Workzone Titanium 24V Cordless Hammer Drill

WorkZone Is Not The Bargain You Are Looking For – Bought an ALDI WORKZONE drill about two years ago. As I recall it was a package with charger and battery. After only light household use - a few dozen times at most, the keyless chuck loosens itself, which requires interrupting the job to retighten, and now the charger has died. When purchased I’m sure it was advertised as a three year warranty,… Read more

but now ALDI say one year, so it isn’t covered. Really terrible product, terrible customer service, unreliable and untrustworthy. Seems like a bargain when you buy it, but when you have to buy a replacement two years later, not so much. Last time I buy any electronic tools from ALDI.

Burn out – Worked fine for a while, then noticed it would not turn, but the light was on, tried reverse , worked for a second, flicked back to clockwise, then smoke started coming out of this drill ! So it's stuffed.

VERY DISAPPOINTED, Battery life is shocking, may as well throw drill, batteries and charger in the bin – Aldi should replace this drill combo with a better quality than the Workforce Titanium 24-volt, battery life is absolutely very very poor, may as well chuck the Drill, batteries and Charger in the bin after less than 12 months

battery issue – Spare battery similar to another review would not charge up when I came to use it some months later. After disassembly, I found electronic circuitry connected to various cell groups. Some of the cells had become out of step requiring individual charging. Now OK, but that would be beyond the average customer. The drill has performed very well for… Read more

4.5 years with only a recent chuck seizure that has been freed although I broke the chuck retaining machine screw (M6 x 16mm LH CSK) in the process. The chuck has been used with drill bits from <1mm to 13mm, impact & diamond core drill bits.

battery disappointment – I bought a Workzone titanium 24v lithium ion cordless drill with hammer action about 18 months ago from ALDI. It came with 2 batteries. I have been using the drill infrequently on the first battery. Recently I endeavoured to use the second battery. This battery would charge for one to two minutes then would indicate that it was fully charged. When… Read more

installed in the drill it would operate for only 30 seconds. Whilst I only wanted a replacement battery under warranty, I have been advised that this is a discontinued item.

Cheap but good value - you get a bit more than you pay for – This is for the black skin - brushless drill [no hammer feature] Recently bought an Aldi / workzone 20v cordless brushless drill. Yep....I already have too many drills but I couldn't pass up the Aldi clearance bin. This drill works with the 20v batteries sold by Aldi. Installing and removing the battery is pretty easy. My preference is to use at… Read more

least the 4AmpHour battery with the digital power level display. While this is a bit heavier than the 1.5ah battery, it provides significantly more work time. It has a keyless chuck, this works OK. The soft button forward/ reverse is something different. I haven't really challenged the drill to determine its durability. A small globe lights up part of the work area - but not particularly well. 21 speed settings and 2 speed gear control provides too many options to use. My guess is most will leave it at max speed, and occasionally drop it to a lower setting. So far so good. But I do have a small complaint. The drill comes with a belt clip you install once you remove the drill from the box. Then you curse this as you get close to cutting your finger when removing the battery. It also protrudes below the drill skin (No battery installed) making it awkward to stand the drill upright. The solution???? No prizes for guessing this....don't install the belt clip until you need it. Overall a good addition for the average handyman, and great value considering the 5 year warranty. Recommended for general use.

Dead after a few months. Failed design – Bought this as my 2nd drill, so I didn't need to change bits (I've Makita drills). The first use, the drill toppled forward & broke the drill bits.... then realized, the thing is poorly designed. Unbalanced. Front heavy. Broke several bits. Need to put it down very carefully so it won't topple. Frustrating. Last week, the thing stopped working.… Read more

Dead. Swapped battery, it worked... Then died again. Did this several time (changing battery to revive the bloody thing). Then, it died. Won't restart. So returned it for refund today.

Yeaaa, get what I paid for ($80).... But didn't expect it to be so poorly designed and short life.
