Brilliant product – Update: the filter will last around 6 months in WA. DEFINITELY tested as Hydrogen with pH 8.plus PH drops as the filter gets full. Water tastes fine. Although I am filtering rainwater through winter anyway. But as for alkaline, I have had it for 8 months and recently tested the pH and found it was at 7, not really alkaline as it should be at 8-9 if it’s Alkaline Hydrogen water. Water, Purchased Bottle Water, Restaurant Water....I'm sorry....But NOTHING competes with Alkaway Ultrastream.

The water filter thus far has been amazing. Easy to install, very easy - benchtop. Less than 2 minutes. Waited for water the black water (carbon im guessing) to go through for the first 10mins or so.

Then tried it, felt amazing with in a minute. Can't get enough of it.

Now i live with 3 skeptics on this water. 1 is still skeptical and doesn't like the taste (tastes like river water). The other 2 though also love it and hated to admit that they actually feel healthier and better.

Have also used the water for coffees in the morning and the coffees taste better.

So taste and health feeling wise great.

Will update after a month.

Great filter – I have just received my new filter for this product. The website tells you the specifics of how much heavy toxins, bacteria it removes. I mainly bought it because of the claim to remove 99% of the chlorine and 78% of the fluoride. the water. I would love to see an independent test done but I can definitely not smell the chlorine like I can out of the tap. It also claims, among other things, to alkalize the water to a higher and less acidic Ph level. I tested my tap water PH at 7.2 and the filtered water at 9. The odd thing it has actually raised the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) from 185 to 210. I have performed this test a few times and the result is always the same. This is different to the Physicochemical testing parameters on their website. I filter water for kettle, drinking and cooking and find the taste excellent. I fill plastic bottles to take to work or car trips. It is quite expensive at $650 and each new filter $250. There is not much to the non filter element of this product so hard to justify the difference there. Overall, I do love this product. I also have bought from this company a portable jug , 'Filter 2 Pure' that is more portable to take with you on your travels.

$500 for a cheap piece of plastic, what a sham – They charge you a ton of money for a cheap piece of plastic they call a housing. The water taste horrible, tap water actually taste better. tag for a few piece of plastic, don't fall this like I did!. I eventually sold my unit on Facebook for $40 and I felt like i was ripping the person off, still they saved themself $460...

Plastic safety? – I’m not feeling sure about the plastic components if water is touching it. With all the hormone disrupting chemicals in plastics this doesn’t sit well with me. I wish the filter was glass.

Replacement cartridge breaks the bank – There are many amazing water filters out there and Alkaway Ultrastream is definitely on par with really good water quality but to replace the cartridges every year for AUD 270 dollars is crazy!

Best water filter! – Water tastes so much better when filtered with the UltraStream. Easy to install the above bench system and quick to use. Best customer service as well! expensive bottled water and filtered tap water . My water before filter was boarder line acidic, after running it through the filter it went to about a 9.5 on the scale which is really good. The bottled expensive water was about a 8. When you drink this filtered water you can really tell the difference, drinking 2L of water per day is no longer a chore. Trust me. Just buy it. extremely well engineered and manufactured, not a single drop/ leak detected throughout the entire under sink area. The faucet leaks very slowly (inaudible) as a result of residual pressure after a pour, once the pressure is released it stops. The water quality is of a very high standard and is highly alkaline (PH 9), Ive done PH measurements immediately after each new filter was installed and both were identical, PH tester comes with the original kit. I'll also be doing more intermittent tests monthly this time around to check the PH quality as the filter gets used. Taste wise Id have to say It's exceptionally good, absolutely love it. No taste of chlorine at all. The company also send notifications by email to inform you when the filter is coming up to it's 12 month changeover. All in all I'm very happy with this system, many guests have also commented positively on the water quality so I'm not speaking from a biased position. If i had to buy another system again, it would be the UltraStream hands down.

Cant live without it anymore – One of the best filters in terms of ‘value for money.’ Our water now tastes so much better & it feels so much lighter & easier to drink. It is well worth having. Also very fast delivery and great customer service.

Tank Water – Hi, We are on tank water and have had the UltraStream for a couple of years and it tastes wonderful. Our tank is about 20 years old, perhaps Lori W needs to clean her pipes or tank. Tastes terrible – I have an under sink Ultrastream and it tastes terrible from day one. I am on tank water and did explain this at the time of purchase. I also have two filters at the water tanks before our drinking water gets to the Ultrastream. We change these filters every 6 months.  Show details

Ok – I've been using it for four years now. No faults so far and customer service is top notch. One of the earlier replacement filter I had was bad and broke. The company replaced it immediately. The only problem I have is that the rubber at the bottom of the unit (to prevent slipping) gets loose easily  Show details

Expensive but brilliant – I have had my Ultrastream for a 18 months and still have not replaced my filter (they recommend every 12 months), I did the ph test yesterday and still alkaline and still tasting great. system hence the price. If you had to buy water because of bad tasting water then it will pay itself off. Other options to compare with would be Waters Co Filters which are also expensive but sound good. Don't hesitate to get in contact with Alkaway they have great customer service and are very helpful. When I bought my Alkastream I had trouble connecting it to the tap of my rental house (because it is old house) and they sent me adaptors free of charge, I was very impressed and thankful. Not many filters get the flouride out and if you really care about your health you don't want to drink it. Many countries have banned it but unfortunately Australia still insists on putting this poison in our water. There is lots of research so check it out.

Excellent non-electric mineral water ionizer – I recognize this product by a Facebook link, it is a mineral water ionizer without electricity. Very easy to install. The taste is very very good. It removes out chlorine and fluoride, very good product. We enjoy it really a lot. Thank you very much AlkaWay. Hope you could bring us more excellent water filters.

It makes alkaline water. It filters out fluoride, chemicals, heavy metals and more.

All I can say is don't trust Chinese made filters as my experience was bad!

filter that removes all the modern nasties I was concerned about, they have Aussie Lab tests to prove it, and they had it made in the USA, not China.

So it cost more than the cheapy Chinese things you see in the health food places. The way I look at it is.. would I drink bottled water if it was bottled in China? No. So why would I drink water from a Chinese water filter?

Here's the thing that knocked me over. UltraStream actually adds hydrogen into the water. They even had it tested by sending UltraStream to a US lab. Hydrogen, apparently, is hugely beneficial to our health in many, many ways. Anyway, all I know if I feel good, my missus tells me I look good, and yes, I do think the water has a bit to do with it.

Oh yes, last thing. I just won't drink any other water now.

The Ultrastream has made me a water snob! – Yes, I admit it, I am a water snob thanks to my Ultrastream. I can't go anywhere without my Ultrastream water. Once you've tried it there is no going back to tap water. Tap water just tastes foul to me now. like other water filters that just take out some of the nasty chemicals. It actually takes out almost all the nasties plus puts in amazing health giving alkaline minerals. I also love that I have it installed under my sink so that I don't need a bulky filter on top of my bench. My kids love drinking Ultrastream water and have become water snobs too.
