Reliable, affordable – I have dualis +2 for almost 6months. Yes it’s absolutely reliable yeah it uses a bit more fuel for its size apart from that every thing is flows like butter with this. Interior is basic but have everything I want. Presently enjoying with what it is.... happy buying dualis +2.  Show details

Great people mover – My family bought this car for a few reasons: * Our family size is five. * We want something spacious. * We occasionally need to give someone else a lift. * I sometimes need to carry big stuff. After doing some research, we found out that Nissan Dualis +2 was the most economical people mover to run. The cruise control is OK, although,… Read more

Great reliable and fuss free – Bought a 2013 model TI-L with the 7 seats, because I love having the extra room in the boot which is handy for my job as I often need to take a wheelchair with me. The SAT Navigation has never missed a beat nor got me lost which is more than I can say for Google Maps which has got me lost a few occasions. The sequential gear system has taken a… Read more

bit to get used to as it is a bit whiny and having changed from a 2.4ltr engine to a 2ltr engine I have noticed the loss of power in taking off but once your moving there is plenty of power even with the air conditioner running. Fuel economy is reasonably good and love that I know how many KM's left before a refill. Easy to park and the all-around cameras makes this even easier still. Cosmetically it is a great looking mid-sized SUV with the black glass roof adding class. Mine is the Pearl White which makes the black glass roof stand out more and the fact that it has the full-length Moon Roof is an added bonus. Fold in mirrors makes it less likely to be hit by other vehicles in the smaller car parks, and automatic wipers and headlights just make life so much easier. If I had to find fault it would be the lack of storage nooks in the front. As a girl whose car is her office most days, I really miss all the nooks for placing items in for easy reach. Overall this is a great car for business and the family and the +2 means there is always room for any extras or just for the added boot space which I find lacking in so many of the mid-sized SUV's these days

3yrs with our dualis+2 Ti AWD – 3 yrs going strong, pleasure to drive, feels safe and is safe, clever AWD grabs slippery roads and dusty fire trails very nicely, glad to have replaced our 12L/100km V6 sedan with this suv. Have really appreciated the 7 seat capability and extra versatility for ikea transport and even camping-sleeping with a double airbed in the back with seats… Read more

folded down; even though the dualis+2 is only 20cm longer than the std dualis, and identical in length to most other 5 seater 2L suvs and hatchbacks. The dualis+2 seems to be the most parkable and fuel efficient 7 seater we've come across to date, well suited for narrow inner city use but still suitably capable for escapes to the country & coast.

Now have no doubt that lack of familiarity with the nissan dualis' cvt is leading people to a perception of lack of power and also leading to higher fuel consumption than necessary. Having had a close look, the british build quality appears better than the korean kia sportage but doesn't seem quite as polished as subuaru xv's japanese interior finish, but the better value spare parts and local nissan servicing seems a lot more sensible/cost effective than subaru's. The noise suppression levels for subaru xv are best, while dualis and sportage are similar to each-other. The long-term (incl for 2nd hand vehicle assessment) functional build quality coming from uk nissan's plant & renault's dualis chassis has been independently rated as high if not higher than most other european vehicle builds (vw/bmw/volvo/ford/audi/porsche) from same era.

Compared to the subaru XV and kia sportage, even with sunroofs, the nissan dualis+2 Ti feels far less claustrophobic, partly due to the panoramic roof, but also the higher seating position, especially for both rear rows, which are each tiered, as in a stadium. This makes trips pleasant, even for those in the compact back row. Aircon achieves good lamellar flow to the 3rd row of seats. The practical sliding middle row seats accommodates quite well for leg room for those in the rear and there is sufficient ceiling clearance in the 3rd row for most adults.

My folks have an equivalent year release subaru XV which also has a cvt and 2.0L engine but geared for far more sensitivity. Both driven in inner city region on premium fuel, XV sits on 9.5-10L/100km consumption (though spec'd for 7L/100km) while our dualis+2 on premium fuel consistently sits on 7.1-7.5L/100km. On a drive through to the great australian bite in the dualis+2 from sydney with 4 adults + luggage, my father found the transmission very different to the XV's initially, but once used to it, and the accelerator pedal's "rest point" (not mentioned in the manual) said it had very good pull. The city consumption level in the 7s would creep up to 8.5 on hilly freeways with the full load and overtaking on steep straights. At no stage did feel we needed any more power than could be offered from the naturally aspirated 2L petrol. Overtaking in right lane with full load on inclined freeway the revs would comfortably reach 5800 but could still give more. For context, both I and my father have previously owned v6 sedans where we would rev up to 5000 in similar overtaking conditions.

Owing to the cvt being tuned for economy and longevity, the dualis+2 AWD Ti doesn't initially feel as zippy as the XV, but it certainly has more than enough pull to get it around smartly and safely in the city or for escaping from the city.

Very poor build quality, shocking fuel economy – This is our 4th new car and I am shocked at the quality of this car. The carpets and linings are extremely thin and scarce. I would suggest having a look at the foot well, under the seats and under most trimmings and you will see what I am talking about. My carpet started curling up at the edges after 2000km. Exposed wires under the seats and a… Read more

general lack of polish where not required is unexpected and disappointing.

All of the above is nothing compared to the absolutely abysmal performance associated with the MR20DE engine. In the non +2 models, the MR20DE engine is underpowered, in the +2, it is a joke. Together with the rubbish CVT transmission it delivers poor performance and even worse fuel economy. Feathering the throttle, coasting where possible and using cruise control results in 12L/100Km in City driving (school run). Driving it normally would result in 13-15L/100Km. To top it off, the engine requires 95 octane as a minimum so you end up paying considerably more at the pump in the long run.

This car obviously needs the diesel engine offered in the UK and other markets. the 2.0L petrol just doesn't cut it, especially with a full load where the car feels hopelessly underpowered. After 10,000Km, I was hoping the engine would loosen up a bit but its just as pathetic as the day I drove out of the showroom. Note, this is the latest series (3). 7 seats, price Build Quality, Fuel economy, performance, Bluetooth

Perfect car for occasional 7 seat use with young family – I went from a V6 to the duallis and really noticed the difference. The lag in the CVT I find could be very dangerous. counterparts. I bought this car brand new and have no intention of selling it. I would highly recommend this car. Three of my friends bought a Dualis each, and they all love them too. The boot space is huge with all the seats down, I have transported cabinets, bikes, and big items. Probably the only negative I could find is the 6th & 7th seat in the third row are pretty ordinary. I have 2 kids & hubby, so the kids only sit in the third row when we have other adults in the car. It is a little squeezey back there. Great, comfortable, extremely reliable. I love it.

and are reasonably comfortable and well ventilated even for adults. While being no longer than other 5 seater SUVs it's easy to park, the extra length of the +2 with flat folded down rear seats makes it a truly versatile utility vehicle - e.g. carrying full length IKEA cupboards, sofas, and moving. Being elevated and with the wheelbase of a standard 5 seater it's a lot more fun to drive, park and fuel than a people mover or station wagon.

only reason why it did not get a perfect rating was that the CVT gearbox can be a little noisy however despite this I never had a problem with it. Perfect with two adults and small kids.

I love this car! – We purchased the +2 T-iL model and have been very happy. Boot space is large and can fit a pram and shopping, leather seats with front two heated, sun roof etc. Good fuel economy. So far so good – Have had the new Dualis +2 ST for nearly 2 months, and am very happy with it. Also I am assuming/hoping mechanically we can… Read more

be confident of Nissan quality whatever country of manufacture. Agree with some other reviews about some of the internal plastics and do wonder what the internal condition will be like years down the track.

It is really great to drive, nice handling, very quiet and smooth and more than enough power. The CVT gearbox does take a bit to get used to, also the slight resistance in the accelerator which most CVTs seem to have (drove the Maxda CX5 with CVT and that resistance was much greater and annoying).

The now standard reverse camera and sat nav are really handy. Have not had much experience with sat nav but this one seems very good. Bluetooth is loud and clear. Comfortable seats and good leg room in back.

Probably the best value 7 seater around. However it is a small seven seater particularly in width. Also a couple extra inches in roofline height for front passengers would be nice. As with nearly all 7 seaters I do worry about the closeness of the rear seats to the back of the car, but we only plan to use them infrequently. Note there are no child restraint anchor points for the rear seats.

I am getting about 9.5L/100Km around the city, thought it might get better than that so hopefully it will improve as the engine runs in more (this may be a fallacy?). However this is better than most other 7 seaters including the diesels (my friends petrol Kluger and Territory averages 14-15l/100km!). In the country the consumption quickly drops to low 8's and less. great to drive, smooth and quiet Some interior plastics/fittings could be better quality, roofline for front passengers could be higher
