Perfect Nappies for Our Family – We started MCN as the pandemic hit, I tried multiple different brands and found that alcmena and their sister company monarch were the best for our family. Super absorbent, easy to fit, beautiful prints and they have a wonderful community in the VIP group. There have been a lot of hurdles in the last 12 months but the company is honest and their customer service is one of the best I have encountered.

Unfortunately the FB group you are unable to write any form of constructive criticism or write a post about faults of your nappies, so when you join the group it's full of fantastic reviews or people behind the scenes that have associations with the brand. It's cult like. There was also a stage you had to get APPROVAL to sell nappies YOU purchased!!

Absolute staple in our cloth stash! – When I first discovered Alcmena, I was using prefolds, pockets & covers to begin with. still accomodate my 4yo, 20kg, 108cm boy with room to spare with most other OSFM brands having been outgrown months ago (average fit estimate is from 4-18kg).

I completely understood their consistent rules around releases as this is to make it fair for all that purchase from them to be able to buy the prints they want, to dissuade greed (buying 4+ nappies in the same print) and nappy currency (buying nappies/accesories purely to hord and later sell at or above retail value).

Evidently, it shows by the false negative reviews that others unfortunately didn't follow or read the rules and had their orders refunded as part of the TOS of purchasing Alcmena products in recent & previous releases. The rules are displayed on the listing page of a release or the individual items that are part of a release as well as outlined clearly and simply on the VIP group that if you don't adhere to the rules, your order will be refunded in full, less a 10% restocking fee as a consequence, so feigning ignorance isn't excusable.

The owner and every employee are absolutely fantastic, friendly and are always quick to respond to emails or enquiries, even during a release. They regularly take on feedback and try to accomodate the needs of customers at every oppurtunity. I've had a few bamboo inserts (from June 2020 release) that have split along the hem and even one bamboo insert that lost a snap and they were quick to replace (warranty is 6 months, much more generous than other brands) which I'm very grateful for.

While I predominately use v3.5s, I have invested in some of their newborn and v1.5 pocket nappies for my son who is due in 12 weeks and am looking forward to using them. The v3.5s are a powerhorse of a cloth nappy. They easily hold 6 hours during the day (long car rides) even for my 4yo super heavy wetter. They hold poonami's well, the double gussets are a must for us. The combination of the nap (bamboo), non-guesseted bamboo and gusseted hemp inserts are an amazing combo for heavy wetters, with hemp being able to absorb 20% of its weight while still feeling dry!

I highly recommend this amazing company and their equally as amazing products!

Great products – I’ve had nothing but great experience with the quality of Alcmena products. I especially love their change mats which we use for all sorts of things. Their PUL is soft and better quality. I also use DBs and I could never get the nappies to last more than 2 hours. Alcmena fit is superior. Interesting reviews below given that a lot of people knowingly did the wrong thing. The owner and customer service is beyond good.

Products quality is getting so bad recently – I was with alcmena full-time 1 year with my daughter. I used to love their 3.5, 1.5, change mats smocks and wetbags but now their quality are getting worse. I have several orders with loose elastic and loose snaps. Terrible customer service – Unfortunate that their products are cute but their service is terrible. The owner proceeded to cancel all 3 of my outstanding orders as I asked to have 1 order cancelled after confusion re the use of a voucher and a promo code (apparently they can’t be used together on the same transaction) and expressed that I was unhappy with 10% restocking fee. Had been a loyal customer up until this point - have spent over thousands of dollars in store.

Terrible customer service – I made a purchase and then found out they would refund it minus 10% of my money. I stated that I was shocked and questioned if that was even legal. business proceeded to announce that the joke was on us because anyone that received a full refund would be removed from the fb group and banned from future purchases. The entire interaction made me extremely stressed out, upset and physically ill. I cannot believe this behaviour came from the owner of this business

Nappies 1.5 & 3.5 – Absolutely fantastic Nappies have such an amazing fit and it's amazing how absorbent the inserts are! The fun prints are a fantastic bonus and I love the feel of the nappies as well. Fantastic customer service and such a great community vibe as well, a fantastic business to deal with.

Our favourite nappies! – Super absorbent, reliable and consistently high quality, Alcmena nappies are the ones I reach for first and the only ones I trust for a comfortable night or car trips. Their designs have something for every one, the customer service is friendly and efficient, and their products are so easy to use. Would highly recommend to anyone. Best MCNs!! – I own a number of MCNs and Alcmena’s creations are hands down the easiest and most versatile for us. Not to mention the incredible prints that are hand drawn and exclusive to Alcmena! The customer service is second to none, the owner is so approachable and kind, and tries her very best to make the cloth journey one of ease and so much fun.

As a new customer of theirs, I was/am very grateful for Alcmena’s thoughtful and thorough approach to giving everyone a chance! It’s also been really refreshing to see overt and in-depth discussions from the owner (in the Facebook VIP group) about how they reach decisions and take feedback on board to continue improving their delivery of products.

I’ve been a cloth nappy user for 5 years now and my only complaint is that I didn’t take a friend’s advice and try Alcmena sooner! The heavy wetter night nappies (I love the V3.5 snaps) are BRILLIANT!

should have read every notification on their facebook page before attempting to purchase from their website. The owners response to this was to refund my 10% but ban me from buying in future. I had not been rude in my query so was very shocked by this. I had received a night nappy 2nd hand which came just after all of this and the snaps do not stay snapped. After the response to my previous complaint and after being attacked by the company representatives I feel it is more hassle than it is worth getting in touch re the faulty nappy. There are plenty of other beautiful nappy makers that treat their customers with respect and are professional when issues arise

have a beautiful selection of accessories to match the nappies. The change mats are large and wipeable. The size means they can be used for so many purposes, from change mat, to play mat, mess mat, blanket, or even a waterproof layer in the cot! The customer service is second to none. Replies are super quick and always very friendly. Troubleshooting is always readily available and nothing is ever too hard for these lovely ladies. The owner pours her heart and soul into her products and client service and always takes on feedback to strive for continuous improvement in her products and business.

Amazing nappy and company – I have been using Alcmena nappies and products for several months now and absolutely love them. Honestly the best night nappy I’ve used and the customer service is amazing. The owner truly cares about her customers and it shows in her service. Highly recommend

It was good at first – I have their change mats, inserts, 3.5's and wet bags. Some are very good but then there are some that are lacking depending on their release dates. I have found products to be very hit and miss.

nappies. I use the v1's during the day or as nap nappies especially if I am going out as I get no leaks out of them even if they are left on a bit longer than if we were just at home. The customer service for this brand is exceptional. There is a great community on the brands Facebook page that is always inclusive and welcome of newbies both the cloth nappies on the whole or just the brand in general but the owners are even more welcoming. I've had the lovely owner answer many questions I have had personally over Facebook messenger and she is always so lovely and accommodating. This alone has made me buy more nappies than I realistically need but it does become a bit of an addiction, as weird as that sounds. The accessories such as the wet bags and change mats are just a level above others that I have tested. The change mats are larger and therefore fully cover public changing stations and can also serve as a rug for little ones to play or eat on and the wet bags are some of the larger ones that I own which is useful for nappies and dirty clothes. Would highly recommend this brand over any other nappy cloth or disposable.
