Not a bad vacuum Cleaner - Does the job reasonably well! – My immediate impression was that this vacuum cleaner has poor suction because it was relatively quiet, even at full power and the vacuum head glided a bit too easily over the carpet. But how strange? It sucked up all the dust and lint that sticks to the carpet with ease! The dust settles neatly and convenienetly in a separate compartment at the… Read more

bottom of the vacuum cleaner. Hence emptying out the collected dust is as simple as opening the large hinged door in the bottom of the vacuum cleaner. This also keeps the main filter/compartment relatively free of dust. And here is the next surprise - the amount of dust collected was quite impressive! And because the dust is not visible until you open the bottom door you think not much dust has been collected at first. What can I say? A vacuum cleaner that actually picks up the lint and dust whilst gliding over the carpet with such ease. It makes vacuuming a breeze! The concerns I have to report are: 1. the 4.2m long power cord is much shorter than the usual 5m-7m. 2. The 810mm telescopic tube (usually 1000mm) is a bit short for the average Aussie male. 3. It has the narrower 30mm (vs 34mm) tube, hose and vacuum head connection which makes it more susceptible to blockages 4. The vacuum cleaner is a definitely bit bulky and heavy. But its well built and very sturdy as well!

This is an Amazing Vacuum – Great Vacuum and it works really well. All you need to do is clean the filters at least once a month and it works like new, The suction is very powerful and the item looks nice as well. People on here just need to chill and clean things out before ditching the product. Vacuums need to be cleaned out as well!!

Junk – Not enough suck, No power, I think its the shortest cord in history, and a pain to empty and clean. My fault for being cheap i suppose! Its now a garden shed cleaner and am purchasing an expensive reputable brand.

Worst vacuum ever – Doesn't suck, low capacity, shortest cord I've ever seen on a vacuum, parts fall off, can't cope with thick pile at all. Filter gets full of dust and hard to clean. Don't waste your time or money on this machine it doesn't do anything and you're better of using a broom to clean your carpets and floors Nothing Everything

The electric cord pulled out to the full extent and now it won't rewind. Can't get the back off to try and fix the problem. Piece of rubbish!

Worst purchase I have made ever (I once bought a betamax) – Without a doubt the most useless vacuum cleaner I have seen. Don't be tricked into thinking that 2000w means any amount of power. \ The machine was most useful as a "broom" pushing dust and dirt around my house on both varnished floor boards and carpet. Applying the "handy" car attachment just transfered the frustration to a different place.… Read more

my 10 year old now uses the the silver tube as a ninja staff. I have no idea how this product was ever deemed useful.

When "bagless" doesn't mean "dustless" – I'll cut to the chase. This vacuum cleaner works well, is reasonably maneuverable and not too loud. It represents good value for money in a market where in 2011, bagless vacuum cleaners can be had for under $50. This was nearly double that, but the tradeoff is greater dust capacity, variable suction and a nice adjustable length, telescopic… Read more

chromed metal wand.

Purchased during an often-repeated promotion, it included a turbo head attachment. Note this is not a full width accessory and isn't hinged so it's not suitable for floors. It's intended for curtains and furniture.

Two years on and it's still very good. Admittedly, we don't vacuum as often as we should.

Problems/irritants? A few.

1. The cord is 4.7 metres long. I wish it was nearer to 6 metres.

2. Our hose fell out of the plastic handle piece. I used high quality superglue on the locking collar that secures the hose to the handle.

Fixed.

3. The brush, crevice tool and handle are made of the same cheap feeling recycled plastic. At least they're not brittle.

4. The standard floor tool is adequate, but the switch for hard floors is incredibly stiff, even when using your foot.

5. Emptying it will be challenging if you have arthritis or weakness in your fingers. The (bottom dustbin door) release button is tensioned by a heavy spring. Even when you push it all the way, the flap doesn't always open without another finger or two prying at the edge of the flap.

6. The HEPA filter access door is easier to open. The filter is easy to remove and replace, with just a twist. But the dust in the HEPA filter compartment doesn't completely dispense into the main dust compartment below it.

It seems with some designs of bagless vacuum cleaners, the advantage of not having to buy bags is offset by the need to expose yourself to the dust. Paper bag? Easy. Take it out and (carefully and without squeezing it) throw it away. Here, it's a bit more hands-on.

So, for basic emptying of fluff and dust, you need to open two flaps and remove the filter. If emptying into a plastic bag or lined bin, you should consider wearing (at least) a paper face mask.

There's a couple of foam sponge panel filters too. I don't wash them, but use my little cordless vacuum cleaner on them! They will last longer this way.

Stuff I missed; the handle has a sliding relief valve (just a hole). The dust compartment detaches from the main chassis easily with the push of a broad button. The motor output is variable using a knob located on the top-rear of the unit. The power and cord retract foot switches seem good enough. The cord retracts like a whip, so beware of that.

In summary, it's not bad. Performs nicely and is reasonably well made for the price. Speaking of which, it won't cost you the equivalent of a major car service like some of the "big names".

The line under this review will say I recommend it, but it's a line-ball decision that *just* falls in its favour. Consider what I've written above, and have a good look at it in the shop if possible. Stable, good suction, decent value, Accessory quality/feel, hose to handle security, joyless emptying regime
