Aligned Corporate Residences Kew

Aligned Corporate Residences should not be advertised as 5 star accommodation – Let me start with the positives. 1. The people working on reception have always been unfailingly polite and helpful 2. The building is situated in an ideal location. It is extremely close to a large supermarket and the main shopping street in Kew, with Cafes and Restaurants on the doorstep. Public transport into the city is also just a few steps away. 3. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, the carpet was questionable.

As the building is in one of the most convenient locations in Kew, my family have stayed there 3 times in total. However, you need to be warned that there is no lift and if you are staying on the second level, it means you will have to struggle with your luggage up several sets of stairs. This time we also incurred an injury. The front door handles are wedged too close to the door frames and as the door closes it is very easy to catch your fingers if you are holding the door handle. I have an injury which I am still nursing. There was blood and I had to find bandaids and clean myself before I could go out. A written warning on the door may have prevented this injury.

We were in unit 6 and the sofa was badly stained so we had to drape a sheet over it, in order to make use of it. The cushions were all old and slightly grubby looking, the carpet was also in need of a deep clean. The cushions should be replaced or put away, because there’s no way you would use them. The cutlery drawers had tea stains on them, and the actual cutlery was so disgustingly old that we bought new items that were needed for our use. There were no serrated knives anyway, and only one huge knife with a couple of other old plastic utensils. Forget using the oven as it had an old metal baking dish which had not been cleaned properly. The only way we managed was to eat out for all meals. This spoiled our time there and we will not be returning despite the convenient location. The other important factor to note is that this is no way a 5 star property. Their promotional photos look great but they are not the reality which will confront you. I will attach a couple of photos taken in May, 2023.
