goes to some random unattended office. Bit of a shame really because it shouldn't be this difficult to get replacement water filters. The one that Harvey Norman did supply doesn't fit into the cartridge holder because its too fat.
