Excellent service – AMPS quoted for the supply and installation of a new hot water system. They inspected the awkward positioning of the unit, then advised on the various variable and did the job efficiently and at the agreed time and price. Could not want better service.

Crap and inaccurate service – Pathetic service from this plumber group. Charged me $290 for identifying a water leak in my upstairs bathroom...not fixing, just fault finding. Plumber insisted that it was my shower waterproofing despite not having used that shower for 2 days prior. Told him that I think it’s a leaking water pipe inside the wall by looking at the where it drips out downstairs. Plumber left buckets downstairs to catch the water and promised to follow up the next day. No follow up and no returning of my calls for several days. Engage another plumber who identified a burst water pipe and fixed it all in one go for $440.

All my communication was with a [name removed] who seems to be the services manager. His tactic was to play for time in the hope that the problem would go away, typical stalling tactics like the owner is overseas and he has to wait for him to return to discuss.

Opened a case with FairTrading and will keep pursuing a full refund for the botched work. Avoid using Amps plumbing as they cannot man up to their mistakes and make good their crap work. This incident happened early Jan and so has been several months of negotiating with them for a refund to no avail. No resolution with FairTrading either, so we will go to Tribunal next. It’s time that someone stand up against their crap work and for the owner to get more involved in his business instead of enjoying overseas holidays at the expense of ripped off customers.
