This is definitely the best knife for the kitchen I have ever owned. The blade has stayed amazingly sharp with regular use. The handle is smooth to the point of almost soft to the touch. Since I purchased the knife I don’t use anything else.. It’s been over a year since I got it and it’s still sharp as the first day.. You know every now and then I sharpen it. My kitchen doesn’t know any other, excellent for chopping Italian parsley or green onions, peppers etc.. thanks Matsato Knife.. I got two of them one for my son and one for my self on line.. I purchased some Matsato knives a few months back and because of the reasonable price I ended up buying 6 and have used them as very nice gifts to friends and family. Follow-up · It is as easy to clean as other knives. It stays sharp through a lot of use and is easy to sharpen. I do recommend using the correct angle. The edge lasts longer if you run it over a steel after each use. As for comfort, the handle fits very well in your hand and is very comfortable.

Follow-up · I have found the Matsatop knives to retain their edge with a few strokes on. A good steel. I’ve had many knives over the years and the Masato is one of the best . I would recommend it it to everyone.

I bought one used it OMG fits the hand perfectly has enough weight in the knife to cut through anything and it’s as sharp as can be so I turned around and 3 more for children. Rarely does the buyer get true quality at a reasonble price but that is the case with Matsato knives. only minor sharpening twice in 12 months of solid use and then it was a few swipes on the Matsato supplied stone. In fact I think they are so good I've bought others for our kitchen and gifts for the family.

Purchased 3 knives Xmas 2025. The one I kept for myself is ok, needs lots of sharpening, but today, 2 months in, the rear of the handle clicked. It's starting to come loose. Look these are cheap Chinese knives but that's rediculous. Don't but one.

Wow I've had Matsato knife for a couple of months now and its such an awesome accessory in the kitchen. I try and use it every time I'm preparing meals, so easy to cut meat whether its frozen or fresh, even all veges are no match for this knife.
