Hinge Girl crypto scam – Absolute scam, froze all my assests that I had invested as I was 'inactive' for 3 days and will only unfreeze my assets if I upgrade my account to the cost of $1000. What a joke.

Active Traders - scam scam scam – Like every other review here, I paid the 5k upfront and then invested 20k and then watched the brokerage drain it away, I pulled the pin when I had 12k remaining from my initial 25k investment. as it was all part of a bigger share portfolio the loss was absorbed by my other holdings, its a valuable lesson for me, every other similar… Read more

business that has phoned me since get's the "Active Traders" treatment .. AVOID them all!! Buy a book on Warren Buffet and Value Investing if you're looking at shares. Active Traders are a joke.

Block their calls - Negligent sharks – Hi All, I was pursued for three years after my initial contact with these guys. I had started trading myself but found it too time consuming. I thought there must be someone out there who were aggressive, had a reasonable track record, time and interest and could trade on my behalf - in exchange for a performance fee. After some convincing, I… Read more

signed up. Set up a Halifax account, watched their trades for a month or so, then turned away for six months. In this time, a quarter of my initial investment was gone. I hadn't chosen a highly aggressive strategy - middle of the road in fact. On calling to say what happened, haven't you guys been watching your own trades, I was told that my account manager had left. And then worse the account manager I spoke to said "I can't tell you why it's lost value. I know other people who have made money". Astute eh?

I then called Halifax to half all of their trades. They did this over a carefully planned period of weeks - you know - timing the market, actively. They then said to me, what are these guys (Active Traders) doing. They were investing OS when all it was doing was bombing and Australia was doing extremely well.

Block their calls - get your money out of their negligent mitts.

Absolutely correct reviews here - how is this firm not investigated? – Basically conned me into a 3 year investing program with them for 5k. Then lost another 2k with the only winners being the brokers fees and them with their 5k. Terrible broker service with all sorts of errors in amounts of trade. When their incompetent broking firm Aliom was dropped and another brought on board I realised something was fishy. … Read more

When I looked at removing my funds I was 'given' a lifetime upgrade to my 3yr program. Lot of use that was. I wrote this email in Oct 2014 but have not heard back nor managed to have any further contact. I have called the Financial Ombudsman - more incompetent than you can imagine and really just not interested. What a disgrace - no rules, no consequences. But I bet they get plenty of funding. Why wouldn't these firms take advantage???

Here's the email I sent:

Hi [Name remove] hope you are well. After realising I cannot recoup my initial 5k fee unless I invest very large amounts and subsequently putting off dealing with the issue for some time I now realise I will not use your services again. Can you please advise how I can cancel my trading advice plan and get a refund. I believe the advice offered to me at the outset by the initial salesperson regarding what benefits I would gain from the plan was not accurate and therefore led me to believe that I could expect to easily recoup my initial investment and bolster my super fund without having to commit large amounts of capital.

The trading fees and the complicated trading amounts which had to be settled upon each few months served to put me off and it basically just seemed that I was losing any profits I made in the trading to broker fees due to dealing in smaller trade amounts.

The errors made in confirming the larger trading amounts and then the breakdown in being able to trade that came when the initial broker company was dropped just meant that the whole thing proved too suspicious and for want of a better word 'dodgy' for me and I subsequently removed my funds to wait to see what would happen.

At this point I am thinking that I do not feel comfortable using your services anymore hence this email.

Please contact me to advise what can be done.

A Fool for being Conned – It appears that Active Traders are out of the same company of Australian Shareholder Centre Pty Limited? If this is so, it appears that they just keep changing their name and finding another set of suckers and you can see the effects. As you can see there are some 33 "Product Reviews" under Australian Shareholders Centre all derogatory. … Read more

Australian Shareholders Centre are situated at 155 Varsity Parade Varsity Lakes to make the easy identification.

Just how can a company (in conjunction with Hallifax Stochbrokers) like this continue to rip of investors of their "hard earned".

It appears that many Aussie investors from Queensland, NSW, Victoria, S.A. and W.A. have all written in reports.

Where are the authorities that are supposed to look into these scams or are they just incompetent scoundrels who are looking for "an easy buck"

Sure, I am not happy as it has also cost me $4990 plus $7000 persuaded by their smooth-talking and plausible representative.

I implore every one out there in Australia that have been ripped off by these scoundrels to also write a "Product Review' to indicate how wide spread this rip-off is. .

Come the revolution – This is the ugly side of rampant unmonitored dog eat dog capitalism. Thousands $$ lost over four years of lying and pretentious financial management clap-trap. The brokers Halifax who were doing their trades ought to be examined also. There needs to be responsibility taken. The "only following orders" excuse just doesn't cut it.

We should get reimbursed for poor service, our money back. shocking service ripped off

Active traders.... no way – Having been a member for six months with a starting account balance of 10k I am yet to see any results other than more loosing trades. In the past month there have been maybe two trade recommendations despite decent stock market performance - is there anybody home there? This company uses Aliom to place their trades and I have had to call them… Read more

direct to cancel any further Forex trade recommendations by Active traders due to their appalling track record. If I had to guess I would say this company is on its last legs. Their daily morning report often isn't received...why? So not very active, expensive and no performance to speak of.....definitely avoid. Glossy website ideal for drawing in suckers like me. Expensive and has not performed to date for me.
