Consistently Terrible "Service" – In my job I have to call AMP Resolution Life and their other branches, and I loathe having to call them!!! Usually a minimum of at least one hour's wait every single time with crazy making looped 'music' to listen to as well as the well worn 'apologies' for the 'unexpected' volume of calls... that excuse has been going on for over 25 years! almost impossible to contact – I have an Endowment Personal Super Plan which expires in two weeks. I requested a withdrawal form 3 weeks ago as directed on the website which did not arrive. Tried calling last Friday and was on hold for 2 hours and 36 minutes and was then cut off. Just does not seem right if you cannot get any response by email or on the phone. I now know I am unable to withdraw the cash until I am 65 which is four months after the policy matures. (this is because I am not retired). There is nowhere on the website to have the funds transferred to my super. If there is it is extremely difficult to navigate. This is my money and this just should not be so difficult. Also what I don't understand is why the policy doesn't mature when I turn 65.

be a week! I requested faster service and thus told would be 24 to 48 hours...this is their escalation... ( for such a simple thing...our banks provided certain documents to us on the spot!!!) 48 hours elapsed, so I rang AMP again...this time I waited 1.45 hours before I spoke to someone!! Another reassurance of escalation, another 24 hours elapsed..nil . Rang again, this time just an hours wait. Few minutes of talk then lo...cut off!! Rang again...30 mins wait...another reassurance!!! Amazing. Meanwhile, my husbands pension is delayed and Centrelink don't backdate pensions, so AMPs delays cost us money each day. Further, if we run out of time....Centrelink states the "claim may be rejected". I'd advise anyone NOT to buy AMPs products if they want service at any time. We are so fed up with their poor service provision (had same delays re setting up internet account 2 years ago) and thus imagine trying to make a claim when husband dies!! We will surrender the policy rather than have to deal with them again.

I would rate 0, but not an option. Do not go near AMP – My experience - still ongoing and been almost 12 months and nothing but frustration and bullying from AMP. 1. They do not give a stuff about you or your health. 2. You can email/mail documents a thousand times - they just throw them away or claim they never got them - they just ignore you when you show them your proof of emails and that you had… Read more

previously sent the information they keep requesting. I strongly believe they don't actually know that emails can be traced when opened! hello???? People can see when you open emails... Hello? Why say you don't have the information or request it again? When you can track the email and see you've opened it. clearly they have the mentality of the old days when insurance companies would say to "fax" everything, and of course the fax was "never received".. which continues now with emails and snail mail at AMP. 3. They will never listen to you. 4. I repeat number 3. Its almost as if they are trained to ignore you. 5. Do not trust these people. 6. The director - doesn't respond to complaints about the very company he so "proudly works for". 7. The claims staff will treat you like crap and when you respond accordingly they block you off email, but they will still email you and call you whenever they want? Double standards. 8. The staff actually continued to bully and harassed me after I told them a number of times to stop. 9. They act in "bad faith" which is a breach of contract law. 10. They will just make up anything to stagnate your case. 11. Useless, Stay clear at all costs - especially if you have mental health concerns. Do not go near AMP.

Something for you to note AMP for any success and to turn around your failing - dying/ worst rated super fun status in Australia. Did I mention worst rated super fund peoples. Some tips AMP -

1. Listen to people. 2. Ditch the "I am god" mentality, this is seriously your biggest mistake when dealing with customers. 3. The customer service/ claims staff should be completely restructured and a customer centric approach should be rolled out, inclusive of "How to speak English", "how to speak to people like human beings", "how to write an email", "how to write to a diverse group of people", "how to not bully out customers". I am aware of baby steps, so I would also recommend that your staff, immediately stop sending emails to customers. Not one email I received has been reader friendly. I provided this feedback but naturally the case manager just ignored it, along with my many many complaints about your service, to which not one reply was received even from the director when I emailed him on an number of occasions. He just fobbed it off to an even useless complaints team who did nothing. 4. Display empathy whilst doing your job. Empathy does not exist at AMP. 5. Hire someone who has actually lived though the experience of AMP. There is a number of negative comments here which are pretty much all the same. 6. I am not sure why your staff are so incompetent and useless, I can understand this if morale has been bad for few months even 12 months.. but this service has been years and years. Why? no one gives me answers at that place. 7. Toxic, Toxic, Toxic. You are a business, you require money to what? stay in business. 8. AMP'S website lures offers of these wonderful things and talks about "collaboration and working together" pfffttt - Lie. Not once has AMP ever worked with me. I signed up my super due to their website and the PDS and god was I ripped off. Not one thing listed on their website for customers have the done, the only thing AMP has done, is bully me and take fees out of my account. Easy fix AMP, actually work with people and train your staff to know the product you are selling - there is no I in team, as they say. Here is an idea once you have worked on the staffs "I am god" mentality, why don't you try adding your customer to the team. If I wanted an extortionate fee deducting, will ignore me super fund, I would have looked for that. Train your staff on your product. It's clearly stated on your website how you say you work with customers... Another sign of how you act in bad faith re - contract law.

If I was the new director of this company, transfer all super accounts to a subsidiary, restructure the business, count your losses and shut the super fund down. You will never get a larger share market with the experiences your team is giving its customers and that ever decreasing share price is only going to head further south unless you start listening.

Will not pay out whole of life cover – As if the death of a loved one isn’t traumatic enough, dealing with AMP has made it 10 times worse. Demanding several things as “evidence”, saying one thing and then reneging after talks with “Senior Trustees”, they have been ridiculous and misleading to deal with. Avoid AMP at all costs – I’ve really had the run around from several AMP staff members. My request to change beneficiaries was quite a simple one, now almost 5 months have gone by and it is still not resolved. Nobody cares, they promise call backs but don’t call, won’t allow you to escalate and are truly difficult to deal with. Unfortunately I had to give them 1 star as zero wasn’t an option. Show details

AMP LIFE has been giving me and a solicitor false misleading information  about my total disability payment  they said never existed,  but it did?

The misleading information coming from AMP goes  back as far as 2006 ,, 2012 , 2013,, 2014 2017,  September 10th 2020  December 18th 2020 

Then In march  2021 i got financial ombudsmen  afca Nick Silvester contacted AMP to find the TDP AMP then found my total disability  cover policy $48,000 

 I been on worker's compensation for 17 years , for a botched carpal tunnel syndrome release  operations on my hands in 2004 I have never worked since, my boss from challenge foundation had guaranteed me i was covered by the TDP payments,  but AMP misleading me so many times 

In 2006 after my workers compensation was partly settled $24,000 my solicitor  told me to contact  my superannuation funds  and apply for total disability payment,  so i contacted AMP  asked for application forms,  but they never did send them 

Years went by then in 2012 i contacted AMP  again asking for application forms to claim my TDP payment  again nothing was sent after 2 years of phone calls 2013 , 2014  to AMP i finally got  the TDP application forms i went got doctor   MCLEOD  to fill out the medical  forms see attached below, 

I lodge by fax my TDP froms to AMP, i had many phone conversation with AMP about my claim i was desperate to get  the claim through AMP [Name Removed] advised me to claim under hardship which i did thinking this will push my TDP payment through  quicker , instead AMP closed my accounts and never proceeded with the TDP claim

In 2013 i lost my home to banks foreclosing on my home,  AMP stuffed me around so much and still never processed my application forms back in 2014

I had a 14,9 ac property  with house  & 2x small dwellings ,i rented out in 2012 i was in trouble  trying to pay my mortgage i that why i tried to claim my TDP,  instead AMP from 2012 till 2014 claimed there was no cover , but there was $48.000 this money would of 100% saved my home from foreclosing left me with a $160,700 debt 

If amp had done the right thing in 2012 and let me claim my TDP payment i would of saved my home 

My wife left me after banks foreclosing on my home i raised 5 kids for 18 years 2 were my blood

My wife left me because i could not work and provide  for my family 

5 years i lived in my car not contacting my kids as i lost there INHERITANCE,  lost everything 

In 2017 i had settled  more of workers compensation claim , my solicitor  said have i tried to claim my TDP  i told him they stuffed me around and never processed my application forms back in 2014??  the solicitor from Scholfield King solicitor,  wrote to AMP about my TDP , after 6 month the REPLY from AMP was i only ever had rollover accounts and had no TDP on them  again AMP MISLEADING  the solicitor from Scholfield King see attached below 

I got in contact with  my old boss 2020  from the challenge foundation  had guaranteed me i was covered by the TDP payment so i contact September 10th 2020  [Name Removed] AMP COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT he also denied me my total disability payment said it never existed , FALSE information coming from AMP 

Then 18th December  2020 i contacted AMP COMPLAINTS DEPARTMENT [Name Removed] again he still brush me off saying there was no TDP cover on any of my account false and misleading information coming from AMP 

February  2021 i had ENOUGH of AMP LIES,,, 

 

So i contacted Nick Silvester ombudsmen AFCA he contacted AMP  and after my 16 years of false and misleading information coming from AMP they found my TDP POLICY WOW YIPPEE AMAZING 

BUT LITTLE TOO LATE this should of been addressed years ago from  2006 , 2012 ,2013 ,2014 2017, September 10th 2020  December 18th 2020 , 

Then 13 May they APROVED my TDP PAYMENT $48.000 wow i cried 

I lost everything no money can change the loss of my family  the loss ESTIMATES of over 3,400,000 , 

I have sent many emails to AMP asking for  and they mentioned to the ombudsmen  and me they looking into compensation but nothing in writing 

So i need legal help to claim compensation for misleading information coming from AMP over 16years of lies and deception causing me financial ruin 

I am now being looked after by a full-time career as after i lost everything  i self harm  3x AMP HAVE PUSHED ME AWAY too many times below is information  to show 

Below support  my claim for compensation 

1) My TDP claim i faxed  in 2014 that AMP closed my accounts look [Name Removed] stamped dated 2014 took 2 years to get the application forms AMP TDP, and letter faxed same day about [Name Removed] from AMP time date of phone conversation 

2) Scholfield King solicitor  letter saying that its only rollover accounts and had no TDP 

3) emails from AMP Complaints department  , [Name Removed] DENIAL OF my TDP September 10th 2020 December 18th 2020 

4) DEBT  $160,700  LEFT FROM FORECLOSING now  i have paid 

5) [Name Removed] Psychiatrist letters 

6) Dr parsonage Psychiatrist letter

7) Original TDP policy from challenge foundation had guaranteed the policy  existed that 16 years AMP DENIAL 

8) Approved claim TDP $48.000 , could of saved my home from foreclosing 

I have also have phone conversation  recordings from AMP and ombudsmen  saying AMP is looking into compensation but nothing in writing  so i want to fight for my rights and the rights of disability people being ripped off everyday  by AMP how many times has AMP told solicitor  there clients  have no TDP COVER

 

iam seeking compensation for misleading information coming from AMP

But we were removed from the  property  by sheriff couldn't get  back on property to get anything 

 

 iam on disability pension i cant afford  much but i will fight this till i die

Customer Service is non-existent – Been with this insurer for over 25 years. Policy is okay. Access to info and customer service when things change (like payment method, beneficiaries etc) is ridiculously poor. Unhelpful, refused to correct errors and completely ignored emails asking to confirm if issues resolved. They even send letters threatening to cancel the policy when in fact THEY have made the error! If you're shopping around, stay away from AMP. Not worth the anxiety. Show details

They are just tedious to deal with – Customer service is very sloppy ,It is rare to have any request resolved on first or second contact Every time you contact them have to explain the same thing over and over I have been a customer for years but will not renew again, this is because of the customer service with regard to payments I cant imagine what it must be like to make a claim… Read more

next 10 years. I can no longer do that. Thanks AMP I am now living pay to pay and supporting my 2 children. They had me down for 2 x insurance policies I never agreed to and when I contacted them about it, they made me feel like I did the wrong thing by not bringing it to their attention. should they not have detected that they were eating into my money that would eventually dwindle to nothing? his total life savings for superannuation of $50,000.

He has been working as a labourer in the western suburbs of Melbourne at a fruit shop. AMP since he has joined has gouged every single dollar without notification on life insurance product and only was advised he had ZERO funds in his superannuation fund after the fund sent a letter to him a letter advising him that his superannuation balance was too low to cover the insurance aspect of his superannuation (which he didn't even know he had).

He has been paying 2% in 'contribution fees' without ever been advised that he had a financial advisor (who he has Never met or heard of)

Please do not be apart of this super fund they have left my father in law in absolute poverty and gouged every dollar without notification. They will do the same to you.

tell me if this unknown advisor was recieving a commission, this is despite the royal commission finding the company guilty of charging fees for no service. AMP refused to let me speak to the complaints department as they told me that they don't answer their phone. I was told the complaints department would contact me in 7 to 10 days. Not good enough when I have been waiting a week already for an answer on this issue and the policy is due the next day. I guess AMP have enough customers that my premiums do not matter. I guess this is why their share price has taken a nose dive since the Royal commission.

Terrible service from a dishonest company – They have taken unauthorised extra payments from my bank and even though I have proven this with bank statements AMP are refusing to do anything about this. After speaking to at least 6 different people over 3 weeks all I get is lies.
