called five times and left messages as requested, but they don't return calls. All I wanted, was to purchase a replacement DVR, but even that doesn't entice a return call out of them. I think I'm done with Cocoon. Problem is, I have a full install of cameras and was wondering if a different DVR would work with them?
Follow-up · I got my system working again, by purchasing a different set of power packs from JB hifi. The original DVR is working fine again now. The staff at JB knew instantly what the problem was. I still have heard nothing from the Cocoon support people one month later....

different network in mobile. I tried multiple of times with help desk but they are not able to help to resolve the issue and directing the issue to Internet provider. I even contacted to internet provides as well but there is nothing wrong from internet provider. The problem is in the cocoon settings which the help desk didn't able to resolve.
Bought the product from Aldi in March 2024. Worst product ever. Spend a lot money in installation and it didn't worked out.
Service and Product both terrible – We have not replaced not one but 3 x 8 channel cocoon systems in 3 years. system (however be warned). I have phoned Swann customer service for technical specifications on their product and get through to a call centre. The call centre staff are of absolutely no assistance, you would think if you are about to spend $2000+ with a company they could hire knowledgeable staff. I am hoping Swann's product is better than Cocoon. Really tired of cheap Chinese product being sold at high prices which simply doesn't last. Bring back Australian manufacturing, please. I have attached a photo of the 3 systems which have completely died. What a joke. The last one was from Aldi. The previous two from a security place. In total $2000 worth of junk.

your OS version, despite it being up to date. I suspect that couldn't be bothered keeping their software compatible with any Android software version older than the latest version. It's a load of rubbish and I've since replaced the DVR with another brand. The cameras were ok. ALDI should be ashamed of themselves for selling this garbage.
DVR stopped working before 8 months. Tried getting support from Cocoon. Nobody would speak on the phone. I was asked the same questions over and over on email. boot screen of the sofware but cannot find anyone else that uses this software that might have a more up to date version. I dabbled with alternative software like Blue Iris but nothing so far. Thank you for the person from below who gave the heads up about Zosi. This is for Model number CE220633 02/24 8 Channel It keeps recording if the internet goes down but it does not reconnect to the network when it comes back up. Annoying but I attached a google plug power point so it is just hey google turn the power off / turn the power on etc. and it will reboot and recoonect. I installed the Android Zosi app and OMG it is so much better than the Cocoon App. Zosi has been updated and seems to be up to date. Watching Playback is so much easier and the cameras by default are HD and not Low res by defalt like Cocoon. Have not tried the Zosi IOS apps yet.
Poor customer service – Customer service is pathetic. Returned my cameras as they don't connect to my phone. Sent numerous msgs and when it got too hard, they ignored me. Useless company
Waste of hard earned money – Bought 3 sets for $900.00. All 3 DVR's started to beep after a year. Tried all actions as advised by customer service but nothing worked. Aldi should call back the cameras and refund money. Should I take this to one of the news channels?

Continuing camera failure – I reiterate other reviews in giving this product a zero rating. We had a qualified electrician install the Cocoon 8ch 1080P security camera system in 2023, and started experiencing camera dropout after a few months. electrician with same outcome - I.e it worked for a short period and then the cameras started to drop out one by one again. The original tech adviser at Cocoon had left and the new adviser had no records of previous correspondence so we had to start the whole process again. After many emails I have been advised to get power surge protector board despite electrical contractor advising that this is not problem. Costs and frustrations of rectifying this issue for a small community hall are out of proportion and Aldi of no assistance in getting a refund. Will persist but advise anyone to stay well clear of this product.

Works ok after finding alternative software – This is no more or less difficult to install than other camera systems, however the app that is recommended is awful. After some searching there is another app called "Zosi Smart" that works well. The picture quality is no worse than any other 1080p camera and the price is good. Surprised especially because of the bad reviews – We bought this system and I installed it at Easter 2020. It has been working excellent since then with very little issues. at how to increase the sensitivity of the cameras to resolve this, and if i cannot do this in a setting then some solar lights will do the trick. The picture quality was changed from standard out of the box to high quality and this can be done in the settings. Once I had lost the connection from the DVR to my app, this was fixed with a reboot of the DVR. No issues since. Overall very happy with the product especially for the price. I did install the system using a tv as a monitor and set up the system on the app only once I knew it was running ok. I suggest doing this to simplify the process and that way you can eliminate any problems to either the DVR or the app.

Company is fraud – Changed the camera settings from D1 to 960H and the system now reboots itself after 5 minutes. You cannot access the menu to revert the settings or reset the device. Contacted support and they advised plugging the DVR into another TV. Otherwise if you cannot access the menu then there is no way to reset the DVR as the settings are stored in memory. Show details

conforming to industry standard - meaning you could buy a high quality 1080p night camera and interchange it on the primary station and it will work with the Cocoon.
It's a very poor quality DVR cam system I ever seen please buy a swann one for extra 150AUD – Pictures quality are terrible not even vga quality. Cocoon – We had ours about six months and it gave up. Since then we haven't been able to get it fixed or replaced. Can you please help us, or replace the cocoon.

was wrong with it. By the way, I had to pay an electrician to come in and check why the machine didn’t work. He told me it was the plug, saying it’s not a very good plug, I put the cameras away for a while, while the working man and finished doing their work on the roof. I plugged the adapter into the electric, and nothing happened. I called and contacted, customers care. Then I sent them an email, I am sure that when I first applied to them. I sent them my receipt, it’s normally a thing I would do, but since having work done in the office, I cannot find the original receipt. But I have given every other information that I can possibly give, but I am not happy with the outcome. Considering it is the same plug that they repaired or sent me a new one for, then I suppose I would have expected no questions asked and the plug been put in the post. But maybe I was expecting too much.

Cheap is expensive - piece of junk! – The cameras are not clear and cannot be upgraded, you cannot make someone's face leave alone a vehicle number plate. Hard drive stop working – U/s after only 14 months, sat in the box for the first 6 months till I had time to install it. Not happy at all.
