My experiences with AMP Bank indicate that this is a Bank that gets nothing right. Over a long period simply a litany of errors and bad service. Contacting AMP is a most unrewarding experience. hold whilst the customer service person refers your question elswhere. Recently I changed my address details online. I recieved an SMS from AMP with an autheticating number. I recieved a green light that the matter had been actioned. Not so however as statements are still being issued under my old address. Another 30 minutes on the telephone to sort that one out. They simply are unable to get anything right. It there is a worse Bank on the planet than AMP I am yet to find it.

Wow, is there a negative 5 stars because that's what AMP deserve. Never in my life have I ever come across a more incompetent bank. We have a current home loan with AMP and are in the process of doing a knock down rebuild. AMP have asked on multiple occasions for the same information that we have sent them. progress we get, we need another 48 hrs, we need another 24 hrs, 72 hours. They don't even understand a construction loan asking what funds will pay the remainder of the construction build and who is the bank, read the contract you clowns, it breaks down the payment structure. Please don't bother with AMP, it will only give you grief.

Very bad service. I wanted to refinance to other bank with lower interest rates so they offered me the cash back if I can stayed with them for 03 months. After 03 months, I still don’t have the cash back and I called them. They said that I need to wait another 03 months.

ZERO stars. AMP refused to allow my daughter to open a savings account. Blatant discrimination because she doesn’t have an Australian passport or drivers license. She is a child!! I was told that her NZ passport is not valid because she is an Australian citizen. Tell that to Immigration who allows her to come in and out of Australia on her NZ… Read more

passport. They implied that I was a “bad actor” and that “the account isn’t suitable for how you want to use it.” What a thing to say! Teach your kids to save, they say, but don’t want to pay the interest rates they are offering on savings. What a scam. They said they could not over-ride their computer systems. TERRIBLE

lack technical knowledge, and I’ve wasted hours correcting their mistakes. On one occasion, they even de-linked my offset account from my home loan, which resulted in unfair interest charges.

AMP isn't just bad, it is anomalously bad, and for a bank in Australia that's quite an achievement. Left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and they are impossible to communicate with. A bank that has no branches but refuses to do anything online (insisting on doing everything by mail) or even respond to emails is just useless in this day and age.

My AMP Visa debit card would not work at my supermarket. So I contacted AMP bank and as part of the ID process verification the call taker demanded to know what a third parties BSB and account number is that I transferred funds to, the amount and date? This was before she would assist me. I answered my full name, DOB and address correctly. Pathetic customer service.

Would give zero stars if I could. I have been trying to open an online account for my elderly mother for over 2 months. The whole process has been exhausting and frustrating with being no closer to an account being opened. Impossible to speak with anyone from AMP Australia that has authority to assist or make a decision. I've lost countless… Read more

hours with a call centre that does nothing but apologise and tick boxes with scripted answers. Many emails back and forth with no result other than an automated reply or requesting documents that have already been emailed or posted several times. The call centre say someone will return a call, never do.

So tired of emails from AMP directing you to a usless number or online chat that can not assist or action anything. Why bother telling you they are here to help when clearly they don't know what customer service is.

I'm going to withdraw my own money invested with AMP and put it into another bank. Fed up and frustrated with how difficult this process has been with no results. No wonder AMP shares are preforming so bad.

They might offer a good interest rate but if you need assistance, it's non-existent.

If I could give negative, I would this bank is the worst bank. I've ever bank with they will hold your funds. They'll freeze your money for no reason. The platform, a customer service, is poor they don't know anything. Most of the operations operates out of the Philippines. We have 4 x accounts with AMP. 1 x screen online for all accounts with only 1 x email being able to be associated with AMP. Why then do we get email correspondence on 2 x accounts plus normal advertising emails but the other 2 x accounts send us letters saying our email doesn't work and we have to update the same email??? this is a simple question when calling the overseas call centre to find out why (EG: Is there a security breach?). It turns out that customer service who is having difficulty understanding our question due to the language barrier, cant seem to get an answer and has no clue about the letters existence in their system. Yes we checked all contact numbers & contact details and the letters are from AMP, not a scam. Our email is 11% full so not overflowing. Result to question? No answer available.

Had a really bad experience when i first Joined AMP Bank but with the new app i have had an amazing experience and have switch majority of my banking over to AMP and look forward to what they do next with the app because it is so easy to use and simple and i love the simplicity and ease of use compared to CommBank. Totally incompetent: Asked to break my term deposit, received an e-mail stating "send more information complete COI no forms or links was provided". Called the bank and the operator said that she fixed it and all is good. 2 Days later keep on receiving the same e-mail, replied back to them that i called and it had been sorted out. another e-mail came complete the COI. Called again and the operator said that my request did not progress because i did not complete the COI. I asked what it is and i found out it is stand for Change of Instruction form. Moreover, she said she ca does not guarantee the transfer of my money on the date that the first operator told me.

When he got to the online ID auto check it didnt recognise any form of id, drivers licence, passport, birth certificate...australian born. It generated an application number. 1. arrived. 2. in the same email it said fill in an id form and send if certified copy of primary id. I emailed them back to say, your system didn’t recognise it. Yet he opened a Rabobank the same day and he had no issues. So he filled in the form and made the time to go gets his DL id…. 3. Still no letter as they promised or any confirmation they received his form and id which was sent to their Reply paid address. 4. He rang today and they couldn’t locate the application which their own system generated an application number. 5. did a name search after 10 minutes on hold she said there is a RESTRICTION on your account. WHAT THE HELL. It is a savings account set up on line. She could not tell him anything else. 6.he asked if they had received the forms and id we sent and she couldn’t confirm that either.

What is going on…….He is an 18 year old uni student who simply wants to open a savings account.

can’t reveal the reason and have sent me a snail mail to me telling me I need to get some identification certified before they can unlock them again. Really??? So u can lock the accounts and anytime and stop me from moving my money and u can also do this anytime u want in future without telling me the reason?

Also why weren’t these done before the accounts were approved and opened? Not after u letting me moving ‘000s of dollars in and out and got my money stuck for no valid reason? And now I have to wait for the snail mail to arrive then go to the lawyer, pay the money to get then identification done? And then send it back wait for another week to get the accounts unlocked and get my money out? I wouldn’t have opened the account if u tell me upfront that all these need done.

U can’t approved ppl open accounts, done the transfer, then lock ppl account for not telling reason???

Luckily I have moved out all my money out and left only $2.00 in there so u can keep it and use it to see the doctor. Imagine I have all my ‘000s get stuck in there just wow…

Don’t bother wait for my letter reply just go ahead and close my accounts man worst bank I have ever seen! Don’t bank with these chaps!

HAPPY TO TAKE YOU MONEY- TOO HARD TO GET IT BACK- THE BANK THAT CANT LISTEN AMP BANK – Impossible to deal with when trying to transfer funds for a sporting organsiation to another bank. They made calls to individuals not associated with the account at non bank hours. They hang up when the receiving caller ask questiosn to confirm what they initially felt was a scam, when the Bank representative uses the term "rollover" of money… Read more

from the company.. The account in question was not a company. Call the bank's suspicious to ask if the call was genuine. They had no record of outbound calls made. They could not explain as to why a noin related party was contacted who was not even a current banking customer. Requested investigation. Called to get update on the complaint/ case, again no record. So much so for reporting areas of concerns especailly suspicious calls. time spent on the phone seeking to see where and why funds were not released including areas of concern, with no action over 3 hours. They even stated they had spoken withsomeone as part of their process to have verbal confirmation of funds (another authorised person on the account, only to then say some time later that this was not the case. ONLY USE IF YOU HAVE PLENTY OF TIME TO WASTE. THEY MAKE THE MAJOR FOUR BANKS LOOK BRILLIANT IN TERMS OF CUSTOMER SERVICE.
