Fantastic! Very happy with this – Fantastic! Very happy with this. Went from gas to induction and aside from having to change some of my pots and pans, this induction cooktop is equal or better than gas. Love it!

Poor quality of product. ‘Overheats’ with error E5 on left hob constantly at even 800w and the ceramic plate itself is nowhere near hot. Using all… Read more

good quality induction cookware. Must be an overly sensitive safety cutoff. Contacted Westinghouse who seemed disinterested. Returned to store for a refund.

Purchased an ikea portable hob and have had no issues which confirmed for me that it wasn’t anything I was doing wrong.

Also, despite the brand name being Westinghouse, this is imported by a distribution company and is not all that closely related to Australian made Westinghouse products. It’s basically a rebranded generic product which is reflected in its poor quality and performance.

The cooking is great. The hob2hood function is the dumbest idea ever. This turns on/off and adjusts speed of the matching rangehood exhaust fan based… Read more

on the temp of the cooktop. According to the manual:

"compatible rangehoods work seamlessly with your induction or ceramic cooktop to clear your kitchen of cooking smells and steam. As you start cooking, the rangehood will automatically turn on then intuitively adjust the fan speed and airflow to match your cooking. How's that for hands-free convenience?"

How is it? Horrible. Constantly changing fan speed when not required. You can empty your pots after finishing cooking, turn rangehood off, put pots back, and it turns fan on again because it's still hot on the cooktop. No steam or fumes anymore, but Westinghouse knows best.

Recommend not getting a matching rangehood.

Have had 2 of these units. After having had both European (Miele) and Westinghouse, the quality and features are the same however the WH is less than half the price of the Miele. It's a no brainer ! Show details

Good Appliance but My stars didn't align with the dreadful Westinghouse customer service person! – Purchased this product from Harvey Norman, was told the cut-out was EXACTLY the same as the gas cooker it was to replace (Fisher and Paykel CG603… Read more

Series) and on paper they both are the exactly the same 560w x 490 d. I'd checked the gas was disconnected safely, called an electrician, made a day/time to fit this off. When the sparkie said 'I can't fit this as these two black screws stick out an extra 5mm, so I'll have to angle grind your bench to make it fit and it may break '. I knew I was in trouble. Shown the two black screws tried to call to find out what to do but didn't get through quickly enough so gave up (paying a tradie an hourly rate), allowed sparkie to do his thing he seemed certain. When I returned to Harvey Norman the sales lady I'd dealt with was most surprised to learn of the issue. She showed me how easily the display model sat into the same size cut-out, there was nothing that obstructed the insertion. The instruction booklet was little help, as the screws are not shown on there at all (why give a diagram that doesn't represent what you are actually installing in full I asked the man from Westinghouse customer service what those screws were in the position for and why didn't they show up anywhere on the booklet? He told me this is a booklet not just for that model but 6 models so they can't all be shown, he said the screws hold it together and the extra amount they stick out would have been calculated into the size of the cut-out...not helpful and not so at all (nor was his attitude) I have to say, he did not care to hear any of my issues. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told one would ring me back in the afternoon second day, I still haven't had that call back Lol. The appliance itself (having paid the extra money, suffered the inconvenience and cleaned the mess up) is performing well enough to make me happy for now. It's been working around 9 days now an I'm happier than I thought I would be as I had loved the gas but this is very fast to heat, looks good and now that I've got the hang of it there's little difference, luckily even my existing pots work with the induction but after this I'll never buy Westinghouse again (thought it was a mistake, I'd heard bad things about them before but now know for myself :).

Terrible performance and equally terrible 'customer support' – Terrible performance and equally terrible 'customer support'. Firstly, this cooktop doesn't output anywhere near its rating of 7400W. If you use the… Read more

power boost on any of the elements, power management will kick in and it will basically limit power delivered to all other elements. The manual mentions power management but it doesn't explain in any technical detail how it works or what the power limit is for each zone. The stated power specifications in the manual are nowhere near accurate either. The centre element is supposed to push 3600W in boost mode but I measured a measly 2000W.

I tried calling Westinghouse and their customer support people are absolutely useless. I was hung up on 3 times before I could even ask my question and when I did get through to speak with someone, they had zero technical knowledge of the product and said that they don't have anyone there who can provide technical support and palmed me off to a local repair centre who couldn't answer my question either (which is expected since they don't manufacture the product and I wouldn't expect them to know). How can you manufacturer a product and not provide technical support to customers? I'll never buy another Westinghouse/Electrolux product ever again.
