Same problem stated by everyone else. Bought a 58v kit and was ditched regarding warranty. I see they have a positive review for customer service regarding [Name Removed] and [Name Removed], unfortunately I got [Name Removed] and [Name Removed] who didn't care. Show details

Another customer feeling ripped off and let down. Multiple garden tools in the 58v range that have become throw away items due to lack of product backup. The customer service is nothing short of disgusting. I will never buy any AEG products ever again and am equally disappointed in Bunnings as the distributor who are equally as quick to wipe their hands clean. Customers vote with your wallets !!

Battery malfunctioned after 5 years. Bought the battery new for aeg impact wrench. Battery lights up but cannot be used as tested by Bunnings. Do not recommend. Reached out to Aeg and was advised AEG only has 1 year battery warranty. Advise is to register aeg product within 30 days of purchase on their website for extended warranty if you still want to purchase it new. My Ozito battery lasts longer than this. Show details

Bad quality – The product is Very low quality and not good warranty that they giving to customers. Other brands have full refund warranty till 6 yrs so do not buy this product. Battery heat up easily even 10 mins of use and stop to work. Need almost 1 and half hour to charge battery which last only 10 minutes. Battery charger will not work while the battery is in heat. I want to return it if you accept in half price which i used 2 times. It is really bad. Show details

I’m off to the tip to dump thousands of dollars worth of AEG 58v power tools (see photos). Went through 8, yes 8 batteries that failed. 2 were replacements from AEG that also failed. I was feeling horrible until I read others on this site in the same boat. Misery loves company. Now the whole range is discontinued. It amazes me that there is no big… Read more

noise being made about this ripoff or consumer protection getting involved. What a disgusting attitude by AEG towards their customers. Worst part is I now have to replace them all. It’s also a pity a gigantic hardware chain like Bunnings didn’t have the moral courage to warn their customers about these products and continued to sell them.

It is sad when you think you can trust a product and its distributor, which I won't mention, and they treat you with contempt. I personally have over 44 AEG products, and I wish I had stuck to the brands I had known and used previously. You would… Read more

expect spending so much money and loyalty to a brand, they would support their products, but they don't; their outlet just said it's not worth repairing, buy a new one? Therefore, a perfectly functioning drill with an intermediate pause problem should be sent to a landfill because the manufacturer may have instructed their distributor not to repair it, but to sell a new one. Great Work, AEG, very disappointing. The sad thing is, I'm not in the trade; this is just general home-use products. Overall, I would say if you're a tradesperson and rely on your tools to earn an income, I would stay clear of the AEG, even if you're just a home user like me. I don't use it all the time, and maybe not for years. The warranty has obviously expired, and now they can't or won't repair their products.

I was willing to pay for necessary repairs, but when I’m told at the counter that it’s not worth it, why would I continue to invest in the brand? I certainly won’t; I’ll choose a more reliable brand in the future. And as for the other 43 AEG products, I'm certain they are all destined for the same fate.

Thanks for nothing.

Great quality tools – Very happy with all the AEG power tools I've purchased. Been using my drill, driver and grinder 7+ years and still have the same 6ah batteries I got with them. I have added many more tools to my AEG 18v range and have had zero issues.

AEG TOOLS PLUS – I would like to give a personal review of the AEG tools that I have and the experience with the staff. I have a variety of over 40 tools, both 18v and 58v. Firstly I appreciate the onsite delivery of my new tools and the pick up of tools that have had issues. Yes even those. I have used many different brands over the years, nearly 40+ and have… Read more

found that no matter what brand you have there are always some tools that give you grief. I have found that with AEG being one of the first to offer a 6 year warranty on their tools is exceptional. They come and collect the tool and often give a loan while in repair. My only negative is repair times. Can be to long! Overall my tools are great, the batteries are excellent, the variety is good, but could be expanded, the service is incredible and they often do trade nights which are great and always offering good deals.

Batteries don't last long, I now have several AEG batteries that only lose one to two bars before stopping, this is only after about 12 months being used for domestic work. I have used battery tools for my work as a tradie and never had so much trouble with batteries. Very disappointing, won't be buying AEG again.

I feel completely letdown by AEG with their 58V tools saga. They told me to buy them - so I did. Then with no consultation with customers - they tell us they are dropping the 58V line. Well that's great isn't it. Thanks so much and kiss my a---. There are various avenues AEG could have taken to assist the now disalounsioed 58V H.D, AEG customers:… Read more

1/ Offer of a discount on your 18V range of tools as trade ins for the 58V tools many of us have, 2/ You could have provided the battery details to another manufacturer who would have updated the battery balancing issue & continued to make these batteries. 3/ You should have given us an apologies for wasting our money on your deleted significant range of battery tools you are still peddling today!.

How do I feel as a customer who has over 60 AEG products and many of these from the 58V range. - I feel like I've been raped, kicked in the guts, used, discarded and left in the lurch by AEG. Shame on you AEG management - your a disgrace to the industry & in particular the solid customers who invested their hard earned money with you. And Bunnings - why let this happen?. I / we the customers have been traumatised by the disregard, and as such will alway have a bad taste in our mouths about buying AEG products ever again; or power tools from Bunnings.

I once respected AEG, but they have shown their true colours -being a pack of money hungry, profit focused, customer disloyal, turkey's. Why turkey'? Because no respectful battery tool manufacturer would have done this to their customers in any way shape or form. Shame on you AEG, sorry, but you couldn't manage your way out of a wet paper bag.

BEWARE! No repairer will service AEG Power Tools. I have a compound mitre saw - not much out of warranty - call AEG - where can I get this repaired - I am in Brisbane. ONLY ONE IN AUSTRALIA!!), then they will assess it, and they estimate this will be 4 to 6 weeks ... SO I have to get a new saw, I can't wait 6 weeks. I won't be getting an AEG tool, it is costing me a new tool when it could be a 5 minute repair.. It really demonstrates throw away attitude, selling a prouct that has one service centre in the country. This also reflects really poorly on Bunnings... why are they selling something without any local support?

I spent thousands on 58V battery range, only to find that they discontinued the battery production all of a sudden. My battery failed and I sourced a second hand battery which also failed a few weeks later. When I contacted them their answer was that there is nothing that they can do as they are out of warranty. dozen uses ! Forgot to register so they say NO WARRANTY ! "try Bunnings for receipt" was their response. Then find out they're dropping all 58V ! DON'T BUY FROM THIS BRAND, it's deception at it's worst, they're still flogging 58V even though they are dropping it, they are not going to support or continue it once your warranty runs out due to a plethora of battery issues according to a Bunnings staff member. You'll be "investing" your hard earned into an unreliable already discontinued product range so shop elsewhere or you'll be stuck with thousands of $ of rubbish like I have been. Due to their poor quality and deception I will never buy from this brand again, 18V, 58V, kitchen appliances, anything AEG puts it's name to ( given they don't actually make their own products ). I'm converting to Greenworks at least they'll support with a massive domestic battery warranty and my electric ride on mower has been faultless.

AEG Tricks Customers – I have invested several thousands of dollars in into the 58v tools. buy the last of them is very poor on AEG behalf.

I noticed that the 58v tools have not been stocked in increasing numbers of stores, over the past 2 years ..... so AEG have know about this for a long time.

I bought the tools with the expectation that they would last well past the warrantee period, and definitely well past the battery warrantee which is half that of the tools.

If AEG and Bunnings were serious they would offer a replacement tools for the 58v that they failed to let customers know they were getting out of.

around involved with petrol saws. You'll need more than one battery, otherwise you'll be waiting around when it runs out and ideally you need to wait a few hours or even overnight before recharging them. Budget for at least 3, plus the batteries wear out/fail - at least the AEG ones did.

The line trimmer failed at about 3 years and the brushcutter about 2 years. It became clear none of them would last the 6 year warranty period and AEG was unable to repair them. It also appeared there were no replacements available. All the batteries were on recall too. I think Bunnings and/or Milwaukee may have given up on AEG - at least this family.

Kudos to Bunnings for resolving the situation. The contact there negotiated a swap out of all my AEG tools and batteries for Ryobi equivalents. It turns out AEG is owned by Milwaukee as is Ryobi. The Ryobis have 6 year warranties and initial impressions are they work just as well as AEG, so I'm happy.

Footnote: I won't buy tools without a swap out warranty again - too much stuffing around.
