Lowe's for much cheaper as I was told that the ones sold through Deer reps are manufactured to higher standards.
I bought my X300 back in 2017 and I have since paid almost double in repair costs as I did for the actual tractor. It has thrown 6 belts, the seat is split in half (not repaired), the clutch failed and now the steering mechanism has failed. My lawn is only 3/4 of an acre.
I will never buy a John Deere product again.

that with a Briggs off a repair shop shelf, works great but now the body is rusting. Bubbles everywhere on anything green. Just junk. It works ok but nothing like the little Ford it replaced. 18 years old and body of it was still solid but paint had faded. Everyone wants a JD, what the hell for?
Picked up one of these a few months ago and it makes the yard much easier to maintain especially if you have a large yard. Highly recommend. Show details
Left a part out of the diff that caused it to lock up – After 117hours but out of warranty was bent over to the tune of $1200 to fit the part and after calling customer service to complain was basically told to get stuffed buy the guy that didn’t speak fluent English. Show details
