Great chairs – I've bought chairs from them, great service, great people and great product. The staff there were really passionate about the product they sold - which is more than you can say about some shops! You can cheaper stuff elsewhere, but it is usually 'knock off". Anibou has genuine designs and I have experienced, they last well. the range and the expertise

Rare quality! – I've not had much experiance with European furniture - however after my Architect introduced me to this small but interesting place just South of Cleveland Street in Redfern I cant help but think I have a new addiction. The product can be summed up as timeless quality and the style is well above fleeting fashion. It's a slightly surreal atmosphere, a bit like a Cathedral - some of the prices will make you gasp! They dont have everything on display - but once we (well, my Architect) asked to see something particular, we were welcomed to go through the warehouse (directly behind) and the quite extraordinary upstairs space.

A decent but expensive product but ghastly, amateur service – I have bought a substantial ammount of furniture from this shop. It has some very good sofas especially. They cost but they are worth the money and they are the kind of thing you keep forever. I recently furnished 2 properties from scratch, spending a lot of money at this shop. I probably sourced products from 8-10 furniture shops. In terms of service this shop was close to the bottom of the ladder.

The sales staff (men) have a supercilious attitude..is it that they would like to be able to afford to be the purchasers? Are they working for unpleasant employers? At least 2 of the males have been woefully unprofessional..inaccurate quotes, not interested in following up enquiries, reluctant to press manufacturers for agreed delivery dates etc.

There is a sense that the client is a sucker (maybe they fancy the Goldman Sachs "Muppet" mind set).

My advice is this: if you find what you like and don't mind the price tag, be very exacting with your expectations if they are important. Don't let the staff intimidate you or fob you off. There IS an owner/manager and maybe go there if you sense a problem. Good product Painful customer service
