giving 2 contradictory options for id. I could go to local post office to verify id. They did. Stuncorp did say they would send it to them. APO does not. SO I asked to send it email... this is 15 phone calls later. They then said I had to go to the STORE their word for a bank...in Grenfell st... had to walk, bus, walk bus in. Doctor said limit your steps as need more surgery. So they made me waste time with PO visit to then reject it. Never had to deal with clowns like they have in this STORE. Fraud people ring up to say you have to go in as I was not a fraudster... gee thanks trying to invest money never been harder. Uk compensate, paying you for their mistakes with customer service... result is better banking and customer service. Here you are treated like crap. However my credit union will get a 5 star review as they know what is smooth, simple, stress free. And a nice term deposit for a win win. 297 negative reviews. oh 298 now for shocking management and training.
November 11th 2019 Update: Perfect if Suncorp did not exist
Suncorp has many negative reviews. Too many cooks spoiling a foul broth of incompetence and zero customer service. Money going into term deposit....too hard if you make a simple request. Too hard if you want to put money into a new account. Too hard if you are disabled.
Since then 3 survey requests 3 feedbacks email phone email and these incompetents do not talk to each other....!!!! Do these reviews improve do you think? Would you look forward to an imbecile sending you a survey when he did not speak to all the other face saving, time wasting, damage control departments? Suncorp missed out on a wedge of money.... and invite negative reviews this is 4 times already... Some people should not manage a bank.....have seen more brains in a bunch of grapes....

and you don't have to speak with anybody. Speaking to a live person at any Bank these days is a totally unrewarding experience. In recent times however there has been a number of requests to supply information such as as where did you get your money from, and how much money will you be saving with us over the next 12 months. They use the excuse that they must do this to comply with the Money laundering and Anti Terrorism act. This is total fabrication and they are only seeking personal information because they are a subsidiary of a Dutch Bank which likes prying into its customer's affairs. If it's good enough for the Dutch then it's good enough for the Aussies tomm cop it in the neck.
Having said that I do find that doing transactions on line works quite well and I have no issues with the Digipass security that they use. This is old technology but it works. You normally don't fix something unless it is broken. Alas, that is exactly what is happening. Rabobank have advised that hey will be scrapping the Digipass, later this year, and you will be forced to used the Rabobank App. We operate two accounts with RB. One in joint personal names and one for our SMSF. It seems that you can load one account only on to the App so I have no idea what we do with the second account. Approaches to RB is like being inside the Maxwell Smart cone of silence. The silence is deafening. I have decided that enough is enough. As our term deposits mature we shall close them off and invest the funds elsewhere. It's a shame that it has come to this, but one does get tired of being asked the same questions over and over again. It is like a Court of Law whereby they keep asking the same question hoping that you will purge yourself. It's been nice knowing you RB but as the Walrus said to the Carpenter, the time has come.

documents to close the term deposit. The staff left us sitting for quite some time and then took my mum into a closed office. After what seemed to be an eternity I walked into the office and said that we had an appointment in 10 mins. The bank manger had by that time had tried to convince my mum to roll over the term deposit. Both the staff members were patron ising and told me the "legal team" had revoked my Enduring Power of Attorney.for my mum who is 88 years old. The end result was mum and I walking out. Nothing resolved and the term deposit will roll.over for another 6 months.

for 3 months terms. My most recent Term Deposit matured just a few days after having delicate Nasal surgery with a hospital stay and all the usual expenses - ENT Surgeon, Anesthetist, Hospital Costs, MRI, Medications, etc, etc. Even though I have requested multiple times for my banking mail to go to our family PO Box, we discover a reminder letter in our home letter box about the Term Deposit maturing 2 days after the grace period for either re-investing or taking the money out. This all happened while I was recovering at home for nearly 2 weeks after the surgery. So I go into the bank and speak to the person I have been dealing with and the answer is , "it takes 31 days to do a Term Deposit Break" and get the money out. Then I ring ANZ and are told to email the ANZ Hardship Team. I send them an email straight away and get a generic response that, "they will consider my request and I will get the answer in 3-5 business days." That time ended 7 days ago and no "human" replies to 2 emails I sent. Only the generic, "I will get the answer in 3-5 business days". This is my own humble opinion (based on hard experience) - If you are doing great ANZ, "are here to help" If you are in trouble or having hardship. EXPECT A GENERIC EMAIL RESPONSE FROM ANZ! OR NO ANSWER....

which I attempted to lodge at the Hastings branch for him. The form is quite clear in that it says it needs to be lodged only. However, after a 20 minute wait in a queue I was told no way. We need to see your Dad with his ID. I explained he had been hospitalized and sick and was not fit to travel nor stand in a queue and I was advised that the branch does have chairs. How kind. Perhaps they have ambulances too. I was told that there is no other solution and to be on my way and that they would not process the redemption. They then locked that account and sent letters to it that cannot be accessed. I assume they are thinking I am stealing his money. However, if they would bother to look, they can see the redemption request dictates that the money goes to an account in his name. I have proceeded with complaints to NAB that have all been ignored, and am now with AFCA and no response there yet either. They have a month to respond before AFCA will do anything. Perhaps we need to engage a solicitor. So my message is this, if you can afford to wait more than a month for your money, and want to be treated like a criminal for helping your parent, then NAB is the bank for you.
