My wife and I have never been happy with previous mattresses. Most spring mattresses settle and loose their support after a few years and my wife likes a very firm mattress and I prefer a medium but with good support. This Bed has been a life saver for my back.
I have Facet Joint Arthritis and Degenerative Disc Disease. We originally purchased the Sleep Number Sanctuary Mattress over 8 yrs ago. It has never let me down, I've had the best sleep and no backache since purchasing this mattress. Like a few customers have commented I was taken a back when I saw the inside of the bed and a bit dubious about what I had actually bought. It turned out to be the best mattress purchase we've made. In the last couple of months it had started to lose air over night and during the day, this started to affect my back.... We started looking for a new mattress and I was amazed at how my back started to ache after half an hour of trying mattresses. They weren't as comfortable as my Sleep Number Sanctuary even when it was losing air, in fact they were too soft. Plush is the new word for mattress comfort these day and if you have a look at the cut out that most stores display it's all just layers of foam over the springs. Whilst trying the mattresses out I released I just wanted my Sleep Number Sanctuary to not lose air, of course I had forgotten the 25 yr pro rata warranty. So I called AH Beard logged a service call and couldn't be happier with the results. The Customers service was excellent the Service guys were fantastic and I ended up with 2 new bladders of the newer Sleepsense range all for a couple of hundred dollars. This has returned my bed back into the wonderful sanctuary it has been for the last 8 years. Oh and if you think I'm a plant, I'm not I am a genuine customer.

AH Beard Bed
Bed was good for maybe 6 months now it is like a hammock and it smells not sure where or what the smell is but appears to be coming from the blow up mattress. I am unable to sleep in it I moved into spare room ... in a much cheaper bed but more comfortable and no smell. We will be calling AH Beard it is approx 15 months old. If I am not looked after I will be heading straight to fair trading.

Great for the people who have pain.
Great for our backs. Great we can choose either side for comfort, Like i like it hard, my hubby likes it not quite so hard. I have had AH Beard beds before and they have always been very helpful. We recently are having a problem with one side deflating only a little but enough to refill each day. I am sure that AH Beard will help out and don't feel i will need to be to concerned. Thank you. I notice some people had someone come out and put it together, we did not have this option even though we did ask the company we bought it from , but i would suggest if you buy one ask for this as it would have been easier for us with a back complaint as it is not a light product.

For the first 3 months this mattress was wonderful, then it started to sag. I sleep middle, side, other side and turned the mattress head to toe every other week. The medium setting was perfect for the first 3 months then I went to the harder setting, then it started to sag. I am very light at 55kg, I slept on this bed alone. After 9 months I sent it back they tried to return it saying it was fixed, I queried the issue they said they had replaced the top of the mattress. I read the other reviews here, clearly this is how they handle this situat...ion and clearly the customer gives up eventually and throws the mattress away. This bed is nothing but a mattress topper on a blow up bed so it will only ever be ok for a few months then, the topper will need to be replaced again. Given it has a 10 year warranty it will be a lot of hassle for a mattress that is really only good for a few months at a time. I have now called AH beard 6 times and sent 3 emails, the customer service manager Paige Featherstone sent me a blanket email saying the warranty Does not cover comfort wear tear and body signatures, so I assume she is saying this applies for someone of 55kg sleeping on one of their mattresses in the short term. It’s now been two weeks I have resent the email to her email and left her a phone message. My next step will have to be to take this to the ACC. The few good reviews for the product are clearly either false or written very shortly after purchasing the bed. DO NOT BUY THIS BED or From this company, you have been warned.

WORST MATTRESS EVER
We agree with every single word Graham C has said and the other unfortunately negative reviews. We have conceded defeat after suffering for over 2 years by having had to buy a new Sealys Posture-pedic traditional inner spring mattress to save our aching bodies and have come to terms with writing this off as a huge and very expensive mistake. We were both 'sinking' on our sides so felt like we were in a hammock with a big lump in the middle between us. The two sinkholes and lump were even visually apparent when the bed was made INCLUDING whe...n the settings were on Firm!! As a result, we woke up every single time we wanted to turn over. I even found getting out of it a mission due to it riding up on the sides and each morning we both woke with seriously sore hips, backs and shoulder blades - and we are not old enough for that yet! Already noticed a huge difference with our new mattress in less than a week. Pain is gone, room to spread out as the mattress is flat, no constant waking and easy to get up from in the morning. It had got to the stage where we could no longer stand this one and I dreaded getting into it. We seriously would never recommend this mattress to anyone as it is nothing but a seriously overpriced airbed. PS I am from NZ but no option for that even though we bought it at Harvey Normans in Auckland and luckily for Kiwi's, this mattress is no longer sold in NZ.......

The biggest waste of money..
The biggest waste of money, it was like sleeping in a canoe either side with a hump in the middle. It was sent back to A H Beard and lord only knows what they did to it. Another time they said it was the chambers so they exchange them and it made no difference. We have since bought a new mattress and that very pricey heap of excrement is in the shed. Love that you read other reviews and the problem is the same but when you contact A H Beard this is a one off.

THe mattress started to sag on both sides where we sleep with a hump in the centre.
I am not sure what is causing the sagging, the spring coils or the topping. -- AH beard first took the mattress and did something to it. It was better for about a week and started sagging again.
I had to buy a Selay now which is not sagging.

The SleepSence is an excellent bed
After our experiences with SleepSense beds we feel we are very well informed about them – good and not so good and therefore wish to help prospective buyers with our experiences as follows:-
1/. We love our King Size SleepSense bed.
2/. When at our previous unit we purchased a SleepSense bed and were very happy with it. When we sold that unit, we sold it fully furnished including our wonderful SleepSense bed. After the new owners settled in they let us know that they too love it. After we moved and settled into to our new location...
Piece of excrement
Worse decision to buy one of these beds. Dont waste your money. Over priced and fails to meet the sales pitch info and hype. If it didn't have so much toxic material in it I would put match to it. Hoses kink so the bladder won't inflate or deflate....and slow leaks make for constant monitoring - most uncomfortable bed I have had the misfortune to sleep on.
Repeat....dont waste your money buying one if these.

Brilliant design and comfort beyond expectations.
The most adaptable and independent style of mattress concept available with your partner. Back pain has disappeared for the first time since getting rid of the traditional mattress design ie springs after many years. Having a king spit has finally separated the motion at night with a restless partner that uniquely allows also the facility of lifting the bed at head, foot or in a zero gravity position which is very comfortable. Worth the money.

The most awful mattress ever!!!
We bought this mattress from Harvey Norman 4 month ago and since we bought it we had lots of problems, it's the most uncomfortable mattress ever as I wake up everyday with back pain , they chanded one of the mattress, pump but still there is something wrong with it as it changed to plush after sleeping on the mattress for couple of hours and I can't feel any support on my back.
Thankfully Harvey Norman Bundall have been amazing throughout the whole process and are agreeing to exchange this for another product.

Awful bed and totally not worth the money!
Totally uncomfortable ! It literally caves in for a few cms (not mm's). I bought this 11 months ago. I have added a mattress protector, plus a topper and purchased the base from the same brand AH Beard from Harvey Norman. It still is an absolute waste of money. PLEASE BEWARE!!!
Best mattress out
Purchased from H/norman as our Xmas present.
We were looking for another firm mattress & tried out everyone they had & it came down to 2 mattresses. We decided on this one as you can have different firmness's depending on how you are feeling. Also the best bit was that if your partner wants their side either firmer or softer it is just a small adjustment.
I just love it & don't toss & turn all night now & if i do my partner cannot feel me moving because of the 2 separate mattresses inside the one big one.
Owned the new Sleep Sense for about 6 months now, but wouldn't recommend. While it is fairly comfortable on the firmest setting (although my wife really finds it uncomfortable), there are a lot of issues with this mattress, which they fail to mention when selling it:
1. The "new revolutionary spring-less technology" is a complete sham. If you unzip the mattress, you'll see its just two normal inflatable camping mattresses inside. I was gobsmacked at the sight of this.
2. The bed comes with a bulky electrical box that needs to be plugged...in at all times, so if you have an ensemble base and the bed is pushed up against a wall, it becomes a nightmare, depending where your power outlet is... AND contrary to what they advise, the box needs to be plugged in all the time as the mattress leaks air. 3. Any setting softer than "medium firm" is completely useless. The mattress just becomes concaved since there is hardly any air left in the camping mattresses. Any softer settings (such as "plush setting") is hilarious to see, because it ceases becoming a mattress and becomes more like an inadequate hammock. 4. I have contacted AH Beard on numerous occasions to come out and inspect the mattress to ensure its not faulty (as the softer settings are completely absurd), and they have stood me up twice (which was annoying as I had to come home from work to wait) and now I've found the company is having some "internal issues" making it impossible to get any further response / call back from them. We paid half price ($2500) due to a special sale they were having, but I would definitely NOT buy another Sleep Sense, especially since they range up to $10,000!! I suggest staying with a spring bed, but try to avoid AH Beard, or any Harvey Norman mattresses for that matter.
aching and sore
Hot and need to go to the chiro so sore and achy and bad delivery, still awaiting a call from the manufacturer have rang 3 times. Salesman was great but i did raise concerns with foam or latex due to prior problwms but he reassured me the gel infused foam would make a difference. The mattress was ripped on install after a big lump was banged back into place by two installers chipped my wall and smashed my screen door gandle against the wallthen asked if i had 3 AAA batteries as they had forgotten them!!!!

Sceptical at first
Buying a mattress you both agree on is hard. My husband and I spent weeks and weeks mattress shopping. We had not been a fan of our last two expensive mattresses and only kept them so long to justify what we spent on them. Even though I had seen these SleepSense/Sleep Number mattresses in the shops I never considered them, thinking they were gimmicky... Until we actually tried it out. Finally! We could customise each size. The salesman talked about "micro adjustments through the night". - That does not happen, you set your firmness and that is ...it. I found when the ambient temp got warmer I had to reset the firmness. No biggy - I did it while I was on my device. My husband had an aching back and reset his side again to accommodate. Although it does come with one remote, you can download the app and control it from there. It took me about two weeks to get over the the price I paid for an air mattress, but once I did and 4 months on I can honestly say this is the best mattress I have owned.

Ring customer service they are great, the warranty is pretty good. Ours was playing up after 9yrs with a pro-rata warranty meant we only had to $150.

One of the bladders has started leaking from one of the molded corner areas on the under side of the bladder. There is no puncture from external sources. It seems that it’s just given away probably from a blemish in the bladder material or in the moulding/welding process of making the bladder. It’s part of a Queen mattress, the whole mattress is useless now. It’s still well within warranty having been purchased fro Harvey Norman in February of 2017. What can I do to get this bladder fixed or replaced in a timely manner.
Contact AH Beard. It should still be under warranty. I bought mine and recall there was a ten year warranty. Anyway they should be able to supply a new bladder. Give them a call
I had very similar. They replaced the bladder. We had mattress about 3 months. Would never buy one again. Be persistent. I had to keep chasing it up.
I found the Customer Service at AH Beard wonderful & very helpful to deal with. They'll get this sorted out very Quickly for you. You just need to log your problem with them and they'll attend to it as quickly as COVID-19 transport woes allow.
Why does the mattress setting pump it’s self up? During the night it goes to full hard. It’s driving me mental and hurting my back
It sounds like you have an air leak. Mine never activates and I only check the pressure every three months. If it's under 10 years old then contact AH Beard for repair advice.
Definitely sounds like a problem, I'd certainly call them and get some advice. Mine came with a 20 year Pro Rata Warranty. I had an issue with mine that was 8 years old and it was losing air overnight but not pumping itself up again. The guys came out replaced the inner bladders and as they were an update on the one I had I needed a new pump and Remote, this all came in as under $200.00. Bed is perfect now.
