Love this. I am a hot sleeper but no problems now I have the cooling underlay. As an improvement I would make the straps longer to tuck under the mattress better. I have just ordered the cooling pillows to go with it! Show details ·  1

The cooling material works as advertised — noticeably cool to the touch. Unlike the pillow overlay, the attachment system here is solid, keeping the overlay firmly in place overnight without any shifting. I bought three Ecosa Cooling Mattress Overlays hoping they would make the hot nights more bearable, but they’ve been a complete disappointment. When I contacted Ecosa support, the response was extremely disappointing. Instead of acknowledging a potential product issue, they blamed everything else: the weather, the room temperature, and my environment, even when I told them I had my air conditioning on.

UPDATE: After speaking with Ecosa support again, they insisted the overlay should not be used under a sheet: "The cooling surface needs to be in direct contact with your body to activate the cooling effect. When it’s covered, heat can get trapped instead of being dispersed, which can make it feel warmer rather than cooler. We recommend placing the cooling overlay directly on top of the mattress or pillow, with no sheet or pillowcase over it, and then using it that way to see the difference, as it was advertised like that."

However, their own FAQ for the Ecosa Cooling Mattress Overlay suggests otherwise. Once I pointed this out to their support team, they approved the return and processed the refund, which indicated a lack of clarity in their own product guidance.

Don’t bother. This material needs to be touching your body to be cooling you down. It is how the material works. Underneath the fitted sheet it doesn’t have any effect. In fact I found the opposite. It trapped the heat and left me feeling quite hot. They WILL NOT REFUND YOU this item - it is NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE 100 day trial.

We are happy with the cooling mattress overlay however being a hot sleeper I’m not so sure if I noticed that much difference but we are happy using it anyway as a mattress protector. However I have one suggestion is that the coverage over top of the mattress is minimal and they could be a bit more generous in its size so it can cover a king size mattress a little bit better and to allow for general ware and shrinkage in washing and drying. Show details

Good product and large elastic straps had no problem pulling them over the corners of my extra thick mattress. Has cooled my bed nicely, not a lot but has made just the difference I needed. Show details ·  1

Recently purchased the cooling mattress overlay to help with over heating as my mattress has a latex blend which can make you hot. I love how the Ecosa Cooling Mattress overlay is cool to touch but it doesn’t really keep me cooler than the protector I was previously using. It’s also very thin so my sheets didn’t fit as well so I had put the new overlay over my existing mattress protector. Show details ·  1

We’ve been using the Cooling Mattress Overlay for a little while now and overall we’re happy with it. It definitely helps regulate temperature and feels noticeably cooler when you first get into bed. both, it performs better with thinner/less plush sheets where you can feel the cooling effect more directly. We’ve also found it pairs better with a firmer mattress — on a softer/plusher mattress the effect isn’t quite as noticeable. Overall, a solid product that does what it says, just worth considering your mattress and sheet combination to get the best result.

Does exactly what it says. Our mattress was heating up very fast and we were desperate. Bought the Ecosa Cooling Mattress Overlay and we can feel the difference. We bodies aren’t overheating where they’re touching the bottom sheet. The reason for 4 stars is that the elastic on the corners can slip off easily if you have a deep mattress. Show details ·  1
