Advance Premium Dry Dog Food - Adult

Amazing for our dog! Since switching, we’ve noticed a big improvement in his overall health and his coat is firmer, shinier, and he’s full of energy. He loves the taste too!

Another I can rotate with – My girl has issues with pulses any and all, were talking rock hard tummy, lots of gas and she screams in pain a lot. So can’t feed grain free at all, in fact some of our grained foods have pulses which really sucks! You see a food that’s marketed as grains, than in the ingredients peas ahaha. Not helpful. with her main air dried meals and nothing else because everything I’ve wanted to try was either full of wheat and she reacts to that as well or has barley another reactor or full of pulses and there’s like virtually no choice here in Australia for her. Overseas there is plenty of choices, I wish we had more choices.

There is an insect food coming out without pulses, but who knows when that’ll get here and also she’s never liked any insect foods I’ve gotten in the past, like before I realised it was the pulses causing her issues. So probably won’t be added to the rotation.

Anyways because I got obsessed with that topic and couldn’t stop talking about it lol. The Advance she seems to love, does much better on it than the RC actually, her stomach upsets are like zero lately when she eats it. RC started out good, but than progressively got worse for her, no idea why either. Like I’d feed it to her when her stomach was upset and suddenly it didn’t work anymore and up until than it had worked. So I needed to find a new food and also she was getting bored of both the RC’s.

I’m nearly through the 800g bag and yeah will definitely buy the same size again because of how little of it is actually eaten, because as I said air dried is her main.

If at any point she starts not liking it or does poorly and I remember, I’ll come back and below my review I’ll add a note.

Dry food – This product was great, my dogs are hard to please when it comes to dry food so when they had not issues eating the salmon I was surprised. Great product will buy again Show details

Terrible, dogs refuse to eat any of it! – Dogs HATED this food and refuse to eat, even though I have tried offering nothing else, to see if they will get hungry and eventually eat it, NOPE they would rather starve apparently! Going back to dog foods that have a guarantee or money back Show details

Makes everyone want to vom – Used to buy this for the dogs. They liked it. New formulation - they hate it and will only eat it a bit when they are starving. Worse than that, the smell to humans is disgusting. Won't be buying it again. Show details

Huge health and coat improvement since switching – My girl was having issues with another brand and we switched to advance about 4 months ago. I am impressed with the massive improvement to her coat and health. She poos less and eats less. She is healthy than before. The old food gave her the runs and horrible gas. No issues and all her puppies that have switched to advance have show good results. She’s a border collie.  Show details

Gave my dogs stinky diarrhea – Whilst my dogs liked eating the terrier kibble, it did bad things in their tummy I put the dogs on a different kibble & they were fine, 1 week later we tried the Advance Terrier & again diarrhea with all the dogs So we won't buy anymore Advance foods Show details

Our baby is healthier eating these – Our GSD liked these, she's usually quite fussy, and she was less itchy than before we switched to this particular type of biscuit (we almost exclusively feed Advance though). She has mild dysplasia and it's always been well managed by this diet. I would just like to see less carbohydrates in the formula, I don't want to go grain free, I just want the meat content to be high. Show details

Did not suit my dog - hair dropped horribly – Although my dog seemed to like the taste, his hair dropped so bad that I was worried he would go bald at this rate. While on proplan his coat was shiny and hardly shed, within a week of shifting to Advance I noticed excessive hair fall. Pet. Circle was very supportive and gave a full refund so I shifted him back to proplan and within a week the hair fall stopped and in 2 weeks his coat is full and shiny again. Show details

Contaminated batch, terrible investigation, never examined the food. Push back. Not just – My dog ‘golden retriever’ got sick and ended at vet. Directly related to the food. Vet showed an article and recommended to stay away from this brand. I took the food to pet barn and was placed for test. Called advance help line and took 4 months to investigate and blamed me at the end. They Never even tested the contaminated food and apparently… Read more

New packaging terrible not the same product – My wife who is blind purchased the new packaging product . She was told it was the same . However her dog has now had the scours for the past week . Checking the old packaging and comparing the new packaging I find the ingredients are a great deal different . A lot more fat content for starters . difficult it is for a blind person to pick up after her dog in this situation . I will be referring the matter to guide dogs and vision Australiafor further action .

We have changed from dermocare as the has is ill after 7 years on the biscuit has got ill and can’t – Found biscuit good but after dog has been ill and has only eaten dermocare which over the last 7 years has been great but still vomits and can’t swollow and hard food
