Absolute garbage the only thing good on this thing that’s salvageable is the chain and probably the bar. You need to be a constant gym member and constantly on a rowing machine pulling 50 kg to be able to start this thing. This thing is not for the average gardener. Trying to start it will likely give you muscle spasm in your arm or worth a heart attack. This is my last Aldi too. I will never buy anything to related or electrical from them ever again. I could not leave no stars I had to leave one star this thing deserves -5 and probably more.

Follow-up  · Warranty is useless. The saw has so much compression it nearly rips your fingers off when it kicks back when trying to start it. It leaks chain oil and it stutters when running if you are lucky enough to start it

Purchased in at ALDI for $199.

Great little saw – Bought this chainsaw a while ago as a backup to my 2 stroke chainsaw. Took me a while to figure out the starting procedure when cold. Took it up into the bush to get some firewood today, and.......absolutely fantastic saw. Starts easily, cuts great and excellent on fuel. Nice and light and the tensioner adjustment is the best of any saw I've owned. Only downside is the oiling for the chain leaks a bit when sitting.

Purchased in at ALDI for $199.

Garbage – Never ran right from the day I bought it. Kicks back when starting and near rips your fingers off. It misses and farts and barely runs good enough to cut a fence railing. It cuts out won't idle half the time and needs restarting hurting your hands. Many items ive aquired from Aldi have failed miserably Should of bought a husky

Purchased in at ALDI for $199.

Easy start & Powerful – This 4 Stroke Chainsaw is simply brilliant! Starts easy, NO SMOKE, runs unleaded fuel with low fuel consumption and low noise Don't waste your time with overpriced smokey/noisy stihl nonsense, this 4 STROKE is the real deal

Excellent for $199 – Model : Ferrex 4 stroke Bar : Oregon 16" Price : $199 Ok after using my stihl 4 stroke for many years and if i recall paying excess of $700 at the time i decided for the hell of it to buy the Aldi Ferrex 4 stroke ( with the intention to use it for camping ). It is a great little saw which gets the job done. what i did notice it uses the engine oil as bar oil so watch the oil levels. It cuts clean and is a good size ( easy 2 handle ) it does not have the grunt of a stihl saw but it is very very capable of getting the jobs done around the farm / bush etc. Over all

Ease of use 9/10 Price 10/10 cutting 8/10 Well worth the money. if you dont want to spend BIG $$$$ on a top brand saw.

Purchased in for $199.
