hole in the kitchen counter top from my existing kitchen tap not being big enough for the Taqua tap) but he drilled a larger hole. Then he also had to chip out some of the inside of the kitchen cabinet as the original tap had been fitted too close to the inside of the cabinet. But he did it and he certainly earned his money that day.

I cannot recommend this water filter enough. My partner was skeptical about the system as she wanted a different system. But now she loves how easy this system is to use, press the button and you have filtered water. Now not only do I and my partner have access to filtered water all day every day, even my dogs do too!

Do yourself a favour and invest in a Taqua T3 kitchen tap. You won't regret it!

system which doesn't use up critical under-sink space. the whole system is in your tap. The filters last approx 3-4 months with a household of 4 people. All the components & filters are made in Japan not China..!!! so your getting quality. It took 15 minutes for a plumber to install so it cost less than $50.00. Ben the TAQUA customers service representative was very helpful & responsive to our needs when we had questions relating to different grades of filters & ordering them. We are also happy to know that they are in Australia for the long term which gives us peace of mind when investing in the TAQUA product.

of where I live anyway. Our mains water comes from an underground aquifer and has a high calc and mineral content. Mains water is treated with chlorine. We use an external water softener, and together with the taqua filter it is a no-fuss fresh tasting water situation in our household.

The functionality is great, as the hose extension is cleverly hidden in the tap itself, but it can be a surprise when you first use the tap to realise just how light weight it is.

My one reservation making it four star, is that the tap is not metal/chromed. It is actually plastic. I understand this makes it light weight and make it much cheaper, and isn't (yet) an aesthetic issue but I am worried it may be int he future when the tap starts to wear. We installed a pricey new kitchen and included this tap and I hope it lasts the distance.

I highly recommend this tap and I almost never bother to do reviews!

love that we always have as much filtered water as we need to drink, cook with, wash veggies /fruit just with a click of a button. I even use it for my more delicate house plants! We just as easily have unfiltered water for washing up etc with another click. Installed the tap ourselves, no need to pay a plumber. Changing the filter also couldn’t be simpler. Absolutely love the choice of spray function. And that the tap is extendable. Such well designed features make it an absolute joy to use.

This filter is amazing and the customer service is soo good – When was the last time you buy a water filter and they make a personalised thank you video just for you to do so. Well this company does it! I am amazed with how good the water filter is and how easy it is to fit it on. Excellent product – This unit was installed in my apartment by the previous owner after a flooding event from a plumbed water filter. The filter cartridges can easily be replaced in a few seconds and can be delivered on a subscription bases, making routine maintenance close to effortless. No more drinking from a dirty filter or calling the plumber to change the filter. The design is highly functional. It swivels, has a handy spray nozzle function and an extendable hose which makes it really easy to rinse dishes. It's reasonably priced and of excellent quality and with a 2-5 year warranty, it gives us peace of mind. Definitely a great purchase!

Use nothing else – We had our tap for just on six months. The water quality has increased from our previous filter system. fill it with filtered water using the extension hose. A conventional fixed filter tap does not allow this. Also, the extension hose works well for washing dishes and flushing out the sink. On the shower setting water can be well controlled and does not splash all over the place. Finally, having experienced many other Japanese products, I am confident this tap will stand the test of time. And it looks great too.

This Taqua T-3 tap filter is water to perfection!! – I have used my Taqua tap for 4 months now and I absolutely love the taste of the water. I have to drink a lot of water due to health conditions and I find I just turn the tap on, push the button, fill up my bottle and turn the tap off, how easy is that? Then it was our turn for nice surprises: the tap has a wide outlet which, even at the maximum pressure, makes no splashes to the surrounding area, the handle design suits different palm sizes, the hose is of ‘logical’ length, not requiring adjustments in the cabinet, but the best was the ease of use of the filter: a single press on the top - and the filter is on and off, with almost invisible drop in the water flow. To complete the picture, I have to add our brief communication with the Customer Services, about the filter replacement schedule. Their extraordinarily cooperative manners in dealing with us, as customers, made a nice complement to the already extraordinary product.

Filtered water leaves a metallic taste in mouth – My first glass of filtered water from our newly installed Taqua had a strong metallic taste which lingered in my mouth the next day, but this is lessening as the days go by. Good filter. But can only buy filter via subscription – I have had this Filter for 6 months now and it seems to work well. It was put in as part of our newly built home. If I could buy a filter, like in a normal shop without going on subscription I would give it 5 stars but the company’s narrow mindedness in the way they sell their product is why I am giving 1 star. I would never have got the water filter if I had known how difficult it is to buy a replacement filter. I have sent emails about this problem but only received emails back about how wonderful a subscription service is without addressing the problem or allowing customers to buying a filter without signing up to their nanny state subscription service.

Best of the Best! – I wish I had known about Taqua Build-in Filtration a long time ago. We had been using a bulky water purifier that was taking up so much space on my small bench top and changing the filter was not my favourite thing to do.
