Glen fitted us in with an emergency remediation issue, then came to do 3 further units a month later. He explained the process, kept the house clean throughout with protective covers, was careful around our elderly, frail dog and his pricing was competitive. We will now do this annually with his firm.

Awesome service!! – Dealing with the staff was easy. They were friendly, helpful and efficient. The service was booked for me within days of the phone call. Chris arrived early with a smile and a great attitude. He completed the clean, left everything tidy and was great to deal with.

The gurgler.Pansonic.cs- rz80tkr – Unit cools and heats fine, but on low fan setting it 'gurgles' as though short on gas, which can be heard even over the TV.Has been checked by Installer, and it seems this model uses 'New'???technology.Have an older model as well that still goes fine. The low fan setting does not seem to go as low as the older model.

Disappointing brand Midea split Aurora poor back up – Purchased new from Bunnings 6 years ago worked well for 4 years then failed with lots of fault displays on control. On calling Midea as it supposedly had 5 year warranty they wanted to charge for a tech to come out and tried to claim it was installing issue I explained it had worked for 4 years? I cleaned filters reset unit and new batteries in… Read more

control as they suggested but still no good in the end in middle of summer had it removed and another brand reinstalled

Carrier air conditioner – A Carrier split system air conditioner was installed in 2014. The unit has stop functioning. Research indicates that split systems should have a "life" of between 15 and 20 years. This unit is only 6 to 7 years old. Warranty period, for the Carrier unit, was 5 years. The product is NOT fit for purpose and Carrier will not repair the unit and will… Read more

only investigate the problem if I am prepared to pay a fee of some $350.00 for just a report. Carrier will not negotiate and will not discuss the matter further. I suppose that Carrier considers this "good customer service"! (The irony is that I paid for a Mitsubishi unit to be installed but for reasons unknown a Carrier unit was installed. The unit was installed in a rental property managed by an agent).

Not impressed by pushy service – I purchased a general air conditioner clean service through Groupon. Had it done once before and I was impressed so got them out again, but that was a mistake. When the cleaner first arrived, I admitted to him that it had been two years since the unit was last cleaned - BIG mistake! He then, without so much as looking at the unit first,… Read more

insisted straight away, that he would need to use extra cleaning products to clean the unit, stating it would cost me an additional charge to do so.

I explained to him that the last time I had it cleaned, was the first time in about 7 years, by the same company, and that they never advised me they would need to use extra cleaning products, nor did they attempt to charge me extra for an additional cleaning service. They also took the time, to show me the parts of the unit and how dirty they were, but at no time, did i ever feel pressured by them to agree to additional cleaning. It was a pleasant experience.

The cleaner disregarded that and continued to tell me that by doing the standard clean of the unit, he would feel he wouldn't be doing his job properly.

I apologised to him for him feeling that way, but I told him I simply couldnt afford to pay for additional cleaning, as I am a pensioner, and advised him to just carry out the normal cleaning service that had already been paid for, and i assured him i would be happy with the result.

He then began his work, and whilst i was in another room, i heard him taking photos, which i was immediately concerned by. I approached the cleaner to ask why he was taking photos, and he told me it was stated in the terms and conditions that he was allowed to. I asked him where it was stated in the T&Cs, but he was unable to answer me, so i read through the terms and conditions on both the Air Con Clean website and on Groupon.

I found where it was stated in the T&Cs that photos may be taken, but i was disappointed that the cleaner failed to show transparency, by simply letting me know he was going to take the photos, just so i was aware and informed. I didn't have a problem with him taking the photos, i had an issue with him not informing me, so that problem would have been quickly and easily resolved by simple communication. When you have a strange man in your home taking photos, you have a right to question that - anyone would.

The cleaner then began pulling apart the air conditioner unit, and as he was doing that, i received a phone call from Air Con Clean. The lady who called me told me she had spoken with the cleaner about how dirty my air conditioner was, and she was trying to influence me into agreeing to pay the extra money for the additional cleaning of the unit.

I was shocked by that and told her that I wasn't interested, as i had already just told the cleaner the same thing, but she continued trying to pressure me into agreeing to it and she wouldn't take no for an answer, so I hung up from her. She immediately tried to call me back but I didn't answer.

Then, after that happened, I confronted the cleaner and told him how unhappy I was about the phone call i had just received, and how i felt i was being pressured by the lady on the phone, as well as the cleaner himself, to agree to the additional cleaning of the unit, so I informed him to simply conduct the job he was being paid to do, then leave.

As I was telling him this, the same woman from the office was calling the cleaner but he didnt answer her call, as he and I were talking at the time.

In the end, before the cleaner left, I took the opportunity to be clear with him about what i was unhappy about. I again made reference to the photos, to let him know I would have preferred to have just been informed beforehand, and he explained to me that he takes the photos to protect himself from being sued by the customer if their air conditioners break down. (He didn't disclose this to me earlier). I told him that was fair enough, and I assured him I wouldn't do that, but I did advise him i would be leaving a review relating directly to my experience of the service, and how it made me feel, and that it wouldnt reflect on the quality of his work. I stand by that statement.

I do believe that the cleaner did the work he was paid to do, and that his standard of work was not called into question. I was only unhappy about feeling pressured to agree to additional cleaning services and upset by photos being taken without being informed or provided with a reason as to why when first asked.

I believe from my own experience with this company, that Air Con Clean are incapable of accepting no as an answer and they will go out of their way to not only try to pressure you themselves, but they will also have their staff try to pressure you as well, as a way to back you into a corner, but I didn't stand for that.

Despite their attempts, I stood by my response and I didn't let them change my mind on the matter but I couldn't help but think of the many other vulnerable people out there, like the elderly, who would be very easily influenced by this company, into paying more money for an additional service that they probably don't even need.

But whether they need it or not is irrelevant, as ultimately, it is up to the customer to decide what it is that they want, and the company should respect their customer's decisions, and leave it at that.

I believe that Air Con Clean staff use quite shocking and appalling sales tactics, and they should be ashamed of themselves for how they conduct their work. Strive to do better Air Con Clean.

Great service, Split Systems ready for another year! – Jai has just finished with the detailed strip & clean of our 2 aircon split systems. He was optimistic, easy to talk to and did a great job. He was happy to explain the work he was doing, and show me some of the before and after bits of filter/equipment, adding some tips and tricks for basic care I can do myself to help prolong the life of the… Read more

Not that crash hot, very chilly – Air con was not pulled apart as stated, the technician was only here of a maximum of 35 minutes for 2 air-conditioners, then we had to finish cleaning one of them after he left, definitely would not use or recommend them to anyone. I brought them on Groupon to try them out that's probably why you get a inferior service. Rating 1

Fantastic thorough service, fully recommend – I purchased a voucher on Groupon, so wasn't expecting the full service, but Michael was fantastic. He didn't care that I had a discounted voucher (some people can't afford full price). He was thorough, friendly and explained some good maintenance for our air con. Fully recommend Air Con Clean and ask for Michael. Cheryl

Excellent Clean, Great Price! – I found Air Con Clean after I was quoted $300 to clean my Fujitsu unit by the company which installed it. That seemed steep, so I started looking around, and I came across Air Con Clean, who at that time had around 130 five star reviews on Google. What I noticed was that with the two negative reviews, the owner had responded immediately and… Read more

rectified the problem. I'm really surprised they aren't already positively reviewed here, because they rock.

But to get on to their service. They quoted roughly a quarter of the price to clean the unit and were able to answer questions about the ingredients of the product they use to clean. The fellow showed up on time -- kind of a rare thing these days. He used a product which is low chemical and steamed out the unit, to free it of all mould and dust lurking back in those places I simply could not get to with a vacuum or a brush. He also cleaned the outside of the unit and the exterior fins. He put down a plastic drop sheet to ensure the carpet didn't get wet. Then he dried out the unit. All of this took about 40 minutes. There was no hard sell to book me in again; just a recommendation that it be done in about 12 months.

Wow, the difference in the airflow and the odour from the unit is great! It is only about 18 months old, but being a bedroom unit and in a dark corner, had quite a bit of dust and mould in it. Now it is like new, and smells so much better: it's not fragranced or anything, just clean and no longer smelling dusty.

My electricity bill was also marginally improved -- not heaps, but also nothing to be sniffed at.

Highly recommended.
