I have 2 of these units 60ltr's. I run one as a fridge and one as a freezer on my sailboat, both have been running now for 6 months without issue. 5 year warranty on these units. is common to cheaper units is the lid seal, its not the best out there, however the lid opens from both sides, thats handy. A lot of reviews here are not the newer units. Stayzcool are a step up from the normal kings units, hence the 5 year warranty. I find the more than satisfactory given the price, also, they seem to be modest in power consumption given.

We've have the fridge for almost 2 years without any issues, it's set to 2-4°C and performs consistently to keep drinks and food cold. Ours is the older version with the Secop compression, I understand from the reviews here and elsewhere that it doesn't perform well as a freezer due to small 1.4cc compressor having to work overtime but that's not a problem for our intended purpose. Show reply

Cannot complain about my Kings 15L fridge – Update to my review after purchase. Just returned from 2 weeks at Mt Howitt Vic where this fridge was pre chilled and had cold cans added, used only as my drinks fridge. At first was turned off over night as was cold but then left running 24/7 with voltage down to 12.9 lowest over night before solar kicked in. Drinks were always ice cold, I set indicator to 02 degrees which it maintained day and night. Show reply

Absolutely DIABOLICAL service from Kings 4wd supercentre! I emailed them on 14th April 2025 and sent a video of the error codes i kept getting the very first time I used my Console fridge. they cannot find the email I sent it in. Think they are hoping that I will give up if they keep sending me in circles here ... Prior to this they had told me that my case had been escalated ! quailty isssues with cigarete plug on dc power – There appears to be an issue with the supplied dc (cigarette lighter) plug is constantly disconnects from plug and no cooling as a result the plug id very cheap quality also the fridge - when it starts cooling at indicated 12.3 to 10.5 volts decides its an indicated error 1 and shuts off quality is an apparent issue I had a Waco before this and it just worked... enough said Show details

CHINESE JUNK – Absolute crap. You get what you pay for. Wont get below 7 degrees in 19 degrees ambient running flat out pulling 4.1 Amps constantly. 4th camping trip and it lets me down. CHINESE JUNK. Won’t be buying any “Kings” product again! Let’s all buy Aussie made and support our beautiful country and its people and avoid the headaches.

itself!!! We only used it two weeks before that for a 25hr trip and had no issues.

Well that was bad enough, that, that sucked, but we went into the Super centre in Toowoomba today, 7th October, only to get attitude from the "claims" person in charge of returns.

It took 3 people, 10mins to pull the whole thing apart to change the fuse. Seems like they're used to it eh!!! She also said its most likely just the fuse, it's a common fuse problem...we said we don't want the product then, especially if it's a known fault and one, that if we work on it, it would most likely void the warranty.

We would constantly be in the middle of no where when it would blow again, losing all our food only to have to go back to a super centre miles away to wait for them to go through the while thing again!!!

Is it just us or is it just a rediculas rigmarole to go through, especially since they know it's a FAULT with the product!!!

1.Fuses should be easily accessible to start with. 2.How bout rectify the known problem? 3. Give us our money back, it's still in warranty, we aren't happy with it!!

We left it with them, because she refused to refund it, we didn't want the useless product..what will we do with a product that can't be trusted????

We were also told it was just our opinion their products weren't up to scratch BUT it's fact when you have to keep taking them back or throwing them out!!!

We've also had two of the bigger, more expensive Kings Fridges fail, just out of warranty, that also had to be dumped. So where's the quality control that used to be there???

It's not the only expensive electrical equipment that's failed, we've had to either be replaced and or dumped. AND that's happend while we're camping last year and had to drive 5hrs, round trip.... twice in the one holiday!!!! Don't even get me started on the gazebos...

Yup we are filthy fed up with Kings products!

We have had to change brand to get quality products now and WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK, especially now we are given grief when we have to take their useless stuff back to them. P.s I will be leaving the same review on their store review too.

Sorry Kings, too many bad products coming through and we've lost hundreds of dollars if not over $1000...we've stopped counting.

after something cheaper, but if price isn’t a concern, get an Engel. They boast about the strong exterior of this product, yet the interior is weaker than the integrity of their brand, and I can see why other reviews have noted the cracks and holes developing overtime. On top of all that, the awkward door handle mechanism and the typical rookie electrician mistake of installing USB ports upside down is once again a laughingstock of the industry.

very happy so far so good – I purchased this fridge just for drinks in car based camping as i have excellent 3 way fridges for more wilderness expeditions. Inside house first test on 240V empty fridge showed the start temp accurate 19 on fridge to 20c on house gauge. 12 minutes to get down from 19 to 3c on LED, inside on my freezer gauge was 7c. cycling to reach 3c inside which I am happy with. Decided to set to max -18c and see. Total time from 3c approx hour of cycling to reach constant -18c before running time versus static time became less. This unit should do me well for drinks and in emergency step up. With small fridges empty is a hard test also putting in warm items and not pre cooling the fridge before use makes their job harder, few tips. Will update after I use it on a trip.

Not good – Bought to use as a freezer, however it does not freeze food so no good to me. Requested refund from 4WD supacentre as Victorian Consumer law states a refund must be made where product does not do what it is advertised to do. They refused to refund. Have submitted complaint to Consumer affairs Vic.

Don’t buy in Kings – Lousy. I will never buy from kings again. I bought the 40l fridge escape. After a trip to Fraser Island one of the inside walls ended up with a hole in it. fridge is not travel proof enough! I do not recommend it. Nor do I recommend Kings, their products are of poor quality, the customer service is terrible and the warranties are a lie.

Température drop – Hello, My fridge has negatives temperatures !! I set the temperature on 6 degrees as usual and since 2/3 days the temperature on the sensor is dropping until -4/-5 !! What should I do ?

One of very few problems with kings products – My 30L fridge has been running great but it is now coming up with F3 code, what does that mean? I can only find what F1 means not F3. Maybe it’s the extended usage it’s been on for about 12 days in a truck and car. Show details ·  3

Quality for a great price – Had the 50l AKFR-FR50L_W_01 2y, never had a problem, runs as a second fridge for drinks 24/7, also use it as a freezer when away,runs perfectly on 240v and 12 v. Holds temp no problems. Also have a 15l akfr-fr15l portable same deal,have it at work running at -1 all the time. Just bought a 20l adventure for the inside of the car. BAD DECISION BUYING KINGS FRIDGE 40 litre (It is absolute junk) and to review it (no actual option either – Used to have a brass monkey which would cool cans within 20 mins to one hour. power cord. seller then replied saying it does not work with 240v cord although if supplied one it would run. Display looks nice but that’s the only positive because it cannot get to my desired temperature OR to sit constantly at the one temperature. I’ve only ever had one other camping 12v/24v/240v fridge before this and I did not expect such poor quality. Shame really because I like to match products and I intended buying at least 4 of these but this one will go back as it isn’t worth the worry. When I Plug a fridge into power, I expect to wait no more than a couple hours for contents to chill; not all night & into the next day. I purchased tgis only days ago. This morning I had set display to minus 5 and it sat at 16 degrees most of the day. Eco mode is a joke to rely on (even after 10 hours) the fridge cannot get anywhere near minus 5 degrees accept if placed into HI power mode. Again Brass money had anti frost and worked fantastic in eco mode. Look honestly if this is Australian made then it’s possible that is why it’s such junk. Go China kings of the industry I’m sure
