I’m absolutely in love with my Kärcher Wet & Dry Vacuum. It’s like having a whole cleaning crew in one machine! One minute I’m vacuuming the carpets, the next I’m on the hard floors, then out in the car, and even blasting leaves off the patio with the blower. It sucks up wet spills, tackles dry mess without breaking a sweat, and makes every job so much quicker. I didn’t think I could love a vacuum this much, but here we are. Show details · 1
Such a good vacuum for renovating and DIY! Really powerful suction for outdoors and indoors. I appreciated how lightweight it was for its size as I’m pregnant and it was really easy on my back. The other feature I loved was the blower! How clever! Cleaned my yard so quickly. And lastly, I can’t fault the storage it offers on the Vacuum itself… I’m… Read more · 1

What impressed me most is how effectively it eliminates dust while I sweep. It keeps the space so much cleaner, which makes a massive difference during messy projects like sanding or plaster removal. It’s also great for both wet spills and dry debris – nothing fazes it!
Clean-up used to be the part I dreaded most, but now it’s quick and effortless. This vac has honestly streamlined my entire renovation process, and I’ve recommended it to several fellow DIYers already. Very happy with this purchase – it’s powerful, efficient, and worth every cent!
Follow-up · Favourite feature is that we can easily clean up both wet and dry mess so easily. I've found that with stubborn dust, the right attachment is really important and slow and steady wins the race. The filter clips in and out easily and cleaning is quick and simple.

I bought this vacuum to help with the bigger, messier jobs around the house—and it’s honestly been amazing. It’s made for the kind of cleaning that regular vacuums just can’t handle. I’ve used it for everything from cleaning out the garage and car to clearing leaves off the driveway. It’s also great for cleaning out our JetSki’s excess water and… Read more · 1

The no-filter-change feature is a lifesaver. I can go from vacuuming dry dust to sucking up spills without stopping to swap anything out. The built-in blower is also super handy for getting into tight spots.
It’s surprisingly compact and lightweight, which makes it easy to move around. The long cord and hose give you plenty of reach, and the on-board storage keeps everything tidy. I especially love that it has a power outlet with auto on/off, which is super convenient when using it with power tools.
Overall I highly recommend!
I absolutely love the Kärcher Wet and Dry Vacuum WD 2 Plus! It's a fantastic cleaning tool that handles tough jobs easily, from my car to the garage. Don’t buy one – I paid over $400 for my stick Karchner…..would the worst most useless vacuum I’ve ever had. I have hard floors and it doesn’t pick up even on strong suction. Then when I stand it up most of what it has sucked up falls straight out…. Bought one fro Kmart for $70 and that does a better job. Show details

Karcher Wet and Dry Vacuum WD 2 Plus Not the Best! – I am writing to you today regarding a Karcher vacuum WD2 Plus cleaner that I recently purchased from Bunnings Warehouse in Perth a few months ago. Unfortunately, the machine has malfunctioned. The problem began with the machine burning, losing power, and emitting a large amount of foul-smelling white smoke. I immediately shut down the machine and… Read more
disconnected it from the power outlet after inspecting all internal components. I noticed that the filter was full, so I suspect that the machine may have overloaded. However, I am unsure if this was the definitive cause of the malfunction, especially considering my previous Karcher vacuum cleaner of the same model functioned perfectly for eight years without any issues. Normally, when the filter is full, the vacuum cleaner should only lose vacuum, not get into flame! Fortunately, Bunnings Warehouse kindly replaced the faulty vacuum cleaner free of charge. Additionally, I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the new hose design. The current hose attachment is difficult to use on its own, unlike the previous version, which had a longer, curved design that was much more user-friendly. Disappointingly, it seems this improved hose design is only available on the more expensive Karcher models.

This is the most versatile vacuum I've ever owned. I can switch between wet and dry vacuuming without any hassle. The compact and lightweight design makes it easy to move around and up and down stairs.
All it does is vacuum up dirt – My daughter's Bosh died when we came across a deal on the Karcher WD 2 Plus S unit in Bunnings.. looked like a good deal so we bought it. Immediately got it to work in her house. It was amazing! Light, great suction, big bag, easy to use, simple to replace the bag. Ok, it doesn't have the cord retract and store and the other fancy stuff. When you… Read more · 1
look inside, thankfully Karcher, unlike other much more expensive manufacturers, didn't make it look as complex as a nuclear reactor's waste disposal unit.. Its a vacuum pump with a bin and a bag and all it does is vacuum up dirt and store it in the bag.. How refreshing. It was so good I went back to bunnings and bought one for myself. Somehow I feel this unit will last much longer that the 18 months I got out of my Dyson.
Love my Karcher – Absolutely obsessed with my new Karcher wet dry vacuum. It’s so easy to clean which is a bonus. You can have a bag or no bag which is a great bonus. It is so powerful, I haven’t even needed to use it past low power. So worth the cost ! Show details · 1
it's crap!!! – I've had the Karcher WD6P for a year now. It is used for all general jobs. The nozzle on the end of the flex hose has worn, so that the wand just drops off. The flex hose has just split...was replaced under warranty. The filter clogs up in less than five minutes...in sawdust its worse..I mean really...every five minutes you have to blow out the filter or it has no suction. It's a terrible design & I would never buy one again Show details
Hate it when they DESIGN ITEM to break – This Karcher wet & dry vacuum is designed to break, especially parts. I have Karcher pressure washer and it worked great for the past 4 years so when it was time to get a wet & dry vaccum, I thought i would go Karcher. It was a mistake. They have designed the parts to break. the plastic hose started to crack in 12 months. the attachment brissles… Read more
started breaking (it was always stored in garage/shade). Could not find receipt so didnt get replacement. But now I have Ozito wet & dry vacuum and it works great (noisier but i dont mind as it is occasional use).
Below average for price – First one was replaced under warranty due to electronic shock through vac arm. On using it looses suction due to poor fitting parts mostly at the air filter seems to loosen but not obviously visible. Moving around wheels have their own idea where you want them to go and falls over a lot. Would not recommend as there are cheaper options that are way more powerful without the need to purchase expensive bags. Show details
Great suction but could really use a carpet head – I understand that this is supposed to be a workshop vac, but people with pets know that workshop vacs are where it’s at for pet hair clean up. I have tiles throughout with the exception of the bedrooms so for almost all applications the Karcher WD 6 PS is outstanding. It just needs a head with no bristles so I can do the couch & the bedrooms… Read more

Aside from that, there’s nothing tube size this beast won’t suck up. My kids hate it because I’ll straight up vacuum anything they leave laying around & if they want it back they have to wait until the bag is full & cut it open to retrieve whatever got sucked up. The only limitation is the size of the tube so bye bye Lego, diamond dots, earrings, pens & pencils, markers, socks, hair accessories, make up…I’ll have a crack at anything!

Good suction but poorly made – Only had this vacuum since April but the handle broke last month not sure why as its not heavy and the bag is barely half full. The pole itself also cracked within the first week of purchase. The back section with the filter hasn't closed properly since I purchased it either. Disappointing since this wasn't a cheap vacuum. Powerful vacuum for household/garage use – This vacuum has enormous sucking power and is easily manoeuvrable. I’ve used it around the garage and car as well as cleaning up a renovation mess. It’s quite light weight considering it’s size and very easy to empty the bin. My only suggestion to Karcher would be to provide a few more attachments as it lacks a range. Show reply
Does the job well – During our reno construction this vacuum has been a godsend picking up both set and dry rubbish left behind after work done a little messy to empty but worth the effort Show details · 1
What a piece of junk. Do I have to give it a star? – I saw this vacuum cleaner on sale and, after using Kartcher pressure cleaners at work (good) thought I’d give it a go…. A total mistake. I actually took it back to the shop the same day for advice because, the top fit soo poorly, I thought there must be a fault… (see photo) 3 employees messed around with it trying to get it to fit - and they… Read more
prevailed, but it doesn’t look like it fits -it sits on a weird angle. Wth. Every time I take it off to empty it takes me 10 minutes trying to work out how it goes back on. Honestly.
The other thing that drives me bonkers, because of the crap design, is it just falls over. all. the. time If you look at it the wrong way it will fall over. It is so badly designed it’s embarrassing. (I’m embarrassed for buying it)
The real kicker - I’ve only had this about 3 months - I live in a granny flat, which is tiny, so it would get a fifth of the use a household would and in that time, it seems like a bearing of something has failed in the motor - it now screams like a WW2 air raid siren and I wore earmuffs to use it for the last time before throwing it. I’m still shaking my head at how something could be so poorly made.

Why would a company bother even manufacturing this? – I bought this vacuum as a pure workshop appliance, and while the suction is seems powerful enough for the type of work required, the decisions made around the design of the appliance are bewildering to say the least. For a start, it is top heavy and will tip over with the slightest amount of agitation. Once returned to the upright position it will… Read more
need to be powered off until the motor completely stops in order to begin working again. The hose contains a hard sleeve that is runs inverse to the body of the vacuum, meaning that ANYTHING that is slightly stiff will get stuck and block the flow. The only way to remove any blockage is to attach the hose to the blower motor and "blast" out the blockage, which obviously creates a mess. When the bag is full, it is extremely difficult to remove from the waste container due to the hard hose inlet being at a sharp right angle, tearing the bag. Accidently backing over the vacuum with my car, which forced the purchase of a different brand of vacuum was the best part of owning this frustrating piece of rubbish. Honestly, why would a company bother manufacturing something that has so many flaws and is of such a poor design?
Spouting Vaccum – I purchased this to vacuum out leaves etc from spouting. The fact it does not need a foam filter (the filter supplied does wet and dry so no need to change) was a positive in case some water is in the spouting. Just completed a job and it functioned well. The suction is not as good as my old Delonghi Penta1200watt 22 year old vacuum ( so a little… Read more · 1
bit disappointed there) but it is sufficient (1000watt) to clean the spouting of leaves acorns and dust etc. For the price it seems good value.(NZ$198) (The Delonghi Penta was $500 22 yrs ago) The paper bag latches in well to its fitting and it has a loop to stow the cord. I chose this over the WD6/5 as the filter fitted allows me to fit a pre filter where with the rectangular filter in the WD6/5 this would not be possible. Fitting a prefilter bag over the cartridge significantly extends its life and save you $$. The orange prefilter nylon bags are available at bunnings. You can also fit a foam filter for wet use again Bunnings should have these. If you register on the Karcher site the warranty is extended to 5 years!!
Disgusting customer service and warranty – Brought a wet and dry vac for my mum for Easter to clean her car. She used it twice and the suction hose snapped in half. When I rang i was told she had to send photos and receipt for it to be review. She has no email and when I explained this was told I could do it even if it meant travelling out side of my area in COVID. It’s a 25 dollar part.… Read more

Great vac, I love it! – Mostly I use this vac when cleaning my car but I do use it all around the house - vacuuming the garage, cleaning up garden mess on the patio, the BBQ, spills etc. The blower function is handy too for blowing the leaves off the driveway or out of crevice's in the car.
