From ok to awesome! – The best gift ever and smoke every weekend, love it!
Purchased in at Aldi for $150.

Cooks great – Took a while to learn how to set up and cook, cooks fish perfectly. Very easy to clean. We keep the cooker under shelter, so that it will last many years.
Purchased in at Aldi Marion for $199.

Doesn't work – There seems to be a fault in the safety thermocouple sensor and the flame won't stay on after you release the knob. Tried adjusting sensor position like in the manual, still won't work. Disappointed and back to Aldi it goes, sadly they probably won't have any replacements in stock.

Since used my smoker to do some smoked meat. Good result and easy to use - once I fixed it. Hope mine was an isolated fault.
Continues to work well have done smoked chicken, ribs, sausages. Works well now I happy to give it 4 stars now it works. I found pellet wood gives good results with it.

As Aldi didn't have replacement stock, and I really did want a smoker, I pulled the gas valve assembly apart, and found it had been incorrectly assembled at the factory. Works now, but really you should not have to do this, and possibly dangerous for someone who didn't know what they were doing. So all good for now.
