Needs to be taken off shelves – Applied this to my 2 year Olds face and looks like 2nd degree burn. I'm really not happy , doesn't protect from sun at all. Would have been better off not wearing sunscreen at all. Show details

skin, and it felt just like a good moisturiser. I need to wear sunscreen every day so it was perfect for me. However a year or so ago, they changed the packaging, and introduced a 400g pump pack, and then eventually changed the smaller squeeze bottle. I found the new stuff to be greasy, oilier, thinner, and if I use it on my face, I get acne (ditto my hubby), and sand/soil stuck to my skin.
Having several of the old bottles left, I compared ingredients, and they are different. The old ones were made in Canada, the new in Australia. How Banana Boat thinks they can get away with claiming the new stuff to be non-greasy is beyond me, the new formula is just awful. Will have to start looking for a new suncreen soon, I only have 3 bottles of the old left!

it once and took it back to the place of purchase for refund. Coles was initially reluctant to reimburse until I politely stated “the product does not do what it’s supposed to, I’m entitled to a refund”. I tried to post feedback on BBs website and there was no functionality to describe the feedback. In the interest of safety I recommend not using this product. Especially on kids and those with fair sensitive skin.

UV absorbers actually damage your skin, so I set out to find a purely mineral sunscreen. I've tried brands like Wotnot and Soleo, and they are very good brands, but SO expensive. Finding this lovely, clean sunscreen by Banana Boat at less than half price at our local Coles was brilliant !
I apply this to the whole family, before we go to the beach; my husband wears it when he goes on his bike rides; and any time we're going out I slather it on. It does a brilliant job of keeping the sun off, so I can't really understand the review above, unless maybe they didn't put enough on ? I don't worry about it being white, or ghosting, I just slap it on thickly, so maybe that's the difference ? I also reapply after an hour or so at the beach, but not if we're not going to get wet.....
Anyway, HIGHLY recommended for sensitive skin and if you want to avoid chemical UV absorbers while not breaking the wallet :) Inexpensive, no UV absorbers, does not set off our sensitive skin, available at big supermarkets
