To the point – Great knives I hesitated but they came down in price. I had no choice so I bought and I am very surprised they cut very well. The thing I like is the feel and the fact that they came with blade protectors. I have had them for around 1 year 2 months and have not needed to sharpen them. This has to be my best buy at aldi to date Show details

Still the best regardless – Smooth light and does the job I’ve been using then for years! Although” tonight stepson was squeezing down the garlic and it snapped close to the handle? Very odd I thought? But” they’re still a great knife that I’ll still keep buying. lol Show details

Great value set for the price – Set of 6 german steel knives with plastic blade protectors for around $30. They have a similar moulded steel appearance of high end Global knives, but no scallops on the blade. 25% lighter and 1cm shorter for the large chef knife and fairly well balanced in the hand. Not quite a silk purse but not a sow's ear either and ridiculous value price… Read more

thank you Aldi. Out of the box machine sharp and easy to hand hone - perfect to learn how to sharpen your own tools. Bought a couple of sets to give as gifts but still plan on keeping my Global knives. Time will tell how long it holds an edge.

They are as good as Global knives – I bought these knives at Aldi yesterday thinking that they couldn’t possibly be as good as Global Knives as they are $300-600 depending where you buy them, but I thought, if they are no good, I can take them back and get a refund, so I’m only wasting my time. I have used the Global Knives at my daughters and always loved them, but I have some very… Read more

expensive Gordon Ramsay knives made by Royal Doulton which are average at best. So anyway, I bought these knives, washed them and tried the bread knife, cause that’s the one I want the most. Cut through a sourdough with a crunchy crust like it was butter, just like a Global, so I’m thrilled.

The packaging says the steel is German, but the knives are made in China, whereas Global are Japanese, obviously there is going to be a big difference in the quality of the steel and it says not to use them in the dishwasher, which I wouldn’t anyway, although my daughter does with her knives. But if they don’t rust and they stay sharp, either with me sharpening them or just naturally, I’ll be really happy with these knives. They feel comfortable, not heavy and there is a good selection to use out of the 6 knives, from a chefs big knife down to a parer, a bit like the wooden square set of the Global.

I for one, couldn’t be happier. The box in the photo is empty btw..
