My machine is year old and it’s trying to spin but won’t and water is left and it’s lighting up and able to select a cycle but then it passes out and has error 21 they told me to empty the filter which I did and still nothing and it rattles like nails are in it
The first and biggest let down from Aldi – Purchased from aldi a month ago or there about. Shakes so bad during spin cycle I wouldn't dare stack the dryer on top. Doesn't dispense the napisan from dispenser into the load even when prewash selected. (Photo included just taken after load with prewash selected) Rinse and spin/drain is hit and miss. One load will come out dry enough to go in… Read more
dryer, next 4 loads will require a respin even though original load was put on Max spin. Doesn't rinse properly. Use same detergent I always have with my front loader, selected extra rinse and still left with suds (see photo) Spend the extra $ and buy something decent peoples. There's no water or electricity savings to be made with the high ratings when you have to rewash because the soap hasn't gone in or respin due to it not draining the water properly or re'rinse due to it not rinsing. This is like a government saying they gonna give you $50 to put towards your bills, then your bills go up buy $50.
great front loader – using a top loader all my life, this front loader washes so well & easy to use! Show details
Have had really good reliability from Stirling front loader machines – Bought this machine after having an earlier Stirling front loader model for 12 years with zero problems. So far so good with this machine too. Very quiet (apart from when the drain pump runs). This one doesn’t allow you to add extra water but it seems to do an ok job automatically. And you can’t permanently change the default spin speeds of 800… Read more
rpm, so have to manually dial up extra spin speed every wash if you want that (two or three button presses). Otherwise an excellent machine.
Steer clear of the Stirling washing machine – Pause button does not work. Instead it turns off the machine. It’s noisy and thumps. It does not spin well. Towels and sheets are still heavy and damp. Show details
Washes well but missing part in detergent drawer? – Washes well but I find the compartment with the washing liquid seems to be missing a small blue part. When I pour my laundry liquid into the wash compartment it flows directly out the back and doesn’t stay in the detergent drawer like the softener in the softener area. It shows a small part in the manual for cleaning the drawer but seems to be missing it in the drawer when I got it? Show details
When I wash towels or sheets in my front loader it overflows with suds from the detergent drawer. Why does that happen? – Everyday clothes, towels, sheets. Satisfied with how it cleans and cycle times
Yet to see – So......I was thinking of purchasing a Stirling 10 KG washing machine on sale, from Aldi as of this Saturday. As with many purchases I have made over the years I decided it was important to look into the availability of servicing and spare parts as a contingency in case of future breakdowns. I rang up Stirling customer support to find out if they… Read more
had a business in Toowoomba that would service the machine in case even a small part been needed such as a switch, drive belt etc. The problem is....................they could'nt or would'nt answer the question for me! Now, when you purchase something of moderate or high value you would naturally expect some kind or assurance of support both for immediate or future complications, this was not given with my phone call to the suppliers of Stirling Appliances Australia this morning. Well...............considering the response, I am left having to seriously evaluate the intended purchase while comparing parts availability with the larger companies such as those serviced by Electrolux Australia (Westinghouse, Simpson etc) who have long established service agents in the Toowoomba area.
Dissapointed the company didnt come fix it within 3yr warranty and gave refund instead. Not happy – After the wash cycle it was emptying the water but kept making sump sound like it was trying to completely empty the water and never went to spin cycle. Company reckon they had already sent guy to fix it but thats crap. They said it needed a service based on the error code I gave them then said it wasnt worth it to them to send somebody to service it even though it was under warranty. Will never buy from aldi again. Useless – Bought this machine in December worst move I’ve made. Have to continually respin all loads, I never over load. Today’s 2 bath mats and 4 tea towels, on the 4th spin for the second half ,I had to empty out half the load to get anything spun . USELESS only gave it one star because you can’t leave any lower Show details
My washing machine won't stop shaking – Washing machine shaking violently. It has been levelled but still jumps around violently when spinning, to the point where it jumps across the room pulling the hose out. Anyone had the same issue and managed to fix it? Show details
It won’t stop shaking and moving – The wash is decent, but no matter how low I put the spin setting on, it won’t stop vibrating and moving. I bought so many different types of anti-shock pads and nothing will make it stop shaking and moving. Every time it’s on the spin cycle, especially the last 20 minutes, I have to physically and strenuously push it back or it will shake and move all over the place. Show details
10kg Front Load Washing Machine from Aldi/Stirling – Four months in and loving it! A 10kg machine for $499 and 1400rpm spin speed with good looks thrown-in:-) It is a heavy machine to transport but it's super stable on the spin cycles because of that. No house shake to deal with, I bought anti-vibration pads for the feet but returned them as they were unnecessary. Clean, bright clothes all on cold… Read more
water. I only wish that a couple of the programs were more adjustable and the 1400 spin speed didn't leave the clothes scrunched up although this isn't an issue on the 1200 spin speed. A new wi-fi model (STR-FLW 10 W) is soon available from Aldi with a better Energy rating, still with 3 year's warranty...awesome.
Terrible. Do not Buy – Had it for 1 month and the seal broke/tore. Now can't use it as water leaks everywhere. Poor quality, waiting to hear back from warrant team about repair or replacement Show details
