Regular water filters like Brita or similar filters use bleach and have chemicals in the filter itself.They also don’t come close to the benefits of Vitel water and those magnesium beads. Two years on and no issues, water crisp as ever and I honestly never buy plastic water bottles, any filters of any sort or drink from the tap anymore. For a one off cost of $150 you can have amazing quality water forever. would trial with that. Upon receiving the little bag of beads I followed instructions and waited…. Ina day or two the water had a bit of a strange taste. Thankfully I had read a gazillion reviews and knew this was normal but I was a little worried the water would always have a taste like this. I fed the water to my indoor plants and continued to top up and test it. By the end of 5-7days, the water now tasted amazing, in that it had no taste but had a silky mouth feel that made you want to drink more, and my plants had so much new growth!!!! I found a ceramic urn on Market place and we have been enjoying amazing water for months now. I am on rain water and have now purchased the water tank floats to treat my whole tank so I can bathe in this water and reduce the algae growth that comes when water sits in the shower. I have got my family on to vitel water now too and even my sceptical 89yo father agreed the water is quite amazing, and has a bag himself. Greg was very helpful and responsive and is highly knowledgeable. I appreciate he is providing an affordable product which will greatly help peoples health and with no ongoing cost. I am adding a URL that may be able to answer some of the questions that some purchasers of the Vitel Water Set have had concerns about. I have now owned my set for over 2 years and hubby and I have been so impressed with the ongoing quality of the water and stand by this product 100%.

Of course, because I can be a bit anal, I clean it every 6 months, the first clean certainly showed a fair amount of a crust on the inside of the pot that only required a good old scrub with a gentle scourer and was good as new. I followed the care instructions and soaked the bags in water with absolutely no evidence of discolouration or smell, but did it anyway. The following 6 months, no scale, crust or anything! I suppose it would have a lot to do with the hardness/quality of the water in a particular region but, we would not consider ever going back to bottled or cask water and now that this product is available, who would want to be paying those ridiculous prices for systems that require monthly, expensive filter changes?

I have read some comments from people that wish for an understanding as to where the impurities go and my belief is that the crust that forms on the inside of the receptacle of which is to be cleaned at least twice a year, is where they lodge and become benign, (not sure if that's the term, but that is how I interpret it). P.S. My experience with Greg over 2 years ago, after receiving a smashed Vitel Pot by poor handling from the delivery process was MOST professional, friendly and helpful. Greg requested a photo of the damaged item of which is most appropriate to ask for in a business, I felt awful for him that a product had been ruined but my concerns were unnecessary, I was advised that another was on its way, received, opened, using now and will never look back. Not what they claim – We have been using vitel water beads for drinking water for approximately 6 months now and we just recently added beads to our swim spa. At first he claimed it was my testing so we obtained a test kit from alkaway just as greg suggested, when the results were the same he sent us another liquid regent from a different manufacturer with no instructions. When I asked about the instructions not being included he told me to use the alkaway color chart with a Taylor’s liquid regent after looking at Taylor’s web site the regent he sent is not compatible with the color chart from alkaway like greg claimed. If used the way he says I would have obtained a false reading. Not ready to call him a complete fraud but I’m getting close.

Anyway, the good news is that I found the Vitel water set and, based on the good reviews and the very reasonable price, I bought it. I got a delivery a couple of days later and was ready to go in no time. The water tasks silky smooth and I actually enjoy drinking it. I watered some plants on my windows and one of them (which has never flowered before), quickly blossomed. There is definitely something to this product. I saw the results posted on the website and it does reduce fluoride in the water - yay!

I do not understand the science behind it, but this system definitely does 'something' and that something greatly improves the taste and mouth feel of the water.

I did a blind test with my initially dubious partner. Without hesitation, he chose the Vitel water over the tap water and has been drinking it ever since. I use it exclusively for our baby bottles when making formula and for our pets too.

The water from my Vitel Water set is delicious and I highly recommend this product.

My teenage son was completely sceptical so tested it by leaving his Invisalign in the water to see what would happen. His invisalign became completely clean, something tap water does not do, so now he is careful to drink Vitel water whenever he can. It is so great to know we are drinking water that is free of flouride and chlorine and what's more, is full of magnesium. I am sure it makes our cooking taste better - rice has a whole new flavour cooked in this water, and so do soups and stews. I wanted to get alkaline strip tests but for some reason the ones I have dont seem to work. I would like to return just the beads and probably not worry about the dispenser. Vitel Water Owner: Hi, please send me your address and I will send a tester for you to test the pH. The water will come right. What I suggest now is to get some cheap spring water from the supermarket and empty pot to 2 litres left then fill with the spring water. Wait 4 hours after filling then start using. For the next couple of days when you take water out you put water back in from the tap. So if you have a glass of water you put a glass of water back in, if you fill your kettle you top it back up.. After a few days of doing this you will be able to then use the water as per instructions.

Me: Before getting into all that, Can you pls confirm that its safe to drink this water. Any studies that have shown that its safe to replace drinking water with this water. I dont feel confident of replacing water with vitel water.

Vitel Water Owner: The beads dont add anything to the water except oxygen, which a pH tester will confirm that the beads are working. The water is 100% safe as it is tap water. The beads are restructuring the tap water.

Me: Still doesnt answer my question. Has someone certified that it is safe to drink this water.

Vitel Water Owner: There is test results on our website done by Australian laboratory services. We have also tested at southern cross universities in NSW. Vitel water started through the Government on the new enterprise insensitive scheme. Everything stated on our website complies with the ACCC. The government dont help to start a business without it meeting the guidelines set out be the ACCC. The water is 100% safe.

Me: The test results only talk about ph levels, etc. Even antacids would have high PH with magnesium content that doesnt mean you can replace drinking water with antacids. Not sure what would the PH test would prove. I'm already agreeing that PH would probably be high but I dont like the taste of it or I'm not confident of drinking this water on regular basis. Finally after much discussion on phone, he texts me the address I need to return the beads to. No shipping is paid. I had to pay $15 off my pocket to ship it back. No instructions on how to return etc were provided.

Vitel Water Owner: Hi , we received the beads back from you. Attached is photos of what you sent. You put the insert in with wet bags and the ink has run into the beads from the insert. This has stained the beads and with the beads being porous it doesn't wash off. This has destroyed the beads that are affected.

Calls me couple of times but I didnt want any more discussion on this. Wanted this closed out.

Vitel Water Owner: We have processed the return and we will refund $75 back to your account (instead of the 90$ after losing the extra $50 for the )

I ll let you decide if I feel lucky. It was unprofessional of him to not accept the beads back and after so much persistence he doesn't even provide proper details of return the goods. I was always looking for something else and for years I delayed buying because I didn't find find what I was looking for - a system that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to purchase and to maintain and which produces beautifully clean tasting, alkaline water with proven fluoride, chlorine and bacteria reduction - that is until 2 years ago, when my mother-in-law brought my attention to the Vitel water system on ebay.

When I looked into this system, it seemed too good to be true!! It was everything I was looking for all these years! I instantly purchased it and even got my family and some friends to buy it too (they're all still as happy with the product as I am). BEST DECISION EVER!!!! Low initial cost and NO ongoing maintenance costs! And I LOVE the taste of the water! It's actually enjoyable to drink and it makes me feel so happy knowing that my kids are drinking the healthiest water possible. I even use it in cooking, making tea / coffee....everywhere!!

I did test the PH of the water as well and it was exactly as the company claimed - higher alkalinity. Once I even tested the water in comparison to the tap water by boiled both in different pots for a long time, until they reduced to a glass full of water. The results were amazing!! The Vitel water was beautifully clean compared to the tap water which looked scary - yellow and disgusting, with lots of impurities swimming in it!!

The after purchase customer service is wonderful as well! Greg is always quick to reply and helps out with any questions or enquiries. I've been raving about this product for the past 2 years to everyone and I'm not stopping!

coherent scientific explanations for the processes of transformation. There is no filter other than bags of "beads", so it may be that they do make the water alkaline, and this changes the chemistry, but how can this filter impurities out of the water - certainly not in the way standard filters work where water passes through a semi permeable filter where the spaces are so small larger particles (bacteria, sediment, etc) get filtered out. There is no way I would trust this thing to treat water that may be contaminated by potentially harmful pathogens or bacteria like Giardia. Unless this has been tested I think it is actually negligent of the manufacturer to make claims as they do. The pseudo-science is most certainly dubious, so if you buy one of these systems, make sure you are buying it for its ability to make water alkaline and taste good, but don't expect the miracles it purports.

Best system available! – I was recommended this water filtering system by my best friend. It is a once only cost and tastes great and has all the data to support. It looks great on my kitchen counter and even my 2 year old can fill his water bottle from the easy to use tap. Yummy healthy water every day without the upkeep costs and effort of most systems. I think it's the best water filter on the market – I did tons of research in trying to find the best water filter for us, as tap water is just terrible and bottled water isn't all that great itself. than any water we've had elsewhere (except Savusavu in Fiji, it actually reminds us of the water there!), I also feel better knowing my baby and toddler is getting the best I can give them.

On top of that, the owner of Vitel Water is excellent, is happy to give information and help out in any way he can. I cannot rave enough about this product.

Highly recommend! – We have had our Vitel water dispenser for nearly 4 years and love it! What we really love is that the beads never need changing. normal tap water, the alkaline water produced is very consistent and doesn't change in taste at all.

Will have to wait to see if it is the fountain of youth but can testify that cut flowers and herbs do last a lot longer.
