We had a bad experience with this company. Once I saw what they actually did to the shower I realized we paid too much for what we got. Secondly, they did not fix the leak. leaking and that it was the drain. That cost us a service fee. I ifinally got her to send her crew to honour the warranty. if the issue was on them there was to be no fee to us. I wasn’t there when they came and they collected $220.00 from my son but still did not fix the leak. Their 25 year warranty is worthless. We have since had to hire another company to do what 1st maintenance was suppose to do for us. Since then I have been after them to at least refund the $220.00 and we’ll write off the $1200.00 but so far she’s ignored my emails. My recommendation is to stay away, far, far away from this company.

I employed 1 Choice for a second time to reseal my shower at my rental property. months later. I then contacted 1st Choice and I spoke with [Name Removed] who was dismissive and told me to write a review. Instead of acknowledging that they should have noted on the invoice that a leak was still present she said they spoke to me. I confirmed this was not true. Then she said they left me a voicemail. Which was also not true. Considering the reason for them attending was for leak. I should have been informed in writing the leaking was not resolved. Wouldn't be using again and do not recommend. I will be speaking to fair trading regarding this matter.
I had 1 choice repair my rentals leaking shower and they did a fantastic job. The shower looks as good as new and the leaking has stopped! very professional team that answered all my question and attended and did the repair on time. Thank you again

The issue was resolved quickly and efficiently, and they left everything clean and tidy. It's such a relief to have a tradesman you can trust – I’ll definitely be using them again!
Avoid this company – I have contracted numerous trades over the years, and this has been by far my most disappointing trade experience ever. We employed 1ChoiceBuilding to reseal, regrout and fix some travertine broken tiles in a large bathroom, and regrout an ensuite. to reputable tradespeople about the time frame, and have been told that four hours is far too quick for a job like this, particularly as the sealant needs time to dry. There was a lot of pressure from the men to pay on the day, even though I couldn't enter the bathroom to view the quality of the work as the sealant was still drying. After the sealant had dried, and when I finally was able to go into the bathroom, I noticed that they didn't clean the mould properly, and as a result, it is still visible and growing underneath the new sealant. The tradesmen had little ability to repair our cracked tiles. I was told that these would be repaired so that they would "not be noticeable". However, they couldn't even fill in the cracks well enough so that the cracks were at least level with the rest of the tile. And the cracks are still VERY noticeable. They also didn't install the silicone properly where the floor meets the wall, and is it already lifting off. I complained numerous times about the cracked tiles, silicone, and mould, only to be given various excuses such as they had Covid and that would contact me later. However, they never did. In the end, I escalated the matter to the Dept of Fair Trading, and only then did the company finally agree to send someone to replace the silicone, but wouldn't do anything about the cracked tiles, or the mould. Most importantly, they are not who they say they are. They are NOT MEMBERS OF THE MBA, which is what they advertise on their website in an attempt to give themselves a more credible image. One of the reasons that I chose this company was because I thought that they were members. I didn't do this and am very much regretting it. I am now having to employ another tradesperson to redo their shoddy work.
Bad workmanship – Had the tradesman from this business come & do work on my bathroom & it has been left in an unusable state due to very bad workmanship.I was also charged for work that was not done & lied to about the warranty which they will not stand by.I would not recommend this tradesman & his business partner (wife) as they are not in my opinion honest nor trustworthy.
