Beware, Judo Bank are very sneaky with their loyalty bonus on the term deposit. Firstly you have to hold a term deposit, then reinvest it 2 times for the loyalty bonus to be honoured. They include the loyalty rate in the calculations for the first reinvestment period, but it's only paid if you reinvest it again (thereby locking in your "loyalty").… Read more

Follow-up · Ease of set was a long way better than most institutions, fees for early access were well explained and online access and tools were easy to understand and use.
I chose Judo, because, it had the highest term deposit rates. I have used the term deposits for savings and earning an interest.
Follow-up · The term was for one year but extended for another year and about three different accounts. The online process was very easy after initial phone clarification or more confidence building on my side. I prefer desk top computers rather than the app, which I seldomly used.

Follow-up · Yes it was fully online. We opened a term deposit. The On-boarding was simple - easy steps, accomplished with little hassle. It is all about proof of identity and if you have the right documents like medicare card passport drivers licence it is easy.

I have been with Judo for more than two years and found Judo to be reliable with great customer service. Mostly the rates for a term deposit are among the leading contenders for best value.
The application process is very straightforward and the online app makes it easy to manage deposits. Rates are excellent and payments always arrive on time. Very happy with my experience with Judo Bank over the last 4 years

Whilst these guys seem to offer competetive rates I would srongly advise you to ensure the maturity date of a term deposit account (TDA) does not fall on a non business day. talking about an interest payment of $18.00, however this practice is surely nothing but daylight robbery. I deal with a number of Banks and nobody else has the gall to operate in this manner. Surely Judo has an obligation to ensure that any TDA opened has a maturity date that falls on a day that Judo can effect the paymnet process?

assist with clients that are subject to criminal activity. How? Simply by not providing an option for clients to get safe throughput of their term deposit. Also, the telephone access is another weakness. Having only one telephone number for contact, it is easy for hackers to transfer calls to a secondary destination. Thus obtaining an illegal contact where all sorts of information can be collected for the hackers to use.
I have a specific experience of these complaints and am currently attempting to ward off a hacker group from stealing my term deposit. How? The hackers control the access to Judo Bank and utilise Judo Bank's reluctance to develop safeguards for clients, thus creating problems for the client to prove they have not received their funds when ending their term deposit. The reality being Judo Bank has become a tacit conspirator of the funds they profess to secure!!
I would suggest looking elsewhere for a term deposit where there is a better interaction between the client and the bank.

After days of sitting on the phone trying to extract my matured deposit account from Me Bank I decided to look for an alternative. Judo bank not only had good tern deposit rates but they answered the phone promptly and were very helpful during the setting up process. And they will pay the matured amount directly in to my designated account .
We found it was hard navigating your system when we logged in, considering we're seniors and not so cluey with technical stuff. Also, it takes too much time to wait if we decide to call especially when we were having issues the last time.

Best current rate on a 5 year term deposit and the application process was really straight forward. Account was approved the same evening so I could make my deposit the following day. My Judo Term deposit (s) have been so easy to set up, change and rollover. I love the way it is produced with all the facts you need to know and with a loyalty roll over increase to boot. I would recommend Judo to anyone who just wants freedom of stress and worry. Set and forget and Judo is breath of fresh air that does not go stale. Absolutely no regrets at all. Love it.
I have established 2 term deposits with Judo and both have been easy to do, I particularly like that this bank has the govt guarantee for up to 250k on deposits which gives me peace of mind that my deposits are safe.
