various locations we had identified ahead of time that included Mt. Everest flight, Taj Mahal and tiger and leopard sightings in Ranthambore National Park among others. All of the major locations in New Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Pushkar, Jodpur and Udaipur as well as 4 days in Katmandu. 4 and 5 star hotels, local guides in all locations plus a dedicated English speaking driver who was outstanding. Get Satish Kumar if you can! Tremendous value proposition that included internal air flights and breakfasts in all hotels. Everything happened exactly as planned which hardly ever happens. of the sights. We were able to visit the train and floating markets, as well as the flower market. We even learned how to fold a lotus blossom. Pat made sure we were comfortable and well hydrated. The weather and my bad knee were never a problem. I could fill many pages with my appreciation of the amazing experience of Bangkok. The Chatrium Hotel was a great choice. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. The view was magnificent, as was the food in their restaurant. Chaing Mai was my favorite part of the trip because of our guide Nalin Vicky. She met us at the airport with a smile and cold water. Vicky"s English and communication skills were exemplary. She also made sure we saw, and understood everything important in Chang Mai. One of the highlights of our whole trip has to be the Elephant Park. Interacting with the elephants in a safe, educational setting was wonderful. We will cherish our experience with the elephants, as well as the staff. The Hotel RatiLana Riverside Spa was good, not great. I felt as if we were not in the nicer section of the hotel. Most of the staff were wonderful. The hotel was riverside, but we had no view. The room was oddly cramped, with no space to unpack. Phuket was the beach town I was really looking forward to. This was the disappointing part of our trip. The hotel was not a good location. Even tho we had a sea view, there was a highway in front, next to cliffs. I was looking forward to sitting on a nice beach for the relaxing part of the trip. The cars you arranged were nice, comfortable and air conditioned. The drivers were all safe and kind. Everyone we encountered, were most understanding of my mobility issues. You chose excellent people to work with. The guides meeting us as we exited the airport, and staying with us to help navigate the airport to security was a tremendous help. Further, with the huge amount to see, the tour guides effort to steer us towards and explain important items at each location was so much appreciated - otherwise it could have easily been overwhelming trying to see everything (whether relevant and important or not). Egypt can be a challenging place to visit due to language and culture issues, not to mention the traffic and crowds - Odynovo really made a tremendous difference to eliminating any stress and ensuring that we had only great memories. The sites and activities were well-chosen and rewarding. We were surrounded with care from start to finish.
A special shout-out goes to two exceptional guides. Ali Galal (Lower Egypt sites) was extremely knowledgeable and clearly conveyed the exceptional ancient history of Egypt to us. In addition, for more modern history, we were enriched by his clear and concise explanation of the Islamic religion allowing us to understand its precepts as we visited mosques in Cairo. Ahmed Saber (Aswan and Luxor) shared his tremendous expertise about sites in upper Egypt, ending with a magical evening tour of his hometown Luxor in an hour long carriage ride through the city. Both guides had excellent language skills and were very personable, making us feel like they were friends as well as historians. Another special shout-out goes to our drivers, particularly Taha, who knew Cairo like the back of his hand and handled the city’s crazy traffic like a pro. His skill allowed us to travel smoothly from busy downtown Giza to the smallest village in the countryside.
Our Odynovo tour went without a single major problem. At no time during the entire 20 days in Egypt did we feel unsafe or uncertain. When changes to the planned itinerary were necessary due to a dust storm in Luxor, alternative activities were quickly arranged and implemented. A last-minute domestic flight change was handled by Odynovo managers and communicated not only to us but to our guides and drivers so all ensured we made our flight. We were greatly impressed with the value we got from the price of the trip, and enjoyed the personal attention that only a private tour could give. We will definitely be exploring more of the world, and will put Odynovo on the top of our list for tour companies. We have already recommended this group to many of our friends.

She coordinated guides for each city to pick and drop them off so they were always taken care of and I felt at ease knowing they were in such good hands. She also sent a very detailed itinerary beforehand so that you know what to expect and was happy to customize anything you liked. While they were on their tour in China, the service didn't end there. Laura continued to follow up with me to let me know their status and aided us with questions or concerns. My parents felt safe the whole time and knew they could contact Laura with anything. We had an incident with one tour guide and within the hour, Laura found a new guide to take over just to make my parents feel more comfortable. Needless to say, the service was extremely professional, just outstanding. The guides in each city were amazing, the itinerary was exciting and planned well, the overall experience was just incredible. I'd like to thank Anna Yeung in Hong Kong for going the extra mile to help us. Not only is she a great tour guide, but I had forgotten something in our hotel after leaving, and she went to the hotel and tried her hardest to ship it to me! She's amazing. Fred in Taipei might have been one of the most knowledgeable guides I have ever had! He is patient as he shares his wisdom, experience, and facts. it was a perfectly planned and executed trip. Odynovo selected a delightfully enriching variety of activities for our private group, everything from must-see historical site visits and walks through breathtaking landscapes to personalized intimate experiences with locals (two highlights were a cooking class in local lady's home in Xi'an and a private fan-making class in a real fan artist's beautiful workshop in Yangshuo). We truly got a feel for Chinese culture and the special flavors of each of the many regions we visited. In addition, the logistics of the trip were coordinated so seamlessly that we hardly noticed all the work that must have gone into it. We had a different guide waiting for us in every city (Rooney in Shanghai, Kurt in Beijing, Shannon in Xi'an, Henry in Chengdu, Michelle in Zhangjiajie, and Heidi in Guilin). That meant they had specialized knowledge only a local would have, about local customs, culture, restaurants, shopping, shortcuts in busy areas, and everything in between--much better than traveling with the same guide around the whole country. Our guides were ALL exceptional, spoke great English, and were true teachers of Chinese history and culture. More importantly, they were warm, kind, patient, and friendly people who were passionate about their work, loved sharing their cities with us, and went out of their way to make our experience in China special. We never had to worry about anything. They were all so professional, detail-oriented and personable that we fully trusted them and their leadership; it's extremely easy to travel with that kind of support, especially in a country where very few people speak English. The drivers selected for our trip were also superb, always punctual, always helpful and friendly, and every one of their cars was spacious and comfortable for our group of three. We loved discovering China with Odynovo and can't wait to return one day and explore even more of this wondrous country's regions. One piece of advice I would offer to future groups is to do as we did and pay a little extra for the upgrade to first class on the trains (it's not a huge price difference and the comfort level is much higher). Also, do NOT purchase the hot food on the trains... After trying and enjoying all sorts of foods all over the country, the only issue we had was with the hot train food on the very last train. Finally, we opted to book the hotels ourselves, and we are glad we did. I'm sure Odynovo would also pick great hotels, but this way we had a little more control over the experiences we would have in our down time after the day's planned activities. With a little research and some sifting through reviews and ratings, locations, pictures, etc, you can find great affordable hotels on China's main hotel reservation app and even some western apps.
I would recommend this company without hesitation, especially the travel agent Joy and every guide chosen for our group. Just to wrap up, I'll mention one last example of their excellence... Before the trip, I told Joy one of our goals and priorities was to try local food at great local restaurants, where local people like to go, and not tourist traps. We were in China for three weeks, and at every stop our guides seemed to know that was our wish and made a point of taking us to eat at great local spots. A piece of information, which could have easily been ignored or missed by another, less careful and attentive agent or company, became one of the themes of our trip and one of the reasons we have fallen in love with China.

Nile cruise. What an incredible first class experience. I see why Forbes rated it #1 Nile Cruise in the world. We saw all of the major sites and temples (Philae Temple, Kom Ombu, Temple of Horus, Valley of the Kings, Luxor and Karnak Temples, Temple of Hathor, Hatshepsut and more) in Egypt before heading to the Oberoi Sahl Hasheesh Beach Resort on the Red Sea. I was impressed with their house reef snorkeling and was delighted to see such a healthy reef system. Our trip ended back in Cairo with a visit to the old Egyptian Museum. From start to finish, Odynovo provided exceptional service with airport helpers, private guides, and drivers. Each of our guides taught us so much about the history and culture and they were all very passionate about Egypt. Everything worked flawlessly, our private guides were excellent, the five-star hotels were fantastic. Every day was well planned, every day the guides and drivers were waiting for us at our hotel. At the end of each day the guides informed us of what was planned for the following day and asked us if the itinerary was fine with us. They escorted us through the gates at the airports making sure we were booked and the reserved seats were as we selected. They were very knowledgeable, friendly, attentive and they took good care of us. [ Hanoi - Mr. Tuan; Hue, Hoi An - Thuong; Siem Reap - Daling; Saigon - Ben]. The drivers were experienced and clearly possessed steel nerves.
The entire process was awesome from the initial planning working with Shelly who answered very promptly all my questions to last minute changes while in Saigon.

After that we were taken by Ms Lisa, who was extremely comprehensive in her stories about all of china's history. She told us about he major events which shaped Chinas past, while showing up both the historical terracotta army and the modern day open markets of Xi'An.
Out third guide was Mr David in Guilin. He immersed us into the nature of China and made out stay both relaxing and full of breathtaking landscapes. Thanks to his directions and suggestions we went through some local cooking classes, bicycling, and experienced a wonderful night show in the rivers if Yangshuo.
Our last guide was Mr Mark in Shanghai. He was very friendly and broight us across the modern city of Shanghai. He also was very supportive in our bargains with he local sellers. A small suggestion I have for this particuyguide is that he validates his information. He was very talkative, which brought to the friendly atmosphere, but several times he shared incorrect information (hotel ammentinites, history, food allergens).
Overall we were very satisfied with our trip. The organization was extremely good and all the stays and transportation was in very good condition. The only place I can suggest improvements is the van we were transported with across Shanghai (which was a little smelly), but I believe this can be fixed with a quick deep cleaning procedure.
All drivers were also very good at their job, prioritizing our comfort and safety in all parts of the trip.
