Despite it being "cooling", they actually made things worse when fitted underneath the bedsheet. The exact opposite of what’s advertised.

Checked reviews here and seen at least a few others reporting the exact same issue, so this clearly isn’t just me.

When I contacted Ecosa support, the response was extremely disappointing. Instead of acknowledging a potential product issue, they blamed everything else: the weather, the room temperature, and my environment, even when I told them I had my air conditioning on.

UPDATE: After speaking with Ecosa support again, they insisted the overlay should not be used under a sheet: "The cooling surface needs to be in direct contact with your body to activate the cooling effect. When it’s covered, heat can get trapped instead of being dispersed, which can make it feel warmer rather than cooler. We recommend placing the cooling overlay directly on top of the mattress or pillow, with no sheet or pillowcase over it, and then using it that way to see the difference, as it was advertised like that."

However, their own FAQ for the Ecosa Cooling Mattress Overlay suggests otherwise. Once I pointed this out to their support team, they approved the return and processed the refund, which indicated a lack of clarity in their own product guidance.
