The extra you pay more than makes up in quality – I did a wee Reno of a play boat in a park recently that had been painted with a white 3 in 1 by the D people. I hate those cheap products as they… Read more

create expense And waste more time by needing to repaint as they just don’t perform or look good.

This was no different. The dirt stains from the sea breeze and sand wasn’t budging with sugar soap scrubbing and a gurney. I used Ironstone (I think the name is) dark charcoal. Just using this paint is so easy it glides on, no clagging in the brush, didn’t need to wash my brush all day working outside in the heat and changing conditions. The first coat could of been enough, yet due to it being a kids play equipment, I added an extra for durability. I was amazed at how fast it dried compared to other brands. The sheen was just right that it would repel dirt yet not look too glossy. Dark colours I’ve always found to be a pain to work with in the past. The base opacity has to be a good quality combination of materials for coverage over white and 2-3 coats are usual. I’ll never use any other brand after this experience low odour, ease of use is helpful on my body. Very chuffed with the results.

BETTER THAN ENDURE – Coverage is tops. After 20 years of professional painting, this is easily the best exterior paint. Resene paint weathers MUCH better than the others.… Read more

The secret is their tint. Since their tint is similar to automotive tints, I now buy Resene for its anti-fade properties. Even traditionally smelly oil undercoats are less odoursome.

Water Blasted fence and waited for fence to be thoroughly dry – Painted one coat but noticed some scrape marks from the gate, cats & birds. Did a second coat. Rented the property for 1 year. & have returned to… Read more

find peeling paint! If I could do it all over again knowing what I know now I would have NEVER purchased this product! Avoid at all costs! Not worth the money! What annoys me is they recommended this paint as the best paint for fences! Smells nice though. I have receipts if required! Purchased from Resene Masterton Store NZ

Makes a painful job excruciating! – I'll be up front...I hate painting! But I was 'Sold' this as the best, No1, - low sheen, no VOC paint; they just forgot to tell me it was a pain in… Read more

the back to use!

I'm no expert painter, but I have done my fair share of painting but I think it would be easier painting with glue. I used the best rollers (two different types), I painted at different times of the day (Morn, daytime, early evening), I tried laying off a wall at a time and three tracks wide...it made no frickin difference. Basically the most expensive paint on the market - It's RUBBISH.

Save your money...Going back to Taubmans / wattyl, which we used the first time to paint the house 10yrs ago.

on it.Do not buy this rubbish,by a paint that has some quality control and have a customer service team who understand what they are for. Would have given them a negative star if possible.Buyer be warned.

Resene paint rubbish – Asked for Dulux paint but painters used this rubbish. Paint has a sparkle in it. Resene rep can't explain why, his answer "get a rag and rub it off"… Read more

shop answer to us asking what is wrong with paint

"head office said to say not to comment" cannot rub off any marks. Will never use Resene again. Have hunted for answers and found that out of the 10 paint firms I rang, 7 have changed from Resene to Dulux or British paints due to continued issues with Resene paints. Karmah huh.
